Challenge #297 - Flower Power - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers Im writing up this post a couple of weeks before it goes live and Im hoping by the actual date that it does I will be recovering from a operation (still not date, still waiting) so in the mean time Nikki one of my Design Team has been promoted to taking on the responsibility of running the Challenges for now, I do hope that you will support her every way you can Im really grateful to her, thank you my love.
This weeks Challenge is all about  "Flowers" and if your anything like me the more the merrier but of course with the postal charges going up all the time the cheapest way is to find colourful printed backing papers instead but on this card I have gone a bit mad hope you like the results.
But firstly you will want to know who our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you dont, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation dont you think.
And now for the big reveal

and Im really pleased with the end result this little chap is called "Cheerful Humming Bird" and you will find him here, I printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I used one of Sue Wilsons dies to cut him out and a fancy one for the mount out of beige card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with the first mount out of the same beige card and the backing paper is also from the same digi image set and you will find it here,  I  used a sentiment from my stash which I stamped onto white card and cut in the same shape as the main image, this was then mounted on top of some beige card and placed in the bottom right hand corner.
I then placed my mounted image in the center and around it I used leaf dies and white and pink lily flowers, and to finish of I have used several different coloured Nuvo drops from Tonic, down the right hand side.
I do hope you like the result and if you do please do go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Flower Power" Challenge.

ABC Challenges - "N is for Noel"

Good Morning Crafters, well this is the second post for me today and this time its a ABC Challenge and as we have reached the letter "N" its all about Christmas and we are being sponsored by Magnolicious and they are offering a voucher to spend on their website.

And here is the card I created for this Challenge

This little lady is "Tilda with Present" and I stamped here onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, I also used two more stamps the "Christmas Carol" and "Noel" stamp and did coloured the sentiment and used a light blue over the Carol.
I then cut them out with a Sue Wilson dies and mounted them again on a larger one of red card. The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and then used a red card for the mount and on top of this I have used a paper from Phil Martins paper pad and on top of this I have placed a snowflake border across the top from Sue Wilson, then placed my mounted images as shown in the photo. To finish of I have used a punched out snowflake in the bottom left hand corner and pearls across the top on the snowflake border.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will pay a visit to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "N is for Noel" Challenge.

Challenge #159 - "Charming" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Crafters, well it looks as if the weather has started to reverse back to the wet one again and I suppose we ought not to be to greedy at least we had a lovely couple of weeks and I just hope we shall have some more of those in the future. This weeks Challenge over at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is all about using "Charms" on your Card, these were very popular a couple of years ago and Im sure you have them somewhere in your stash I know I have a fabulous selection to choose from.
As always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

But as always this comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card and this could be either a image, paper or printable but even if you havent they will still offer you 3 digi images of your own choice, so you really have nothing to loose by taking part in this Challenge, but please do go and pay their website The Paper Shelter and see for yourself what fabulous products they have on offer, and they are always updating their library all the time.
Anyway I have used this cute image for my card

This one is called "So Pretty"  you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards  used my Nestabilitie die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount.
The main card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the papers are also from The Paper Shelter and this set is titled "Shopping Girl" and you will find them here. I have used four different designs, the first a blue background with pink and blue flowers on, the second is a pink one and I have used a flower border punch from Martha Stewart, the third a darker pink and this has pink flowers and the last mount is a double blue strip on and this is placed behind the image.
On top of these I have placed my mounted image, and the sentiment is placed down the right hand side and this also from the stamp die set and as the fancy mount. To finish of I have used one of the Sue Wilson Bow Dies and created the bow in the top right hand corner, from this I have dangled a mirror brad and attached to this is a bag and dress charm.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Charming" Challenge.
