Cards for Men - Challenge 16 - "Clean and Simple"

Good Morning Everyone, this card is being scheduled due to the fact that my grandsons have just left to spend a week with their other grandparents and Im trying to get my craft room back to normal again, theyve been sleeping in the room I use, which actually is our second bedroom. Anyway hopefully I will be back commenting within a day or two so I hope you will be a little patient with me. Todays Challenge for Cards for Men, is themed "Clean and Simple" and we are being sponsered by:-

They have kindly offered as a prize a Voucher for £10 to spend in their webshop and this is what they say about themselves:-

And here is my card for this fortnights Challenge:-
I have used a Stampin Up image for my card and stamped it onto white card before colouring it with my copic and tria pens afterwards Ive used Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut it out and then used the die again to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one of the Magnolia ones and felt it went well with the image, this was mounted on a piece of the same create card as the mount and first mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with one mount of cream pearlescent card that Ive put through my Grand Calibur with a swirl embossing sheet, then on top I have positioned my image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right handside. As the Challenge is Clean and Simple I felt this was exactly the right sort of card to create.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pop over to the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for you and Im sure it will inspire you to take part in this our 16th Challenge "Clean and Simple".

Cards for Men - Challenge 6 "A Sketch by Mandy"

Good Morning All, its amazing that already 12 weeks have slipped by this year, and we are now onto our 6th Challenge which is a fabulous sketch by my fellow Team member Mandy of Craftyfoxcards Blogspot,
The sponser this time is Letreset you just couldnt ask for anything more exciting,
and the fabulous prize they are offering the winner is a set of 12 promarkers,

and here is what they say about themselves:-

ProMarkers are made by Letraset and are a twin tipped, dye based alcohol marker offering a high quality product at a great price. Avilable in 148 colours, they give incredible tonal range and can be applied to a diverse range of materials, not just paper and card. ProMarkers produce vivid, bright colours right through to the subtlest pastel shades - the translucent inks can also be overlaid and blended, even further extending the range of shades and hues on offer. ProMarker's quality nibs and inks provide flawless colour lay down with consistent coverage and no unsightly streaking.

And here is my card for this Challenge:-

The image I have used for this card is by Stampin Up and the set is called "Summer by the Sea" unfortunately the set is now discontinued and I had a bit of job getting hold of a set of stamps, this actual image was given to me by a really lovely follower of mine, (she knows who she is) and I just couldnt use it without getting hold of the actual stamps to be able to use this image again. Ive stamped it onto white card and used my promarkers to colour it, after which I cut it out with my rotatrim and mounted it onto dark blue card. The sentiment is one of the Penny Black stamps and felt it went well with the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark blue card, and one of two papers from the Nitwits Downloads and is a lovely blue paper with a water and wave pattern on, the two corner pieces are a beige paper with darker spots on, these were also mounted on the dark blue card. The card was created as the sketch shows, and to finish of Ive used three buttons top and bottom in the mounted corners.
Now that youve seen my card do please pop over to our Challenge blog and see what the rest of my fellow team members have been upto, and no doubt it will give you inspiration to take part in this Challenge.
Just before I go I want to offer you the chance to become one of our Design Team, if you are interested you will find all the details on the Challenge Blog.

An Anniversary Card

Good Evening All, Im so sorry to be so late today I have been busy again, and have actually managed to make two cards but can only show you one as the other is for a future DT Challenge, thats the problem when you have three challenges to keep up with you have to do your DT work in advance and try to be ready for them to be posted when the time is right, but Im getting there and I think Ive now managed to be a few weeks ahead or at least I hope so.
Anyway todays card has been created for a very dear couple, friends of mine and I dont think they will be peeking but you never know so I wont be giving any names in case they do. The image is one that was given to me, and I think it might be one of the Stampendous ones, (Ive just discovered they are by Stampin Up but have been retired), I love the dreamy look of the pair and thought it was ideal for a Anniversary card I hope you think so to. Anyway Ive coloured it with my copic pens and cut it out with my Nestabilitie Label Die No.17 and then drew around the die and cut it out by hand. The sentiment is one from my stash, one of the clear stamps and mounted on a piece of card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount in yellow pearlescent card and one of three papers from the Papermania "Rose Garden" papers the first one is a gorgeous pale green and cream, the second is a pink one and the third green paper and the fourth a cream one with a rose pattern on, the edges are punched with the new Woodware Crafty Edger system and a very pretty heart scallop edge. Ive wrapped a pale lemon satin ribbon around the edge on the right hand side.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle and the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive created a rose spray and some punched out rose leaves arranged in the top left hand corner and stuck on with some silicone glue. I did pop some stickles on the petals.
