Challenge #196 - Wedding or Anniversary - Pink Gem Designs

Good Morning Gemsters, Im writing up this post a couple of weeks early due to the fact that Im hoping by the time this also goes live that I will be recovering from a operation, keep your fingers crossed all goes well. Well the update to this is I have now got my provisional operation date the 5th July, so Im really hoping that it goes ahead without any hiccups as its been a struggle to get this far but hoping once its done I can start to live some sort of normality again.
Anyway todays theme is all about "Weddings and Anniversary's" and if your anything like me I certainly do have a lot of these sort of cards to deal with during the year.
As always our brilliant sponsor and designer is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs  do please go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

what beautiful images and papers she has created for you to play with.
And here is the Card I created for this Challenge

These two are titled "Mr and Mrs Hedgie" and you will find them here, they are definitely a cute couple I printed them onto white card then used my copic pens to colour them, afterwards I used a Little B Heart shape die to cut them out and a fancy one from the same die set for the mount out of blue card, I have also stamped a sentiment on another piece of white card and used a smaller die to cut this out and again used a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card, the papers I have used are also from Pink Gem Designs and this design is titled "Blue Sweetheart" and you will find it here, I then used a piece of white lace to wrap around the right hand side of the card, then on top of this I have put a heart doily towards the left with my mounted image on towards and the mounted sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Weddings and Anniversary" Challenge.

Challenge #239 - "Away with the Fairies" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well can you believe that we are already into March, for me this is a very busy month as I have so many family birthdays that Im afraid that I will forget someone that I like to get well ahead with my cards.
I have been suffering with a chest infection and looking after a sick neighbour who has now been taken into respite care so a little time has been returned to me, though today I have a hospital appt and will be scheduling this post.
Well todays Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is themed "Away with the Fairies" and this was a phrase that my daughter told me I was that, though it may well be true as I love anything to do with the little people.
Before I get to deep in my young past you will want to know what is going on and this will be sponsored by our very generous sponsors Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But this is providing you have used one of their products on your card and this could be either a Image, Paper or Printable and you will find lots to choose from at The Paper Shelter Website here, and even if you dont use one of these they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice. But we only allow 3 entries into our Challenges and at least one of those must use on of The Paper Shelter products.
And for my card I used this gorgeous image:-

And this little lady is "My hair" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card and then cut her out with a Little B die and a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card the papers are from "Bewitched" papers and you will find them here, I have used 3 different papers the first I used on the base mount and the other two I cut into squares and used a heart corner punch on each of the corners these were layered up and the mounted image was then placed towards the top on the left and the sentiment was then put under it in the right hand corner.
To finish of I have used some Nestabilie leaf die cuts and some punched out pink flowers to create a frame around the mounted image.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to want to take part in this "Away with the Fairies".

Good Morning Gemsters another fortnight has flown and this time its the Pink Teams turn to host the Challenge and this time for a "Boys Birthday" theme and I know it can be a struggle for us to create a suitable card for a boy, Janet has some fabulous young boy images and I hope you will like my choice for my card.
But before I jump ahead of myself I must tell you we are so lucky to be able to choose any image to play with and you will find lots of pick from over on Janet's "Pink Gem Designs" website

And now for the reveal of my own card

This young man is called "Gaming Andy" you will find him here, and Im sure you can relate to him very easily if your own son is addicted to playing his gaming machine. I printed him onto white card
then coloured him with my copic pens, afterwards I used the Little B's Square die to cut him out and a larger fancy one for the mount out of blue card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card, the papers are also from Pink Gem Designs and this set is titled "Boys Toys" and you will find them here. I have used two papers the first a polka dot one with a blue background and the second a yellow backed zig zag design which was placed on a piece of blue card and placed down the left hand side. I used a papercraft die to cut out the sentiment which was placed at the bottom on the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a vist to the Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Boys Birthday" Challenge.

But before I show you my card I will tell you as always our very generous sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are giving away a $30. voucher to spend on their website

And now for the reveal of my card

This little imp is "Hilarous Cupid" and you will find him here, and I printed him onto white card and then coloured him with my copic pens, afterwards I used the Little B heart dies to cut him out and a larger one with a fancy edge out of red card for the mount. I also stamped the sentiment onto another piece of white card and cut this out with a smaller die also from Little B and mounted it in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is a red card on top of which I have used a paper from the "Valentine" design also from The Paper Shelter and you will find it here. On top of this I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the left side and attached it to the back of the first mout.
I then used a heart doily and placed in the bottom right hand corner and placed the sentiment on top.
The mounted image was placed at a angle in the top left hand corner and to finish of I have used two heart buttons in the top right hand corner.
