Pink Gem Challenges - Challenge #115 - Mothers Day, Birthday or Special Lady
Please can you scroll down for the ABC DT Challenge Card as its below this one.
Good Morning all my faithful followers, I have some fabulous news to pass on to you, I was asked by Janet of Pink Gem Designs if I would like to join one of her Design Teams and I was thrilled to say "Yes Please" and today is the launch of my first Challenge and I sincerely hope that you like the result.
And of course Pink Gem Designs is the sponsor of this Challenge and the theme this time is to create a card for either your "Mother, Birthday or for a Special Lady" in your life, unfortunately I lost my mum a few years ago so I made my card for a special friend instead, and here is my card.
And I even got my own watermark and that is another story, I had quite a job to sort that out, but now its as easy as anything. For my image I have used this gorgeous "Grace with a Rose" and you will find her here, I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a Marianne die to cut her out.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is a piece of pink card, the papers I have used are from Pink Gem Designs its Fleur to Lis design and unfortunately it does not look as if Janet has this in her shop anymore, I have used two of the papers a pink and lime green which I used a border punch from Tonic to punch the two sides and then laid it across the card then used a piece of pink ribbon and a piece of lace and attached it to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed in the middle of the card, and the sentiment is again one of the ticket stamps from Pink Gem Designs and you will find them here, I mounted it onto another piece of pink card and placed across the bottom right hand corner.
To finish of I have used several sized roses and placed them in the top left hand corner and these were attached to the card with silicone glue and I also used punched out rose leaves underneath the roses.
Now that you've seen my Card I do hope that you will now go and pay a visit to the Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Pink Design Team have created for you inspiration and hopefully you to will take part in this "Mothers Day, Birthday, or Special Lady" Challenge.

I used some snow writer foam on her collar and cuffs also on her ear muffs to. The sentiment is one from my stash thats been stamped onto white card and then cut out by a circle die and mounted on a punched out Snowflake.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white with a first mount of blue card and the paper is from the Sweetshoppe Designs its a blue background with snow on it and clouds. On top of this I have placed a diecut Fir tree which was cut with Marianne Die, and a used a Memory box border die of trees along the bottom.
I then placed my mounted image in the center and before adding the extra's I took a piece of white pearlescent card in a 7"x 7" size and used another of the Martha Stewart large Border and Corner dies to create the background which was then placed behind the first mount making the card larger.
To finish of I have cut out the ski's and sticks with a Marianne Die and placed to the right of the main image, the final flourish is the two layered snowflake at the top on the right and the sentiment on the left.

Good Morning fellow Crafters, well Ive been caught out this morning I made sure that the Challenge Post was written up but totally forgot to write up my own blog, what a daft person, Ive been worrying all night about the inlinz thing and it worked perfectly this morning and I went to look on my own blog and my own post was missing I cant believe I forgot to write it up and schedule it as I normally do. Anyway it wont do to carry on I must write up my post so here we go, this week over on The Paper Shelter its all about "Wrapping Up" originally when I picked this theme it was supposed to be about wrapping up against the cold but a lot of the team saw it as something else and have gone with it so I will leave the interpretation up to you.
Anyway as always our very generous sponsors are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30.
And this comes with the usual stipulation that you must have used one of their products on your card and this could be a image, paper or printable and even if you dont they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice if you are chosen by random org, but I do urge you to pay a visit to their website The Paper Shelter and see for yourself what brilliant value they are especially against the pound.
And now for my own card
For my image I used "The Beautiful Skier" and you will find it here, and I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her then I cut her out completely. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was placed onto a diecut snowflake.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of white pearlescent card and on top of this I have used one of the Bearlymine digi papers this a snowflake design on a blue background. Then I used more of the pearlescent card and die cut two landscape backgrounds and then placed them at the back of the card towards the top, then I placed my cut out image on the left handside and then I cut the ski's and poles (not sure of the official name for them never having skied) and placed the two ski's against the left handside and the poles are stuck in the snow with the sentiment towards the right handside. To finish of I have punched out a snowflake and placed it in the ski.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "All Wrapped Up" Challenge.

