Good Afternoon, well today has been beautiful I was wondering if it might happen as we had a fabulous lightening storm last night and I watched it through the living room window for quite awhile. Anyway the poor dog had a short walk this afternoon and found it just to much for her little feet so we cut it short and came home again so I could get this card finished.
I started it a week ago and didnt get very far as I had other things to sort out and as you can see I have put those behind and got on to finishing it, its one of the gorgeous Aurora Wings images and you will find her here, please do go and visit the website as she is such a talented lady and really does create beautiful images so you can play with them.
I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a Tonic die to cut her out and a scalloped one for the mount, the leaf border is yet another of the Tonic dies and I have placed it on top of the mounted image.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of lilac card and the paper is one from Nitwits and I have then placed on top and used a piece of the same lilac card and ran it through my ebosser with a butterfly embossing folder. And of course this is my favourite colour choice so I love to use it on my cards.
On top I have placed a strip of web ribbon and another of Satin and then tucked behind the first mount. I then stuck my image in the middle and the last flourish is the butterfly from Tattered Lace which I folded and stuck in the top left hand corner.

Good Morning Crafters, well Im actually on my second DT Card for Pink Gem Challenge Blog, and Im thoroughly enjoying playing with Janets beautiful images and she also has some fabulous papers as well so lots to choose from and so why not pay the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself.

The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is a piece of blue card and the papers I have used this time are from Nitwits "Spring Breeze" digi set, I have used three papers the first a yellow one with flowers on and the second a sentiment one in blue and white and the third another white background with flowers on to.
I have mounted them as shown about and wrapped a piece of lace around the left side and then placed my mounted my image at a jaunty angle on top, and I created a spray of daffodils and tulips and wrapped a bow around the stems and a butterfly on top of the bow. I also placed my sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.

My first card with Aurora Wings Stamps
I found a new Image creator on Facebook its Mitzi Sato-Wuiff of Aurora Wings Stamps and believe me when I tell you they are stunning, I was obviously pulled into buying some and this one was the one I chose to use first, its mainly because my dear mum was very fond of Pansy's and the colour lilac and this was my way of thinking of her. I have printed this young lady "Girl with Pansies" onto white card then used my and coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used my Nestabilitie Labels No.8 to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of lilac card and the papers are from "Promises" from Nitwits, isnt it gorgeous and I felt it was just so right for this image. I have wrapped a lilac ribbon around the centre and I created a bow with some ribbon as well. The mounted image was then placed in the centre, with a sentiment below on a banner die cut.

Challenge #135 - "Halloween" - The Paper Shelter
Good Morning Everyone, well its only a day away from Halloween and we decided we would again have this as this weeks theme so I do hope that you are not all Halloweened out just yet and to add to it I have actually created two cards for you to see. I stupidly made one then made another later thinking that I had not done so, well now you will decide which one you like the best or at least enjoy them both.
As always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30.
But as always we expect you to use on of their products on your card, but even if you dont you will still be eligable to 3 digi images of your own choice, but if your quick you can still get hold of one of their Halloween images at a reduced prize as they have a sale on at the moment and you will find them here, so do go and visit their website and see for yourself what stunning images they have on offer and treat yourself while you can at a brilliant price.
And now to show you what I have been upto, as I said I have two cards to show you, I do hope you like them.
For the papers I used for the top card "Happy Holigans" from Nitwits and I also used Nestabilitie Pumpkin Die for the mounts and Die-namics Pumpkin dies and stamps for the die cuts, I also used a Martha Stewart pumpkin border punch on one of the papers. I also used some Halloween charms around the mount.

For the second Card I have used Sweetshoppe papers I cant remember which ones as they were some that I have left in my stash which I thought went well with my image. I have used Nestabilitie dies to cut her out and mount her, a Memory Box Spider corner and Spider. I have also used some more Halloween charms to add around the image. The sentiment is one from my stash, I should also say that around the edges I have distressed it with the Tim Holtz distressing tool.
I do hope that now youve seen my cards that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and that you will want to take part in this "Halloween" Challenge.

