Challenge #217 - Embossing of any Kind" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well Im sure most of the children have gone back to School today or possibly next week and hopefully it wont be long before you will be able to spend a bit more time crafting without them wanting to join in. This weeks them over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot  is "Embossing of any Kind" and this means either wet embossing with the powders and heat gun, or using the folders to run through your machines, so it couldnt be any easier could it?
As always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

And as always this comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, but even if you havent used you will still be eligible for 3 digi images of your own choice, so you really cannot loose can you. You will find lots of Images, Papers and Printables on their website here "The Paper Shelter" and the money exchange is extremely good so you will find they very reasonable to buy, I hope you enjoy your browse on their website.
For my Image for this challenge I have used this sweet girl

This is called "Cool Student" and as a lot of the older children dont go onto College for another couple of weeks I thought it was appropriate for my older grandchildren who are due to start then. You will find her here, and I printed her as always onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, I then cut her out using a Nestabilitie Labels die and used a fancy one for the mount.
The sentiment was stamped and mounted of a tag die using the same backing card I used for the image. The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of orange card, the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. On top of this I used some of the orange card and ran it through a embossing folder and used a corner chopper to finish of the edges, this was then placed on top of the first mount and the image placed in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right.
I then created a flower with a Heartfelt die and stamp using a orange inkpad to distress it, this was then layered up and mounted in the top right hand corner, to finish of I used six orange pearls down the left hand side in the top and bottom corners.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Embossing of any Kind" Challenge.

A Card using the new Heartfelt Sparkling Poinsettia Stamps

Good Morning Crafters, well unfortunately as Ive not managed to create a card for this weeks theme over on Facebooks "Sundays with Santa" - Ribbons and Lace but as I had created several cards a couple of weeks ago I hope that it wouldnt be to much a disappointment in uploading this one.
Ive used the Collage stamp by stamping it onto white card then colouring it with my copic pens, I then cut it out around the stamp edge and layered it up onto red card, I also used one of the backing paper designs from the stamp and paper Design Set and layered this also up onto red card.
I used one of the ticket sentiments and layered this also up onto red card.
I hope you like the result, I should also say that my hubby has been trying to update my main desktop machine to Windows 10 and is not having much fun with all the settings so Im having to manage on my backup machine.

A Christmas Card created with the new Heartfelt Stamps and Dies

Good Morning Crafters, I absolutely adore Heartfelt Dies and Stamps and this months release was the new Poinsettia design, and I have used the poinsettia stamp on parchment paper and then used white embossing powder to emboss them, afterwards I cut them out with the dies that come with the set. To colour them I used the Viva 3d paint on the back of the petals and leaves.
The main card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of red card and a second one out of green, both these were embossed using a Sue Wilson holly embossing folders. I then layered them up and with one of the card toppers from the Poinsettia paper pad I layered this on top of both the layers.
I used some of the layered up poinsettia petals to create the four flowers you can see, and I placed them around the two edges at the bottom and one in the top right hand corner. The final thing was the sentiment that also came in the paper pad, this was layered up again on red and green card and placed in the top right hand corner. I also used red PVA glue to create the red spots around the edge, but Im afraid the glue is a bit lumpy and it was difficult to get a perfect dot with the bottle.

A Card using the new Heartfelt Blazing Poppies Stamps and Dies

Good Morning Crafters, this is actually my third card using these gorgeous stamps and dies from Heartfelt designs, this latest set Blazing Poppies is one of my favourite sets. I created the flowers (shown at the top and either side of the vase) but stamping the image onto white card then coloured them with my inkpads, I then cut them out with the die that comes with these design set and formed the flowers and layered them up.
The vase and the flower behind it were complete stamps which I also stamped onto white card then used my copic pens to colour them both
afterwards I cut them out completely and in the centers of all the flowers I used a large black glitter and left them to dry.
The base card card is a 8"x 7.75" white card with a first mount out of red card and a second out of black, the backing paper is from the same design set as the poppies and has then been placed on top of the mounts.
I shaped the vase and the other cut out stamped piece and layered them up in the bottom left hand corner, I also placed two of the smaller poppies either side to created a bigger punch of flowers, and at the top of the paper there were a further two printed poppied and on top of these I placed the other 2 poppies that I created earlier. The final flourish is the sentiment also from the same design set cut it out and placed it on the pocket.

ABC Challenges - "W for Water"

Good Morning Crafters, welcome to a brand new month, hasnt the year flown its Christmas in a few weeks now I hope that you have started sorting out your Christmas cards, luckily I have spend three days this week getting them inserted, written and put in envelopes, but Ive still got six more to make. Anyway this months challenge is "W for Water" over on the ABC Challenge Blogspot and for this one we are being sponsored by

And here is the card I made for this Challenge.

And for the image I have used a brand new design from Marianne Designs I have printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him. Afterwards I used Heartfelt Designs Die to cut him out and a larger one for the mount. The sentiment was one I found on the internet and then printed this also onto white card and cut this out also using a Heartfelt Designs Label die.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card the 3 papers I have used are from Sweetshoppes "Make a Splash" design set, and I have used three papers, the first a blue background with splash signs on, the second a orange zig-zag pattern and this I used a border punch that looked like waves, and the third is a strip down the middle with stars on and a white background.
The mounted image was then placed in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom towards the right. The last thing was the six candi buttons that were stuck down the left hand side.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to our "ABC Challenge Blogspot" and take part in this "W for Water" Challenge and I look forward to seeing your cards or projects.

Challenge #71 - Bearlymine Designs "Hearts Galore" Challenge

Good Morning Crafters,  I hope your beginning to recover from all that snow we've had, we had about 10inches in the end, and Im hoping it wont belong now before its all gone and we are back to normal again, Ive got to be honest I prefer the rain any day to the disruption that the snow provokes in this neck of the woods.
Anyway back to this weeks Challenge over on Bearlymine Designs and because we are creeping very quickly to Valentines day we are having a "Hearts Galore" Challenge and weve been lucky to get two new sponsors for this one, firstly "Alota Rubber Stamps":-

and they are offering a fabulous prize of

And our second sponsor is "Noor Designs"

And they are offering a prize of

Wow two fabulous prizes of on offer, what I would give to receive at least one of them, anyway here is my card for the Challenge.
For my card I have used a Heartfelt Stamp and the corresponding set of Dies, the stamped image was coloured with my copics and then cut our with a heart die, I then mounted it onto a piece of heart diecut. The sentiment is one I found on the internet and I have used my computer to write it out and then mounted it also onto a piece of red card, because the original was to big for the space I have.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, and the beautiful papers I have used are from Donna's Bearlymine "Love Dreams" digi paper set and you will find them here, the first a beautiful flourish paper with hearts on and the second is a square of paper which has a red background and lots of hearts on it, this I have used a heart border and corner punches from Martha Stewart, and then laid in the middle of the first mount.
I then wrapped a organza ribbon around the card and laid my mounted image towards the right, over the top I have used two of the die cuts that I cut out of red card, these were all created with the Heartfelt Die set, and the sentiment was placed at the bottom on the right.
And to finish of I have use two heart gems at the top and a further heart die cut at the bottom. Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and I hope that you will then want to take part in this weeks "Hearts Galore" Challenge.