Well this fortnight over on Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot we are having another Sporty week at least for me it is, its "Lets get Sporty" theme and I thought as I had already done a football one for the last challenge Id have a change hope you approve.
This fortnights Challenge is being sponsored by That Craft Place
and they are offering a fabulous prize of :-
and here is what they say about themselves :-
Welcome to That Craft Place
And now I want to show you my card:-
I used this surfer boy from Magnolia and stamped him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I cut him out with a rectangle die from Nestabilities and a larger one for the mount with some blue card. The sentiment is from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the papers I have used are from Echo Parks "Paradise Beach" paper pad, the first a sea and foam paper and the second full of surf boards and shell and I have cut a strip and used my border punch on it, on top of this is a red paper thats been mounted on another piece of blue card.
The mounted image was then placed on top towards the left with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. I then used some of the left over card and two Marianne shell dies to create the shells down the left hand side, I also put some yellow stickles on them to give the look of sand.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will take part in this "Lets be Sporty" Challenge.

A Card for several Challenges
Anyway Ive printed this little one onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him/her and then used my Nestabilitie Label Die No.1 to cut it out, then used the fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been stamped then mounted onto blue card, as you can see its slipped to a jaunty angle but it doesnt look to bad so Im going to leave it.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the papers I have used are from Sweetshoppe Digi Downloads "A Year of Firsts" and I have used three papers for this card, the first is a white background with animals on, the second is a yellow paper and I have used a train border punch along the edge, the third is a blue base with a marble pattern on it.
I then cut a banner for the top with a Marianne die, and the mounted image was then placed in the center with the sentiment at the bottom on the right.

Challenge #65 - Bearlymine Designs - "Anything Goes"
Good Morning Crafters, not long to go to the big day now and I hope that your preparations are well in hand, and of course we crafters are still making Christmas cards and Ive decided if I have any left they will go away for next year. Todays Challenge here at The Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot is "Anything Goes" and we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter and they are generously,
And here is my card.
I decided to use this gorgeous image "Cookies for Santa" you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card then using my copic pens I have coloured her, then used a Christmas Tree Nestabilitie die to cut her out, I then used the die to draw around to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and I have printed it onto white card then mounted it onto blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and the papers I have used are Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Pastel Christmas" digi papers and you will find them here, and I have used for my first paper a blue background with white snowflakes on, the second is a blue background with sentiment on I cut this into a square and used Martha Stewart Border and Corner punches on it, then placed it in the center of the first mount. I then wrapped a piece of webbing around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount. For the diecuts I used pearlescent card and several Marianne Christmas tree and fern dies and cut out several different sizes and placed them in the left and top right corners, I then placed my mounted image in the center with the sentiment at the bottom on the right.
I do hope that now youve seen my card you will go and visit The Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Anything Goes" Challenge.

Challenge #63 - Bearlymine Designs - "Blue and Silver"
Good Morning All, well the rain has stopped at the moment but for how long Ive no idea, its been so wet here in my neck of the woods and we've had lots of floods plus loads of trees and fences down, its a right mess where ever you go around the Forest, but I'm going to try and bring a bit of sunshine into your lives as for this Challenge this week we want yet another Christmas one its a "Blue and Silver" theme for your cards.
But first before I go any further I want to introduce you to a new Design Team member we've had join us and that is Chanelle and I do hope that you will go and visit her blog and leave her some love and welcome her to the Team. And now to let you know who's sponsoring us this week and that is Marianne Dies, and at the moment Im not sure what their prize is but Im sure we shall know by the time this Challenge goes live.
And now without any further ado, here is the card I created for this Challenge.
I chose this gorgeous "Don and Daisy" image and stamped onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, then used a oval die to cut her out, I used some blue ink just to distress the edges, and then used a Decorative Oval from Marianne for the mount, and the sentiment is a Britannia die and I used more of the same silver mirri card for this.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of silver card and the papers I used are from Donna's "Pastel Christmas" digi papers set, and you will find them here. The first one Ive used is a blue background with snowflakes on, and then on top I used another pattern and a Decorative Square Marianne die to cut out a large doily which I have placed in the middle of the base card, then wrapped a organza ribbon around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then placed my mounted image in the center and the sentiment across the right hand bottom corner, and to finish of I have used the Nellie Poinsetta Punches to create the flowers in the top left hand corner, I then moulded them into shape and stuck them down with some silicone glue.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the Bearlymine Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Blue and Silver" Challenge.