I love the images we were given to play with and for my card I decided to us this one,
Isnt he cute hes called "Bunny Boy" and I have printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die No.17 to cut him out then drew around the die to create the mount for him. The sentiment is one I created on my computer then printed it out.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card the papers I have used are from Nitwits "Carrots too" paper set, the first one is a blue spot one, then on top is a green check and the third is a plaid across the middle, I did use the Martha Stewart Rabbit border punch along both sides and this was placed under the second mount.
The mounted image was then placed towards the top in the center and then the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, to finish of I have used a rabbit button and three Easter egg buttons along the bottom.
Now that you've seen my Card I do hope that you will go and visit the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have for your inspiration.

Its "Astronaut Bear" and I have printed him onto white card and then used my copic pens to colour him, after cutting him out with my rotatrim I used a blue inkpad around the edges to create the sky. Ive mounted him onto red card. The sentiment was created in My Craft Studio and then cut out with a circle die, and used a larger one on some red card for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, the papers I have used are Nitwits Downloads "Spaced Out", the first a dark one with stars, rockets and planets on, the second is a red sentiment one and the third is a pale blue background with a circle pattern on it.

A Card for Magnolia Challenges
Good Afternoon All, well the sun is out and theres a lovely breeze here in Gloucestershire, mind you its still hot and our dog is feeling it just as much. Anyway todays card has been made for this weeks Magnolia "In the Country" Challenge and any other one I can find. Ive used this sweet Tilda image carrying a bunch of flowers, not sure what they are meant to be, probably hellibores but I wouldnt depend on that. Ive coloured it with my copics then cut it out with my square Nestabilitie Die, then used with some lilac card a Heart Square from Spellbinders. The sentiment is one from my stash and has also been mounted on some lilac card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card, but Ive also cut a 8" square then used the larger Martha Stewart Border and Corner punches to create a mount for the smaller one, the papers I have used are from Nitwits "Oh the Possibilities" digi paper set. Its all shades of pink and lilac and Ive used several papers, the main one under the mount is one with lilac punches on and the rest I used on the rolled flower in the top left hand corner.
Ive used a large piece of Cobweb ribbon around the card, then on top I have placed a lavender satin ribbon which was attached to the back of the first mount, I then cut a Cheery Lynn doily and tucked it under the ribbon in the bottom left hand corner. The mounted image was then positioned to the right and the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. Ive also cut a flower with a Memory Box die and this was stuck in the bottom left hand corner. To finish of Ive used several of the left over papers to create the rolled flower in the top left corner and this was stuck to the card with some punched out leaves on some silicone glue.

A Card for the Saturated "Bring on the Bling" Challenge
Good Afternoon All, well yes Ive actually managed to make a card today though how Ive managed I dont know as we are of to Bristol presently to search for my outfit for my grandsons wedding in a months time, and Im also meeting up with my fellow blogger "Elma" from Germany, shes over here for a holiday and weve arranged to meet at the Hilton in Bristol, so if this post is short I hope you will forgive me.
Ive used this sweet image "Double Take" from Saturated Canary, and printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, because I made her bigger than the dies Ive had to use my rotatrim to cut her out then mounted her onto a piece of pink card. The sentiment is one of stash ones that Ive mounted in the same way as my image.
The base card as always is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is pink card, the papers I have used are from Nitwits, not sure of their name at the moment as Im in bit of a rush, but will have a look later.
I mounted the base layer with three mounts and then placed my image towards the left and the sentiment at the bottom on the right, but before doing this I wrapped a piece of lace around the middle and attached it to the back.
To finish of I have used a creative expressions pearl swirl down the right hand side and created a floral spray with five roses and glittered them up with some stickles.

A Card for Mo's Digital Challenge - "Tickle my Funny Bone"
Good Evening Everyone, I thought I would have a go at this weeks Mo's "Tickle my Funny Bone" challenge, as you can see this cheeky little one has found a bar of chocolate to eat, and I felt it was just right for this Challenge. Ive printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used the Nestabilitie Square Die to cut it out and created a mount for it out of blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is a yellow card with one of three papers from the "Nitwits" Goodie Gumdrops digi paper set, this first one is a yellow background with lots of lollipops and sweets on, the second has gum drops on a white background and the third yet more sweets on a blue background.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with a sentiment that I created on my computer and printed it of and mounted it in the same way as the image. To finish of I have used four letter buttons in our granddaughers name and stuck them down the right hand side of the card.

