Challenge #467 - A Birthday Card - The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot

 Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, can you believe how fast everything is growing in our gardens, here were I live the trees are leaving up and they look so fresh and green it does make me feel happy I hope it does you to. Anyway this weeks theme is all about creating 

A Birthday Card

And it doesn't matter who this to so you have open house to create one for anyone you like.
But I think its time for me to get on and to remind you that you will find some beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from for this weeks theme to. For my own card I chose this image
 

 My eldest daughter is always exercising so I felt this image was so right for her, its titled "Crow Bakasana" and its a judo position, and you will find it here. I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used my circle die to cut her out, and a fancy one with purple card for the mount.
The sentiment is one from my stash and was stamped and layered up like my image. The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first layer using the backing paper from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. I then placed my sentiment in the bottom right hand corner and my mounted image in the center of my card.

Challenge #465 - Girl Power - The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot

This young lady is titled "Skate Girl" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a rectangle die to cut her out and some blue card and a fancy die for the mount. The sentiment is one that I have stamped from my stash and has also been cut and mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount the same blue card as I used for the mount and the backing paper is from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. On top of this I have placed a doily and a piece of lace across the middle and then stuck to the back of the first mount. On top of this I have place my mounted image in the center towards the top and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.

Challenge #463 - Easter Time - The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, can you believe tomorrow is the start of yet another month and of course this coming weekend its 

 Easter Time

and of course my own great grandchildren will be rushing around the garden seeking lots of Easter Eggs, my eldest grandson bought some extra garden last year and of course for him it makes it much for fun for his sons to seek the hidden eggs, lets hope the weather is kind to him or it will be all indoors.
 But I think its time for me to get on and to remind you that you will find some beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from for this weeks theme to. For this weeks card I have used this Card
 
 
Ive got to admit this image always makes me smile and my second grandson has several chickens in his garden and no doubt this might happen if his son tries this trick and this card is the one I sent him for his two little ones. 
The image is titled "Easter Prank" and you will find it here,f I printed it onto a piece of white card then coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards I used a oval die to cut it out and with a larger one I cut a mount out of blue card, then layered it on top. The sentiment is one from my stash and was treated in the same way as the image, stamped and cut with a oval die and mounted onto another piece of the same blue card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card and the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. I placed this onto of the first mount and wrapped a ribbon down the middle and attached to the back of the mount.
I then placed my mounted image in the center with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner, to finish of I have used a couple Easter button in the bottom left hand corner.

Challenge #461 - Let it be Spring - The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot

 Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well I hope you are ready for this weeks theme Im so looking forward to this anyway

Im not a winter person and I can get very excited when I see crocus and daffodils coming out and Ive been fortunate to see both over the last month, now my magnolia is on the verge of bursting into bloom so our choice of theme is Spring and I know the girls are looking forward to seeing what you come up with and you will find lots of gorgeous images to cover this them on our website..

 This little lady is titled "Adorable Spring Piglet" and you will find it here, I printed onto white card and then used my copic pens on it, afterwards I used a rectangle die to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount out of pink card. 
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card and on top of this I have place the backing paper that came with the image and you will find that here. Then on top of this I have wrapped a pink ribbon around the left hand side, then placed my mounted image in the center towards the top and then I stamped a sentiment on another piece of white card and reversed the die cuts by using the fancy one for the sentiment a plain one for the mount and then positioned it in the bottom right hand corner.

Challenge #459 - For the Boys - The Paper Shelter Blogspot

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, I'm one of those lucky grandparents who seems to have mostly boys as grandchildren and great grandchildren but I also have two beautiful granddaughters and one gorgeous great granddaughter so I should'nt be to downhearted as altogether with my step children I also have 5 daughters, so you can see I have quite a lot of male cards to create for the family and my card this week is for one of my little ones I hope you like it so this weeks theme is

 As you can probably guess this image is very apt in the present day what with the fabulous series of Harry Potter and its called "The Cutest Wizard" and you will find it here. I printed it onto white card before colours it with my copic pens, afterwards I used a square die to cut it out and a larger one out of beige card for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with the first mount out of the same beige card and the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. I then placed my mounted image in the middle with a sentiment that I had stamped and mounted in the same way as the image. To finish of I have used some Halloween stamps around the image .

Challenge #457 - Shades of Blue - The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot

 Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers I hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to better weather, here in the UK has been cold, snowy and windy, I cannot wait for the longer and warmer days, Im not a winter person and love the long warm days, anyway I chose the following theme for this week

Shades of Blue

I have used this cutie for my own card and she is titled "Warm in Winter" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens and then cut it out with a square card and mount it onto a larger one out of blue card. The sentiment was stamped and cut out with a rectangle die and also mounted onto a larger one out of blue card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card and the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. I then placed my mounted image in the center towards the top and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. I then used a snowflake punch to create the snowflakes that have been stuck around the card.

Challenge #455 - For the one I love - The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot

 Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers well here we are already into the second month of 2021 it looks as if this year is going to fly by just as quickly as 2020 and before we blink our eyes we will approaching Xmas again. This last week here in Gloucestershire we have experienced some bad bouts of snow and ice and my poor hubby fell down our back steps after trying to sort out our dogs, hes still stiff but I'm hoping it wont belong before he feels himself again not much fun running around after someone with a bad back believe me.
Anyway this weeks theme is more or less all about Valentines Day which isn't to far away now so I have titled it

Challenge #453 - New Beginnings - The Paper Shelter Blogspot

 

 Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers and a very Happy New Year to you, although here in the UK we are still in full lock down I sincerely hope you are coping with this, I'm waiting to hear when I'm likely to have my vaccine jab for covid as Im in the 3rd group hopefully by the time this post goes live I will have had it as Ive been in self isolation for most of the last year, my only outings have been to the dentist, doctor and vets, hubby has been out most weeks shopping and working at our local steam railway so I'm still hoping I don't succumb to this horrible virus.

Anyway I'm rattling on far to long and should be telling you what the theme is this week and it is

I chose this image to create a card so that I could send it to my grandson when his daughter was born in September its titled "Fatherly Love" and you will find it here, except for not having glasses this image is very like my grandson and I sincerely hope he loved as much as I did. I printed the image onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used a rectangle die to cut it out and a fancy one and blue card I cut out the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and I used another die to cut this out and mount it on the same blue card as the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card and the backing paper that came with the image and you will find it here. I then placed the mounted image in the center with the sentiment below in the center.

 This little lady is so pretty and she is called "Real Life Hero" and you will find him here, I printed him onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I cut him out with one of my rectangle dies, afterwards I cut a larger one with a fancy edge in blue card and mounted them up together. The sentiment is stamped onto white card and cut with the same rectangle dies in two sizes and mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of the same pink card, the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find him here. I layered the paper onto a piece of the same pink card as the image and then placed a square doily in the middle and layered my mounted image on top, with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
