A Card for Sugary Sunday and Sugar Bowl Challenges

Good Morning Crafters, oh my the weather is just appalling here in Gloucestershire, its raining and its cold in fact weve had to put our heating on again as the house was colder inside than out, Im beginning to wonder if we are ever going to have a good summer, I just hope it changes before this weekend as its going to be so cold for my great grandsons Christening otherwise. We are supposed to be sailing on the broads afterwards for the reception, its been many years since Ive been anywhere near them so it will be lovely if its a nice day, though I am worried about getting bitten as Im one of those unlucky people who gets badly effected near water in the summer.
Anyway this weeks Sugar Bowl card and Sugary Sunday Challenge is all about using Leanne Ellis images and Ive used this one titled "Time Flies" and you will find it at Funky Kits. Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I cut her out with my rotatrim and then mounted her onto a piece of pink card thats been cut with my deckle edged cutter. The sentiment was done in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and the papers I have used are from First Editions "Love Letters" new paper pad,  Ive used three of the papers for my card, then placed my mounted image in the middle and the sentiment below on the right. To finish of I have used a La La Land wings die and cut them out of pearlescent card, the watch is a Tim Holtz one that I have mounted on top of the wings.

Good Morning Crafters, Im so sorry for not being around much for the last couple of weeks, since a hospital appointment over a week ago I have been suffering rather badly with a condition that has really not made me feel like crafting and Im also trying to make samples for my friend Sarah Hallam, so have been concentrating on getting them done. But as its my turn to host The Paper Shelter Challenge this week I have made this card for this weeks Challenge "Love is in the Air" so before I show you my card I will tell you who are our sponsors and the fabulous prizes they have to offer.
As always our very generous sponsor is Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous main prize of $30.

And as always this comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card, but dont despair even if you haven't they will still offer you 3 digi images of your own choice, so you carnt loose with this Challenge. You really should go and visit The Paper Shelter Website and see for yourself what fabulous value and stunning images, papers and printables they have to over you, plus which they always have a special offer running, so its always a good time to go and browse for yourself here.
And now for my card.

I have used this fabulous image of "Pepe L'Souris in Love" and you will find it here, and I have printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I have used a rectangle die to cut him out, and the Nestabilitie Postage Die for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been stamped onto white card and then cut out with a Heart Die from Nestabilities and mounted on a larger one from red card.
The main card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, the papers are also from The Paper Shelters "Pepe L'Souris" digi paper set, and I have used three papers the first is a stripped one with cheese on, and the second with hearts I have cut into a 5" square and then used the Martha Stewart  Heart Border and Corner punches on it. I then layered it up on top of the first layer and with a piece of red muslin I have wrapped a piece of lace from my stash, around the middle which was placed on a wide piece of red ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount. I also have used the last paper and cut a large heart and tucked that behind the lace.
On top of this I have placed my mounted image and stuck the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have created a red ribbon and stuck this on the heart at the top on the right and placed a large gem brad through the ribbon.

Its a busy week in the Chalmers household this coming week, both hubby and I have hospital appointments his Thursday and mine Friday it wouldnt be so bad but its over 20 miles away, its a shame they couldnt get their act together and have it on the same day but you know what hospitals are like.
Anyway todays card has been made for this months Crafters Companion "Flowers" Challenge, and I have cheated and used one of their card companions, I printed it out from the gorgeous Christine Haworth "Poppets" Cd and made it up as it suggests but changing the lace strip down the side with their embellishments, I also popped some carnations down it to, just to give it more focus. The sentiment is also from the same kit and was placed at the bottom below the image.

Hi my name is Beth, I am 19 years old and am studying a Degree in illustration at Blackpool University.
I started drawing images for my Mum , who made cards with them and then she put them on her blog . She got lots of great comments and people saying i should sell them - so here we are!
I hope you enjoy my images and would love to see any creations you make with them.

We were lucky enough to be given several images to chose from and I picked this one for my Card.

I printed the image onto Kraft card then used my Lyra Polychrome Pencils to colour it, afterwards I used my rotatrim to cut it to size, I then placed it onto a piece of brown card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of brown card and I then used a "Go Kraft" printed digi paper from Sweethshoppe Digi Downloads for my first mount and then placed my mounted image in the center.
I then used some of the brown paper and Britainnia sentiment dies to create the Happy Birthday at the bottom which was stuck on the slant.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will go and visit the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot, and see for yourself what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this fortnights "Anything Goes" Challenge.

Challenge #107 - The Paper Shelter - "Spring Delights"

Good Morning Crafters, when is Spring going to start, my garden has some crocus out and a few daffodils in but its so depressing as normally at this time of the year more green would be showing on our bushes and trees, but here in Gloucestershire everything seems to be on hold I do hope it soon warms up and starts to feel warmer, lets hope it wont be long.
Anyway todays Challenge over at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is I hope the start of this process as we want to see some "Spring Delights" on your cards, colour, image and even hopefully some flowers and as usual our very generous sponsors are Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter and they are offering you a fabulous prize of $30.
And this is providing you have used one of their images on your card, but even if you havent they are still going to give you three images of your own choice. Ive also got some brilliant news as we are nearing a 1000 followers and once weve hit that target they are going to offering you some really fabulous prizes, and we are only 4 people away from that magic time.
And now here is my card for this weeks Challenge I hope you like it.

Isnt she cute and this image is called "Enchanted Love" and you will find her here, Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I have used Nestabilitie Die No.7 to cut her out then drawn around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is one of my stash and its been then stamped onto a white card and cut out with a tag die, and I have created the mount in the same way as the image's mount by drawing around the die and then cutting out.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, and papers I have used are from The Paper Shelters "Zoe's Spring Papers" quite appropriate and you will find them here. I have then placed a very pretty pink one for my first mount is has flowers all around the edge of it, then used a green paper and a large doily die from Create, and placed it on top in the center.
The mounted image was then placed towards the top left hand corner and the tag sentiment tucked behind it at the top on the right. I then used several swirl dies on some green card and also used a Joy die to create the leaf sprays and created a corner at the bottom on the right hand side. Afterwards I used several rolled flower dies to create the flowers, then placed them at different places in different sizes along the whole length of the spray.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this weeks "Spring Delights" Challenge.

and for our third Sponsor we have

and Donna is offering a prize of
To spend on her website.

Wow fabulous prizes on offer and I know you will want to try and win them, and here is my card for this weeks "Anything Goes" Challenge.

For my card I have used this gorgeous Whiff of Joy stamp and then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut her out and then used a pink inkpad around the edges, the mount is one of the Fancy ones that go with the same die. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been stamped onto another piece of white card then mounted onto a piece of pink.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and the papers I have used for my card are from Donna of Bearlymine Designs "Floral Breeze" digi paper set, the first paper is a very pretty pink background with a lace edge, flowers and wording on it, for my doilies (Cheery Lynn) I have used two more of the papers from the same set in pink, I have also laid a piece of white net behind one of them and then across the center I have woven some pink ribbon through some eyelet lace and attached it to the back of the mount.
To finish of I have laid my mounted image in the center with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, and then created a flower spray in the top left hand corner with serveral roses in different sizes and pearl sprays and white stephanus, these were stuck to the card with silicone glue on top of some punched out rose leaves.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Anything Goes" Challenge.