A Card for Sunday's with Santa - "Family"
Good Afternoon All, I do hope youve all had a good week and looking forward to this weekend, unfortunately the weather doesnt look as if its going to be particularly nice, but you can always live in hope. We are still having to take our dog to the vets every couple of days, as on Wednesday we found her limping and it turned out her leg had become swollen, so now she sports not only a collar but also a bandage boot on her left back leg, weve also been told it will probably be another week before she will be able to have the stitches out, which makes it almost 3 weeks since she had her operation, not what we were expecting.
Anyway back to the card Ive posted today, this is for this weeks Sunday's with Santa on Faceboon Challenge and this week they want a "Family" one, and I decided this sweet LOV image was quite appropriate for it, Ive stamped it onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens, then used Nestabilitie die labels No.17 to cut it out and then drew around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is one of the Polka Doodles Xmas stamps that I got as a freebie with one of my craft magazines.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, and the papers I have used are Nitwits "Frost n Flakes" digi paper set, the first paper is a snowflake design and I then used a sentiment paper and my large Memory Box Snowflake die and punched out two of them and stuck them to the first mount, then used a corner die from the same company and these were stuck in the two opposite corners. I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side.

Cards for Men - Challenge 7 - "The Great Outdoors"
Well as I write up this post I would say it would be lovely to be outside as the sun is out and its quite warm, hubby has gone of to Norchard (near Lydney) to play trains, they have a steam railway system there and he loves being involved and volunteers every Saturday to it. Anyway back to this fortnights Challenge and this one is for "The Great Outdoors" and we are being sponsered by Karens Doodles this time,
And they are offering 3 digi images as a prize, and this is what they say about themselves:-
And we were lucky enough to have several gorgeous images to play with, and this is the one I chose to use, its called "Man in a Hammock".
He reminds me so much of my laid back brother-in-law, its the sort of thing he would be doing in the great outdoors rather than the grass mowing. Anyway I printed the image onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, then used Nesbilitie Labels Die No.8 to cut it out then drew around the die to create the mount for it, The sentiment was one I created on my computer and printed it out and mount it in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is a green one and the papers I have used are from the Nitwits "At the Park" digi downloads, the first one is a blue sky with clouds on, the second is
green grass paper and the third a stripe. On top of this is the mounted image in centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, I then used some of the left over green card and used the grass Marianne die and stuck it along the bottom of the second mount.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the fabulous cards the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and I do hope it will encourage you to take part in this "Great Outdoors" Challenge.

A second card for Sugary Sunday on Facebook
Good Morning Everyone, well the sun is out and it looks as if its going to be a lovely day, lets hope so. We had a fabulous time at the NEC yesterday and yes I did spend lots of money but hubby seemed ok with that thankfully, I also got to meet up with the lovely Marianne (Fisher), Lisa (Baker) and Lynsey (Warren), we had a right old chat and even had a couple of photos taken so dont be surprised if you see it out there in blogland. Anyway at the begining of the week I actually made two cards for this weeks Sugary Sunday over on Facebook, I posted my first one of my No.2 blog and I thought for a change I would post this second one here on my No.1. As Im going to be quite busy over the next few days creating cards for Sarah Hallam of Peerless Designs (will be posting my sample cards on my No.2 blog in next few days) I felt Id rather neglected you and thought you might like to see a card for a change, hope you like it.
Anyway this is one of the new Pip digi images, and I love this little one with her lamb, Ive printed her onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens then cut it out with the Nestabilitie Die Labels No.4 and then used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount of blue card on top I have layered up with papers from the Nitwits "At the Park" digi paper set, the first is a white background with multi coloured flowers on, the second is a yellow and white stripe and the third is a blue spot one. I then positioned my mounted image towards the left and the sentiment at the bottom on the right, and to finish of Ive used some of the left over papers and a die-namics flower die and stuck it to the top of the right hand corner on top of some punched out leaves. The final flourish I used two of the Epiphany buttons which were cut out of some of the left over paper then positioned down the right hand side.

