Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, a lot of you are probably aware a couple of weeks ago the company went through a very bad patch and we are hoping that now things will start to improve but we are now disassociating with Pedro because of this and hopefully it will not be long before Veronica is starting afresh with a new Artist.

And the theme this time is all about "Music and Dance" and there are some beautiful images under this heading and I chose this little lady for my card

and she is called "On Air" it reminds me so much of the 1940s singers and my hubby loves the mircophone, he loves anything to do with radio, anyway you will find her here. I printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I cut her out with my Nestabilite Die and a fancy one for the mount out of beige card. The sentiment is from my stash and it was mounted on to a die cut from the same design set.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and again the first mount is out of beige card and I used the backing paper from the image "On Air" and you will find it here. I then placed a circular doily and on top I placed my mounted image and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
To finish of I have used several music instruments and placed them down the right hand side and beige pearls down the left hand side.

ABC Challenges - "Q is for Quick" - All Dressed Up

Good Morning again Crafters as this is my second post today (which is unusual for me) I hope you will bear through and see my card and all the chatter I leave. This fortnights Challenge over on ABC Challenge Blogspot is "Q is for Quick" and we are being sponsored this time by "All Dressed Up"

And here is the card I created for it

This image is called "For You" and you will find it here, I printed her onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens and cut it out with my Nestabilitie Die and then used a fancy one for the mount in pink card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card, the papers are also from All Dressed Up and this set is called "Pink (Girl) Papers" and you will find them here. As the theme asks for a quick card I have used just one of them a very pretty pink flowered paper and then layed my mounted image in the middle, and the "For You" sentiment was cut using a Die I believe probably Justrite and I cut it out of pink and white and layered them on top of each other to shadow it and make a little more pronounced.
Now that you have seen my Card I do hope you will pay a visit to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for the "Q is for Quick" Challenge I hope you to will want to take part in this Challenge and look forward to seeing yours.

Pink Gem #177 Challenge - "Halloween"

Good Morning Gemsters well this fortnights Challenge is being hosted by Me and I chose the theme of Halloween as the Pinks next one wont be till November and I adore all the Halloween images that Janet designs and I just couldnt ignore it for my choice so I do hope you like it to.
As I have already said that Janet is our sponsor and our designer and owner of

And here is the Card I created with my choice of image I do hope you like the result

This little lady is "Chloe with Cauldron" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a Nestabilitie die to cut her out and then a fancy one out of orange card. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of orange card and the papers are also from Pink Gem Designs and is called "Batty Papers" and you will them here. I have used four papers and layered them up as show and on the edges of three of them I have used Halloween border punches from Martha Stewart, two of them are the tombstone one and the other a spider web.
I have just discovered after loading this photo up that the spider has escaped and has landed on the edge of my mounted image, I do hope Chloe isn't spooked by it, Im not sure I would want it to suddenly appear like that on me, it is rather a large one.
To finish of I used a Memory Box die for spider web and spider in the top left hand corner and a pumkin punch to create the die cuts also on the right handside.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Halloween" Challenge.

Here is the card I created

This gorgeous image is "Pineapple" and you will find her here, I have printed her onto white card and then coloured her with my copic pens, I then used my Spellbinders No.1 Labels die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount, I have also used the same die set for the sentiment.
The base card is a 7"x 7" three folded card the larger one to the front and the smaller one folded  under this larger one, not easy to see in the photo but you just get a glimpse of it towards the right of the photo.
I have used "Poolside Splash" papers from Sweetshoppe Designs and I used two of the papers from the design set. On the larger fold I have used a piece of blue card for the first mount and then on top of this is the first paper a water design, then used a strip of my second paper which has lots of beach items and down the two sides I have used a border punch from EK success punches, then layered this on top of the first one. For the smaller fold I have used the same papers but cut them down to fit the size of the fold and also layered them up on top of the piece of blue card as well.
I then placed my mounted image over the edge of the front fold and the sentiment in the bottom left hand corner. To finish of I have used several buttons down the right hand side on the smaller fold, and another in the top left hand corner.
I hope I have explained my method OK though it might sound a little mixed up, I do apologise for that. Anyway before I show you my Card I would like to tell you who our sponsors are and they are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter

and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website here, and if you have used one of their gorgeous images you will be entitled to the whole amount but even if you havent you will still receive 3 digi images of your own choice. But please if you are going to enter more than once,  please remember that you are able to take part 3 times but one of those must carry one of our images please.
And now I want to show you the card I created I hope you like the result.

This little fairy is called "Bookworm Fairy" and you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used one of my Nestabilitie Dies to cut her out and a fancy one one for the mount. I used glitter on her wings and the sentiment is from my stash and has been stamped and mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is blue card and the papers are from Sweetshoppe Digi Papers and this set is called "Better Gnome and Garden" and I have used three papers from papers and the embossed item is the white one on the left and I used a Sue Wilson fan design and I have used a piece out of white card and mounted it onto blue card.
I then placed my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have used several pearls in the top right and bottom left corners.
Now that Ive seen my Card I do hope that you will take a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team and I do hope that it will inspire you to take part in this "Embossing of any Kind" Challenge.
