Sir Stampalot Challenge - "Moving"

I decided to have a try at Janice and Andrew's, Sir Stampalot's Challenge "Moving" I want to wish them an even bigger success in their new premises, Ive been a customer of theirs for quite awhile and Ive found them one of the best companies to deal with, they are very helpful and will go out of their way to do so, and their turn around service is one of the best in the country. Also I want to thank Brenda for a fabulous Bloghop she arranged and carried out.
I have used one of Mo's delightful digi images, this one is called "Moving" and to be honest what parent hasnt had one of their little ones say they are leaving home, I certainly have and this is so appropriate for this challenge. Ive printed it out onto white card and then coloured it with my copic pens, after Ive cut it out and distressed the edges with a pale blue inkpad then mounted it onto a piece of blue card. The sentiment was designed and printed from my computer and was also mounted onto a piece of blue card.
The base card is a 8"x 7.50" white card, and for my first layer Ive used a dark blue card and one of four pattern papers again from the Nitwit Downloads, this one is a dark blue with a circle swirl pattern on, the second, third and fourth layers are made in smaller strips and Ive used the train edge border punch then layered up across the centre of the card. Then I mounted the mounted image in the centre and the sentiment was positioned at the right hand side at the bottom.

Good Morning Shirley

Your post brought a smile to my face, I think all of mine 'left home' at some point and vertured as far as the garden shed.

And there was one time about four years ago, when one (then 12) left and was not in the sheds, stables or anywhere we looked. Four hours later as it began to get dark we called the Police, the heicopter was put into action and they were searching everywhere.

The the heicopter picked up a image on their tracking system right at the back of one of the sheds and there he was wedged behind a storage cabinet. He had heard all the acitvity and got too frightened to come out.

Don't hink any of them have 'left home' since.

Back to your card, absolutely gorgeous Shirly, thank you so much for joining in the Stampalot challenge and good luck with the draws.

This is just the sweetest card, I HAVE to get that image!! It reminded me of my eldest daughter, while we were holidaying in Wales, waving good bye as she pushed her 'brick trollie' full of a few of her toys toward the Walsh mountains!

Hello Shirley, have you sweet in England motifs. I like to just very good. Your card is "sugar" and beautifully designed. Incidentally, I've just seen that we have the same sign and are already among the ancients!
Have you even so much snow as we in Germany?
With love und hugs

Beautiful card Shirley! Mo's images are stunning and your colouring is so fab! I love the subtle shades you've used and yes, two of my four have threatened to 'go to me nan's' to live and we let 'em! Mum soon got fed up of them and they of her....!
The other two knew which side their bread was buttered...! LOL!

Thank you for your lovely comment on my Valentine card and whilst I'd love to tell you it was for Brad Pitt, I have to confess it is for my
slightly handsomer husband of nearly 38 years!
Take care!
Hugs,
Ei

Anyhow, brilliant card, such lovely, gentle colours. Must admit, I told my mum i was leaving home when i was about 6 and was about to take the cat with me, but she told me to leave the cat behind - Didn't go very far, soon got fed up and went home again!