Cards for Men Challenge #11 - "Congratulations" and DT Call
Good Morning All, I hope youve had a good weekend, I have, Ive been in charge of taking the dog for a walk while hubby has been volunteering, hes does work with the local restoration Steam Railway and he does love it so I suppose I ought accept it, though at times it does rather take over our weekends.
Anyway back to this fortnights challenge over on Cards for Men and for this one we are being sponsered by Meljens, and we want to see the word "Congratulations" on your card somewhere.
And they are offering a prize of 4 digi images of your own choice, and here is what Melissa says about her company.
And we were lucky enough to be given several images to play with and I decided as I have two friends who are expecting this year I would throw caution to the wind and make a new baby boy card just in case one of them did have a boy.
And of course its Mr.Stork delivering his little buddle, Ive printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I cut him out with my rotatrim, the mount was done in the same way. The sentiment was created on my computer and printed and mounted in the same way as my image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and Ive used just one paper from one of my New Baby paper Pads. The pram diecut is one of the Marieanne dies and has been placed in the bottom left hand corner, afterwards I mounted my image towards the right with the sentiment below.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the Cards for Men Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you also will want to create a "Congratulations" card for a special occassion.

Cards for Men - Challenge 7 - "The Great Outdoors"
Well as I write up this post I would say it would be lovely to be outside as the sun is out and its quite warm, hubby has gone of to Norchard (near Lydney) to play trains, they have a steam railway system there and he loves being involved and volunteers every Saturday to it. Anyway back to this fortnights Challenge and this one is for "The Great Outdoors" and we are being sponsered by Karens Doodles this time,
And they are offering 3 digi images as a prize, and this is what they say about themselves:-
And we were lucky enough to have several gorgeous images to play with, and this is the one I chose to use, its called "Man in a Hammock".
He reminds me so much of my laid back brother-in-law, its the sort of thing he would be doing in the great outdoors rather than the grass mowing. Anyway I printed the image onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, then used Nesbilitie Labels Die No.8 to cut it out then drew around the die to create the mount for it, The sentiment was one I created on my computer and printed it out and mount it in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is a green one and the papers I have used are from the Nitwits "At the Park" digi downloads, the first one is a blue sky with clouds on, the second is
green grass paper and the third a stripe. On top of this is the mounted image in centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, I then used some of the left over green card and used the grass Marianne die and stuck it along the bottom of the second mount.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the fabulous cards the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and I do hope it will encourage you to take part in this "Great Outdoors" Challenge.

