Challenge #183 - "A Card for a Child" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Crafters, dont forget my blog candy finishes tonight at 6pm if youd like to enter please do, I will be picking a winner after its finished and should be able to announce it very quickly afterwards. I cannot believe that I have been running this blog for 6 years and my No.2 blog for 4, those years have flown so quickly and so much has happened in that time, youve heard of hatched, matched and despatched well Ive certainly had a few of those in that time, firstly my husbands daughters have produced three grandchildren and my grandson gave me my first great grandson, then my grandson and his wife got married and also my eldest daughter got remarried, and to finish of we lost my dear father in law and mother in law and my own mum in the last five years. It always amazes me that we manage somehow to carry on and cope with these things but I suppose thats why we are put here to do that.
Anyway todays Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is all about creating "A Card for a Child" and I know a good 50% of our cards are made for these little people so I dont think you will have any trouble with this theme. And before I carry on in two weeks time we are having something really special on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot so I really do hope that you will be visiting us then.
As always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

But of course this is providing you have used one of their products on your card and this could be either a image, paper or printable and you will find lots to choice from on their website The Paper Shelter so do give them a browse and see for yourself what they have to offer  you. But even if you dont use their products they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice to play with so you really cannot loose can you. And please dont forget that we only allow 3 entries into our Challenges and at least one of them must have a TPS Image or product on it.
And here is the Card I made for this Challenge.

I created this card for my Great Grandsons 2nd Birthday and I have used this "Adorable Fireman"  you will find him here, and printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him. I then cut him out with my rotatrim and mounted him onto a mount of yellow card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of yellow card, the paper is also from the same digi set as the Fireman and you will find it here. I then placed my mounted image in the middle of the shield shape and I created the sentiment on my computer and placed this also on a mount of yellow card. The number in the top right hand corner is a wooden one thats been coloured with a inkpad and is one from my stash.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your Inspiration and hopefully you to will want to enter this "A Card for a Child" Challenge.
This Card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-
