"Biker Girl"

On Sunday last weekend I was sent a email by Dr. Digi with this "Biker Girl" image above and it reminded me so much of a very dear friend of mine, and as this week is a very difficult one for her and I felt if I could make her smile it was worth buying it and giving it a go.
And this was the photo that inspired me and as the friend in question is almost 86 I thought that the image was appropriate so I hope you like the result.

I used My Craft Studio to create the sentiment badge and placed it in the top right hand corner, the No.4 was from my stash and was coloured with a inkpad and to finish of I have used cupcake buttons down the right hand side.

I cannot believe that I have been running this blog for 6 years and my No.2 blog for 4, those years have flown so quickly and so much has happened in that time, youve heard of hatched, matched and despatched well Ive certainly had a few of those in that time, firstly my husbands daughters have produced three grandchildren and my grandson gave me my first great grandson, then my grandson and his wife got married and also my eldest daughter got remarried, and to finish of we lost my dear father in law and mother in law and my own mum in the last five years. It always amazes me that we manage somehow to carry on and cope with these things but I suppose thats why we are put here to do that.
Anyway todays Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is all about creating "A Card for a Child" and I know a good 50% of our cards are made for these little people so I dont think you will have any trouble with this theme. Challenge #181 - "For the Man in your Life" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, I hope that you are ready for the celebrations tonight, we have been experiencing Fireworks for the last week and no doubt it will go on till this coming weekend. This year its a bit more frightening for our dog as someone let one of not very far from her and of course it made her jump, so if you have pets dont forget to make sure they are indoors.
For the Challenge this week over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is all about that MAN in your life, and if your like me you have a very special man/boy you can think of who would love one of your cards. Its not always easy to create cards for them I know but as I say if hes someone special its time you had a try.
Of course we are being sponsored by Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

But of course this is providing you have used one of their products on your card and this could be either a image, paper or printable and you will find lots to choice from on their website The Paper Shelter and at the moment they have a sale on their Halloween products so do give them a browse and see for yourself what they have to offer  you. But even if you dont use their products they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice to play with so you really cannot loose can you. And please dont forget that we only allow 3 entries into our Challenges and at least one of them must have a TPS Image or product on it.
And now for the card I created for this Challenge.

For my card I have used "The Aviator" and you will find him here, I have printed him onto white card and coloured him with my copic pens, afterwards I cut him out using my rotatrim and also used a piece of beige card for the mount. The sentiment was created on my computer and then printed and mounted up in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a mount of beige card, the paper is the backing paper that comes with this particular image "The Aviator" and you will find it here. I then placed my mounted image in the center towards the top and the sentiment below. To finish of I have used some candie in all four corners, just to balance up the design.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "For the Man in your Life" Challenge.

ABC Challenges - "W for Water"

Good Morning Crafters, welcome to a brand new month, hasnt the year flown its Christmas in a few weeks now I hope that you have started sorting out your Christmas cards, luckily I have spend three days this week getting them inserted, written and put in envelopes, but Ive still got six more to make. Anyway this months challenge is "W for Water" over on the ABC Challenge Blogspot and for this one we are being sponsored by

And here is the card I made for this Challenge.

And for the image I have used a brand new design from Marianne Designs I have printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him. Afterwards I used Heartfelt Designs Die to cut him out and a larger one for the mount. The sentiment was one I found on the internet and then printed this also onto white card and cut this out also using a Heartfelt Designs Label die.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card the 3 papers I have used are from Sweetshoppes "Make a Splash" design set, and I have used three papers, the first a blue background with splash signs on, the second a orange zig-zag pattern and this I used a border punch that looked like waves, and the third is a strip down the middle with stars on and a white background.
The mounted image was then placed in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom towards the right. The last thing was the six candi buttons that were stuck down the left hand side.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to our "ABC Challenge Blogspot" and take part in this "W for Water" Challenge and I look forward to seeing your cards or projects.
