A Get Well Card for Mary

Well ladies I have made a card today as I really need to get myself into action, as we are of to Scotland in a weeks time and I will be visiting some of my lovely blogging friends while Im there, and this card is for a dear friend who has just had a foot operation and felt this lovely image from Whiff of Joy was exactly what I needed to create this get well card.
I stamped the image onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, then used the mega Oval Nestabilitie Die to cut her out, Ive also used the mega Scalloped edge for the mount, Ive also done the same with the sentiment which is another of WOJs stamps but before sticking them together Ive used a mauve inkpad around the edges to take the stark whiteness of them.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card cut from a piece of A3 card, I use the pieces Ive cut off for allsorts of things. The card sketch is one of Bev's and the first layer is a piece of the same mauve card that I used for the mounts and three of the papers from the new set from Donna of Bearly Mine Designs the first one is a pretty all over rose design, and the second layer is a multi striped one with shades of pink, blue and mauve, on this Ive used a lace border punch from Martha Stewart. On top of this Ive used a beautiful pink plaid design before putting a rafia ribbon across the centre with a mauve ribbon stuck on top, they were then attached to the back of the first mount.
I then stuck my mounted image on top towards the right, and my sentiment was stuck at the top on the left. I then created a flower spray from some roses and cherry blossom and other bits and pieces this was then stuck at the bottom around the mounted image. The last thing I did is stick some mauve gems at the top and bottom of my card.

  10. Oh Shirley, yes this was a perfect image to use for your friends card. And what a beautiful card it is too......hope you don't mind me adding it to my gallery, I love how you've combined the papers, and the flower arrangement is very pretty. Thank you for asking about Alan he's doing a bit better today, so hopefully the worst of it is over now and he can be on the mend. It was very worrying for a week or two there.
Hope you enjoy your week up in Scotland and that you get some decent weather while up there.
    hugs
    Donna xx