Cuddly Buddly's Challenge 19 - "A Receipe" 3 Flowers, 2 Buttons and 1 Ribbon
Good Morning Everyone, I cannot believe that I have now been with the Cuddly Buddly team for 12 weeks and this is my 6th Challenge Card for them, what a lovely person Kim is thank you so much for choosing me for the Cuddly Team I do so enjoy being part of it. Anyway todays challenge is "A Receipe" and we want you to use 3 Flowers, 2 Buttons and 1 Ribbon on your card, and Im sure that wont be a difficult task as most of us use these on all our cards. This time I am using the gorgeous Kim Sponaugle's "Picture Kitchen Studio" images and papers and if you would like to visit Kim's Cuddly Buddly Webshop you will be able to see the whole range of stunning images and papers she has created, heres the link for you, I would also like to let you know that not only does Kim sell digi products but also anything a crafter could desire and she also has a lot of freebies to give away, please do go and visit her shop and see for yourself.
And here is my card for this weeks Challenge.
For my card I have used the "Cupcake Fairy" and you will find it here I have printed her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.22 to cut her out then used the die itself to draw around to create the mount for her. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was just stamped onto white card ready for me to mould around the cupcake die cut.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, on top of this is my first paper of three that I have used these are again "Picture Kitchen Studio's Multi Fairy Fun"digi papers and you will find there here, I used a white background paper with pink swirls on for the first one, then on top is a large spotted one on which I have used a cupcake border punch from Martha Stewart on the edge, and the third paper a small spotted one and Ive done the same to that edge to, these were layered up on top of one another. Then on top of these I have used a piece of the same pink card as the mount to run through my cuttlebug with a cupcake embossing folder, this was then stuck down on top of the two other papers.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle and I then cut out from a bit more pink card a cupcake case and for the top I used a piece of white pearlescent card, and of course for the candle a smaller piece of the pink again. I then moulded the sentiment around the case and used some stickles on the topping to create hundreds and thousands. To finish off I used a lace ribbon flower with beads in for my ribbon embellishment in the top left hand corner, and with a couple of cupcake buttons I finished of the card in the two opposite corners.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Cuddly Buddly Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of a extremely talented team have created to inspire you hopefully to take part in this weeks Challenge.

A Card for the LOV Challenge "A Sketch by Bev"
Good Afternoon All, sorry Ive not been around much this week but have been rather busy making samples for Sarah Hallams new Cuddle Upz Cd thats due to be previewed on Create and Craft on Monday 7th November at 10am, you will see some of those samples on my No.2 blog if your interested, anyway I hope you will watching and supporting her on the day. Anyway I decided to try and make a card to post and made this card for this weeks Lili of the Valley's Sketch by Bev, and Ive used this sweet image for my card and coloured it with my copic and tria pens then used a circle Nestabilitie Die to cut it out, I then used a butterfly circle for the mount out of blue pearlescent card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and one of three papers from "Nitwits Cooking Goodies" digi paper set, a plain white paper with lots of spots and bubbles on it, the second is a pink background with lots of sentiments on it, and the third paper is a blue background with hearts on it in several coloures.
I then mounted the card as the sketch shows, and then around the middle I have wrapped a white ribbon with cookies and teacups and teapots on in several colours. Then positioned my mounted image in the centre, with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive used some of the left over paper to create some paper flowers that have been arranged in the top right hand corner and stuck to the card with silicone glue and punched out rose leaves.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl Challenges - "A Sketch"
Good Afternoon Everyone, sorry Ive not been posting for a few days but weve had quite a stressful week and I really didnt feel upto rushing around trying to get a card done to post. This card I had intended putting some stitching on for the Saturated Canary Challenge as well but I spent 4 hours yesterday taking up trousers and skirts that I really couldnt be bothered to get the sewing machine out again today. Anyway I stamped one of the gorgeous Sassy Stamps onto white card then used my copics to colour her, afterwards I used my rotatrim to cut her out and create and mount for her. The sentiment is one from my stash and I have treated it in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green pearlescent card then I have used two papers that I have manipulated into a green colour from one of my craft Cds in my stash, the first one is a pale green background with hearts on, and the second for the sketch is a check pattern with a difference I though it would be a change from the gingham that most of the girls have used.
I then wrapped some lace and ribbon around the middle of the card and attached it to the back of the first mount and then positioned my mounted image in the centre, with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have used one of the rolled rose dies on some left over paper to create the flowers that were then stuck in the top left hand corner on some punched out rose leaves.
If youd like to know what all the stress was about you can find out all about it on my No.2 Blog, link on the sidebar.