Cards for Men - Challenge #6 - "Cheeky Chappies"
Good Morning Everyone, hope you had a fabulous weekend and now I want to invite you to take part in this fortnights challenge "Cheeky Chappies" over on Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot. We are being sponsered this time by Buggaboo and they are offering you a prize of 7 digi images of your own choice.
And this is what they say about their company:-
Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug.
And we were lucky to have been given several images to play with and I chose this one.
Isnt he a character I love the look on his face, I printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him and then cut him out with my Nestabilitie Rectangle die and then cut a larger one for the mount out of red card. The sentiment was one I created on my computer and printed it out and mounted it in the same way as the image.
The card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, and the three papers Ive used are from the Nitwit Downloads "Super Stewy" paper set, the papers where cut across the middle and Ive used a piece and then one of my border punches and tucked it behind the check paper. Its a simple design and I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment underneath.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pop across to the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the very talented team have created for your inspiration and I do hope that you will also take part in this "Cheeky Chappie" Challenge.

A Card for this weeks "Sundays with Santa" Challenge
Good Morning Everyone, well after a shaky start the sun has decided to come out and its starting to dry up. We are now nearly back to normal after a busy couple of days with my MILs funeral, and now hopefully we can start the grieving process without all the stress, and its certainly been that since she died two weeks ago. My husbands youngest daughter, granddaughter and step son arrived Thursday evening to spend a night, and this meant a complete turn around of our bedroom and my craftroom, but its all back to normal and I can start to sort myself out.
The funeral was lovely and we had a really nice lady vicar who conducted it, and the hymns were on Cds as we were rather a small congregation, my middle daughter Sarah came with a friend from Towcester so it was a lovely intimate family gathering to say our last goodbyes to her. My husband did have a few tears during the service and his little granddaughter came and gave him a really big hug which of course any granddad would love and enjoy, and of course he did.
But now back to my card, its for this weeks Sundays with Santa Challenge and this weeks its "Never seen Ink" one and as Ive not had a chance to use this Paper Shelter "Winter Princess" image I thought it would be just right. Ive printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic and tria pens, I then cut her out with the Memory box die, and used another for the mount, its a very pretty scroll edge one and felt it just set the image of.
The papers are from Nitwits, its one of the Christmas digi sets, and the first paper is an all over snowflake pattern then on top is a 5"square of dark blue patterned paper that has had the border and corners punched with my Martha Stewart punch set.
I then used one of the Whimsey sentiment stamps for my sentiment and cut it out with a circle Nestabilite die, and a larger one for the mount.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge - "A Sketch"
Good Morning Everyone, the sun is out and its quite mild, so it looks almost like Spring is on its way, but dont bank on it. Missy is asking to go for her walk but so far no-one is taking her seriously so shes getting more anxious that daddy is not going to take her out. Hes just got back from Monmouth after having to return a new saucepan he bought me yesterday as it had a split down one of the edges so obviously it couldnt be used, we were told if youd tried to use it, it would have either exploded or split even further down the side.
Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks Sugar Bowl Challenge, and I have used Rosie for my main image, this was the stamp I won in last weeks Sugary Sunday on Facebook, its one of the weekly Challenges on there that I take part in, and Ive stamped and coloured her with my copic pens, then used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 to cut it out, then used the larger one for the mount. The sentiment is on the tag which if you look closely is tucked behind the image.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, the papers I have used are by Nitwits "One Birdie Lane" digi set I used is so pretty I thought it went well with my image. The card has been made up to the sketch that was to be used, and for the final flourish I have used my brand new Epiphany Button maker (brilliant for making homemade buttons), its like a punch with a facility to turn it into button or embellishments, and I created two buttons with some of the first paper and stuck them down the side on the right hand side.

A Card for the LOV Challenge "A Sketch by Bev"
Good Afternoon All, sorry Ive not been around much this week but have been rather busy making samples for Sarah Hallams new Cuddle Upz Cd thats due to be previewed on Create and Craft on Monday 7th November at 10am, you will see some of those samples on my No.2 blog if your interested, anyway I hope you will watching and supporting her on the day. Anyway I decided to try and make a card to post and made this card for this weeks Lili of the Valley's Sketch by Bev, and Ive used this sweet image for my card and coloured it with my copic and tria pens then used a circle Nestabilitie Die to cut it out, I then used a butterfly circle for the mount out of blue pearlescent card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and one of three papers from "Nitwits Cooking Goodies" digi paper set, a plain white paper with lots of spots and bubbles on it, the second is a pink background with lots of sentiments on it, and the third paper is a blue background with hearts on it in several coloures.
I then mounted the card as the sketch shows, and then around the middle I have wrapped a white ribbon with cookies and teacups and teapots on in several colours. Then positioned my mounted image in the centre, with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive used some of the left over paper to create some paper flowers that have been arranged in the top right hand corner and stuck to the card with silicone glue and punched out rose leaves.

