Pink Gem Designs - "Autumn" -

Good Morning all you Gemsters, well I have some wonderful news my new Great Grandson arrived safely on the 15th and mum and dad plus big brother Jacob are all giving young Toby the very best of care and love.
And so far there doesnt seem to be much brotherly rivalry between them no doubt that will come as they get older.
Anyway todays Challenge is a "Autumn" one and there are some gorgeous images to play with over on Pink Gem Designs
So do pop over to Janets website to see them and Im sure you will exactly what you are after, I chose this little sweetheart

Full of the joys of Autumn, and here were I live in the Forest of Dean Gloucestershire the trees are just beginning to turn to their Autumn colours and I suspect its doing the same near you. Anyway this little girl is titled "Autumn Bella" and you will find her here.
I have printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used Presscut dies to cut her out and a larger one for the mount. The sentiment was one I found on the internet and I thought it was appropriate for this gorgeous image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of brown card, the papers are from Sweetshoppe Digi Papers and this one is called  "Autumn Harvest" I have used three papers, the first a white background with leaves on, and the second and third a yellow one and another leaf one I have cut in stripes and used a leaf border punch down the edges, this was with a Martha Stewart Leaf Border punch.
These were then layered up as shown in the photo and across the top left hand corner I have laid a piece of wide ribbon and positioned my mounted image in the center with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have created a bow with has been placed in the top left hand corner about the mounted image and three leaf buttons have been stuck down the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to create a card for this "Autumn" Challenge.

Challenge #219 - "A Card with Many Folds" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers well its my turn again to host this weeks Challenge and this time we want to see that you have created a Card with at least 2 folds please. I hope the children all went back to School OK and you are now able to spend a little more time Crafting, Im eagerly looking forward to the arrival of my second great grandson who is due on the 16th, but if hes anything like his brother he could be late deciding to make an appearance, so hopefully by  the next time its my turn to host the Challenge he will have arrived I will keep you informed.
Anyway as always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter, and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

But this is always providing you have used one of their products on your card and that could be either a Image, Backing Paper or Printable and they are such good value against the british pound, you will find lots to choose from here The Paper Shelter website, so do click on the link and browse to your hearts content. But even if you dont use one of their products they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice so you really cannot loose can you?
Anyway here is my attempt of creating a double fold Card.

I have used "Japanese Cute Doll" for my main image, and I have to confess to have used a pre-coloured image for my card and you will find her here, she comes as a digi as well as a pre-coloured image in jpg and png so you can choose which you prefer, I have also used the separate backing paper for the other two folds.
I took a A4 card and folded it into a three fold card then I used a Marianne Butterfly border die to create three mounts for the folds, on top of these I have placed two of the backing papers for the inside and the image on for the front. I then used a piece of double sided adhesive paper and put gilding flakes on it and cut them in strips to mount behind the butterfly borders as shown in the photo.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "A Card with Many Folds" Challenge.

ABC Challenges - "R is for Receipe"

Good Morning Crafters well over on the ABC Challenges we have reached the letter "R is for Receipe" and for this we will want you to use the table below to create your card

You must use one of the lines either horizontal or vertical and can you please let us know which one you are using when you post it on your blog.
We are being sponsored this time by the lovely

And as I have several images in my stash I decided to use this cutie

And the line I have used is the bottom line "Rhinestone/Pearls, Purple and Lace" and the image is "Looking Gorgeous" and you will find her here. I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a Tonic Oval die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount out of purple card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of purple card and the backing paper I have used is from The Paper Shelters "Watercolour Dreams" as you can see its a very pretty purple, green and white background. I then wrapped a strip of lace down the card with a string of pearls stuck in the middle of it.
I then placed my mounted image towards the right with a sentiment which has been stamped and cut out with a fancy die and placed in the bottom right hand corner. And to finish of I have used pearls in the top two corners and a bottom left hand corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "R is for Receipe" Challenge.

15 years Wedding Anniversary

I cannot believe thats its 15 years since my hubby Ian and I were married, the time has flown and as he said this morning its been wonderful and I agree with him. This is our second marriage and its been a lot more loving and we dont often disagree with each other, and we never go to bed on a disagreement so I think this helps to keep if flowing so well.
So Happy Anniversary Sweetheart for making me so happy and for giving me the love and togetherness that I had missed for such along time, I had been on my own for over 22 years so its lovely to have a second chance of happiness.

Challenge #217 - Embossing of any Kind" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well Im sure most of the children have gone back to School today or possibly next week and hopefully it wont be long before you will be able to spend a bit more time crafting without them wanting to join in. This weeks them over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot  is "Embossing of any Kind" and this means either wet embossing with the powders and heat gun, or using the folders to run through your machines, so it couldnt be any easier could it?
As always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

And as always this comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, but even if you havent used you will still be eligible for 3 digi images of your own choice, so you really cannot loose can you. You will find lots of Images, Papers and Printables on their website here "The Paper Shelter" and the money exchange is extremely good so you will find they very reasonable to buy, I hope you enjoy your browse on their website.
For my Image for this challenge I have used this sweet girl

This is called "Cool Student" and as a lot of the older children dont go onto College for another couple of weeks I thought it was appropriate for my older grandchildren who are due to start then. You will find her here, and I printed her as always onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, I then cut her out using a Nestabilitie Labels die and used a fancy one for the mount.
The sentiment was stamped and mounted of a tag die using the same backing card I used for the image. The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of orange card, the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. On top of this I used some of the orange card and ran it through a embossing folder and used a corner chopper to finish of the edges, this was then placed on top of the first mount and the image placed in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right.
I then created a flower with a Heartfelt die and stamp using a orange inkpad to distress it, this was then layered up and mounted in the top right hand corner, to finish of I used six orange pearls down the left hand side in the top and bottom corners.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Embossing of any Kind" Challenge.

This is from one of the "Work and Play" Cds and is called "Doctor" and I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her,  I then cut her out with a rectangle die from Nestabilities and a fancy one for the mount out of blue card.

A Christmas Card created with the new Heartfelt Stamps and Dies

Good Morning Crafters, I absolutely adore Heartfelt Dies and Stamps and this months release was the new Poinsettia design, and I have used the poinsettia stamp on parchment paper and then used white embossing powder to emboss them, afterwards I cut them out with the dies that come with the set. To colour them I used the Viva 3d paint on the back of the petals and leaves.
The main card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of red card and a second one out of green, both these were embossed using a Sue Wilson holly embossing folders. I then layered them up and with one of the card toppers from the Poinsettia paper pad I layered this on top of both the layers.
I used some of the layered up poinsettia petals to create the four flowers you can see, and I placed them around the two edges at the bottom and one in the top right hand corner. The final thing was the sentiment that also came in the paper pad, this was layered up again on red and green card and placed in the top right hand corner. I also used red PVA glue to create the red spots around the edge, but Im afraid the glue is a bit lumpy and it was difficult to get a perfect dot with the bottle.

ABC Challenge - "N is for Number"

Good Morning Crafters, well you wont be surprised that we have already reached the letter N at ABC Challenge Blogspot and this time the theme is "N is for Number" and we are lucky enough to be sponsored by ArtbyMiran.

And for my card I decided to use this 1920s Flapper Girl

and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens and cut her out with a large Nestabilitie rectangle die and a larger one for the mount out of blue card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of blue card and the papers I have used are from the Art Deco Foil Papers and Card, I have used three of them and layered them up as you see on my card.
I have used a pen to create the split stitching around the image and the final flourish are the 12 blue flat backed pearls you can see in all four corners and the larger flower on on her hair band.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration.
