Challenge #143 - "All Wrapped Up" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning fellow Crafters, well Ive been caught out this morning I made sure that the Challenge Post was written up but totally forgot to write up my own blog, what a daft person, Ive been worrying all night about the inlinz thing and it worked perfectly this morning and I went to look on my own blog and my own post was missing I cant believe I forgot to write it up and schedule it as I normally do. Anyway it wont do to carry on I must write up my post so here we go, this week over on The Paper Shelter its all about "Wrapping Up" originally when I picked this theme it was supposed to be about wrapping up against the cold but a lot of the team saw it as something else and have gone with it so I will leave the interpretation up to you.
Anyway as always our very generous sponsors are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30.

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

And this comes with the usual stipulation that you must have used one of their products on your card and this could be a image, paper or printable and even if you dont they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice if you are chosen by random org, but I do urge you to pay a visit to their website The Paper Shelter and see for yourself what brilliant value they are especially against the pound.
And now for my own card

For my image I used "The Beautiful Skier" and you will find it here, and I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her then I cut her out completely. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was placed onto a diecut snowflake.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of white pearlescent card and on top of this I have used one of the Bearlymine digi papers this a snowflake design on a blue background. Then I used more of the pearlescent card and die cut two landscape backgrounds and then placed them at the back of the card towards the top, then I placed my cut out image on the left handside and then I cut the ski's and poles (not sure of the official name for them never having skied) and placed the two ski's against the left handside and the poles are stuck in the snow with the sentiment towards the right handside. To finish of I have punched out a snowflake and placed it in the ski.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "All Wrapped Up" Challenge.

Challenge #141 - The Paper Shelter - "Winter Blues"

Good Morning Crafters, well its the turn of the A Team to make cards for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and this weeks theme is "Winter Blues" and we want to see you use Blue as your main colour and it should suit the weather to, though at the moment we seem to be avoiding snow but how long for Im not sure but its really been wet here in the UK and I know that in some places its been so bad that they have suffered floods, luckily we live up on the side of the hill and the water just seems to collect at the bottom of the road.
Anyway before I show you what I have been up to you will want to know all about the prize, and as always we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter and they have offered a fabulous prize of $30.

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

but this is providing you have used one of the products on your card which could be either a image, paper or printable but even it you done they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, I think that is one very generous prize, but if you would like to visit their website you will find lots of beautiful and stunning images and all up to date, as they are always adding to their library, you will find them at The Paper Shelter website, just click on their name and browse to your hearts delight.
And now for the card I have made and here it is:-

For the image I have used the "Snow Angel" and your will find it here, I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.8 and the mount is a fancy one which was cut out of blue card. The sentiment is from my stash and has been stuck on a banner die.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, and the paper I have used is from Bearlymine Designs its one of her Christmas designs. I then used Memory Box dies to create the border and corners and I have used white pearlescent card. The mounted image was then placed in the center and the sentiment was placed across the bottom right hand corner.
Now that you have seen my card I do hope you will pop across to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented "A" Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will feel you to can take part in this "Winter Blues" Challenge.

The mount I have used is one of the Cheery Lynn Dies, and the sentiment is one from my stash that I have stamped onto another piece of white card and then mounted it onto a piece of pink card.
The main card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and the papers I have used are from Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Spring Mist" for the first mount and then I have used one from the "Floral Dreams" white I cut into a square and used my border and corner punches from Martha Stewart, this was placed in the middle of the first mount.
The house is one of the Memory Box dies I have also used some of the left over pink card for the roof and the window and its box. The fence is yet another of the dies as is the leaf thats been down the left side, to finish of I have used some some buttons as flowers and popped some glitter glue in the centres.

The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first die of blue card and the papers I have used are Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Spring Flight" and "Spring Delights" and I have cut them to slant down the card at an angle and Ive used a rabbit border punch on all three and layered them up, though they arnt to easy to see but they are turquoise, yellow and green backgrounds with flowers on.

I actually bought several images from Alota Stamps and this is what I created for you.

She was a actual SVG image and my dear husband converted it to a jpg to allow me to use it and I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a oval Nestabilitie die to cut it out. The mount is one of the new Oval Nestabilitie Die and the sentiment was also from the same die set, and the actual sentiment phrase is from Stamps Away.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, and the papers I have used are from Donna's Bearlymine "Vintage Lace" Digi Paper Set and you will find them here. I have used my first paper for the base mount then used one of the Cheery Lynn Circle Doily dies for the mount behind the image, then on top I have used a Memory Box lattice die cut in pink card for the strip and then is yet a swirl die in green.
I positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment below on the right, I then used some of the left over papers and yet another of the Cheery Lynn Flower dies and created the large daisy in the top left hand corner which has been stuck to the card on top of some punched out holly leaves and some pink swirls.

I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I cut the image out with a Nestabilitie die and a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as my Image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, the papers I have used are from Donna's Bearlymine "Small Dots and Plaids" digi papers and you will find them here. I have created the card to the sketch about and then across the middle I have wrapped a piece of pretty lace and attached it at the back of the first mount.
I then placed my mounted image in the center with the sentiment at the bottom on the right as the Sketch shows, I did also use a piece of the left over card to cut a corner out with a Memory Box die, the last two things are the flags at the top with flag buttons on top, these were created with one of the Epiphany punches and the last little flourish are the three roses along the right hand side of the image, these were stuck to the card with silicone glue and punched out rose leaves.

Good Morning Crafters,  I hope your beginning to recover from all that snow we've had, we had about 10inches in the end, and Im hoping it wont belong now before its all gone and we are back to normal again, Ive got to be honest I prefer the rain any day to the disruption that the snow provokes in this neck of the woods.

For my card I have used a Heartfelt Stamp and the corresponding set of Dies, the stamped image was coloured with my copics and then cut our with a heart die, I then mounted it onto a piece of heart diecut. The sentiment is one I found on the internet and I have used my computer to write it out and then mounted it also onto a piece of red card, because the original was to big for the space I have.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, and the beautiful papers I have used are from Donna's Bearlymine "Love Dreams" digi paper set and you will find them here, the first a beautiful flourish paper with hearts on and the second is a square of paper which has a red background and lots of hearts on it, this I have used a heart border and corner punches from Martha Stewart, and then laid in the middle of the first mount.
I then wrapped a organza ribbon around the card and laid my mounted image towards the right, over the top I have used two of the die cuts that I cut out of red card, these were all created with the Heartfelt Die set, and the sentiment was placed at the bottom on the right.
And to finish of I have use two heart gems at the top and a further heart die cut at the bottom. Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and I hope that you will then want to take part in this weeks "Hearts Galore" Challenge.