Cards fpr Men - Challenge Twenty - "Sports"
Good Morning All, well another fortnight has flown by and here we are at our Twentieth Challenge and this time we want to see lots of "Sports" images on your cards, and we are being for the first time sponsered by "Peachy Keen Stamps"
And here is what they say about themselves:
And now here is my card for this Challenge.

I have used one of their fabulous stamps titled "Surf Boy" for my card and stamped him onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour him, afterwards I used Labels 11 to cut him out and used the die again to draw around to create the mount our of yellow card. The sentiment is one of the TLC digi stamps and this has been treated in the same way as the stamped him.
The base easel card is a 6"x 6" white card and I have used for the first mounts yellow card and then two papers each from the Nitwits "Summer Breeze" digi paper sets, the first paper is a yellow one, and then on top a blue sentment one which has been cut in a 5" square and then Ive used the Martha Stewart border and corner seashell punch on it. The stamped image was then positioned in the middle of one and the sentiment on the other, I then used some rafia in yellow and blue to wrap around the two main mounts and attached them to the back.
The card was then created into an easel and then along the bottom of both I have stuck some sea shells just to give it a different effect. Now that youve seen my card I sincerely hope that you will go and visit The Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of a very talented team have created for your inspiration and hopefully it will get you to take part in this "Sports" Challenge..

Cards for Men - Challenge 15 - "Use a Key"
Good Morning Everyone, yet again another fortnight has flown by and weve now reached our 15th Challenge and this time we are asking you to use a "Key" somewhere on your card, and we are being sponsered by Prairie Fairy Designs and they have offered you a fabulous prize of 5 digi stamps or your own choice.
And this is what Roberta has to say about her company:-
And here is the card I created with one of her fabulous images, we were lucky enought to be given several images to play with.
As you are probably aware we have a 15 week old Yorkie pup and I thought that this was an ideal image to use for this fortnights challenge, so far weve been lucky enough to not to have her bite our bums, anyway Ive printed it onto white card before colouring it with my copic and tria pens, then used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.8 to cut it out then used the die itself to draw around to create a faux mount for it. The sentiment is one I created on my computer and printed it also onto white card then used a Label die from Spellbinders to cut it out and to create a mount for it.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card with one of two papers from the Nitwit "Sandcastles" digi paper set, this one is a blue background with a wave pattern on, the second I cut into a 5" square and used a shell border and corner punch on it, this was then layered on top of the first mount at a slight angle, and I then used a piece of the same blue card to run through my cuttlebug with a key embossing folder and before layering it onto of these two papers Ive used the same border punch along both edges.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, this was attached to the card with two blue brads, and the last little flourish are the two key charms stuck down the right hand side at the top.
Now youve seen my card I do hope you will be inspired to take part in this fortnights challenge, if youd like to go across to The Cards for Me Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented team have for your delight Im sure it will be the push for you to make a card yourself.

And this is what Roberta has to say about her company:-
Hello! I am Roberta from Prairie Fairy Designs. I am a new digital stamp company featuring artwork not only created by me but also my two kids, ages 9 and 12. They are featured on the site as the Fairy Princess and the Prairie Prince.
I have been an artist for as long as I can remember and have always loved to create. Two years ago my sister-in-law invited me to a rubber stamp party. I laughed and said "Maybe I will buy something if I can use it to stamp on canvases.". Needless to say, I was hooked! Two years later and a lot of learning about computers, I have finally accomplished my goal.

Two years later and a lot of learning about computers, I have finally accomplished my goal.
While digital stamping is relatively new in the papercrafting scene, it is what I believe to be such an amazing tool. Printed images have such clarity and vibrancy and gone is the need to re stamp an image because you didn't press hard enough or maybe you pressed too hard! They are also a lot easier to store and they can be reprinted over and over again. The fact that you can rotate and flip files, print them off the size of a postage stamp or as large as a scrapbook page makes them such a versatile medium. It is my sincere hope that I can help anyone who has hesitations about using digital images to embrace these amazing creative tools. If you have any questions about going digital, check out the site and the blog for more information. So head on over to http://www.prairiefairydesigns.com/ and check it out!
