Challenge #241 - "Easter Time" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well can you believe that this coming weekend is Easter and of course the clocks will change again to Summer time and we loose a hours sleep, we have quite a job convincing our dog that the time has changed as shes so sure her feeding and walking times dont alter, I think shes in for a big surprise.
Well as its only days before the big Chocolate Egg time I thought that my card for this "Easter Time" challenge should be something to do with this season but its slightly different for the usual Bunny card and I hope you like the result.
As always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But this is providing you have used one of their products on your card and this could be either a Image, Paper or Printable and you will find lots to choose from at The Paper Shelter Website here, and even if you dont use one of these they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice. But we only allow 3 entries into our Challenges and at least one of those must use on of The Paper Shelter products.
And now for the reveal of my card

As I said its a slightly different Easter card and this scene is titled "Peaceful Easter" and you will find it here, I printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I cut it out with a circle Nestabilitie die and a fancy one for the mount, the sentiment was stamped onto white card then also cut out with a Spellbinders label die.
The base card is 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card, the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. I then placed my mounted image in the center and the sentiment in the top right hand corner.
To finish of I have used several egg buttons down the left hand side at the bottom and then the rabbit one in the bottom right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will now go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Easter Time".

ABC Challenges - "D is for Delicious"

Good Morning Crafters over on ABC Challenges we have reached the letter D and this time we would like you to create a card that is Delicious, and I leave that image to your own imagination. We are being sponsored by Bunny ZoeS and its such a shame that Nikki has decided to close her shop its been a brilliant sorce of crafty goodies for me.

I decided to use a House Mouse Image and here is my card

This little chap has rather over indulged in cake and I stamped him onto white card then coloured him with my copic pens, afterwards I used my Nestabilitie die to cut him out and used a fancy one for the pink mount behind him. The sentiment was treated in the same way as the Image.
The papers are from Joanna Sheens Backing Paper CD and I have used three of them for my card and layered them up as shown in the photo, I then placed my mounted image towards the top in the center and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
To finish of I have used cake and doughnut buttons as embellishments in two of the corners.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "D is for Delicious" Challenge.

Challenge #239 - "Away with the Fairies" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well can you believe that we are already into March, for me this is a very busy month as I have so many family birthdays that Im afraid that I will forget someone that I like to get well ahead with my cards.
I have been suffering with a chest infection and looking after a sick neighbour who has now been taken into respite care so a little time has been returned to me, though today I have a hospital appt and will be scheduling this post.
Well todays Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is themed "Away with the Fairies" and this was a phrase that my daughter told me I was that, though it may well be true as I love anything to do with the little people.
Before I get to deep in my young past you will want to know what is going on and this will be sponsored by our very generous sponsors Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

And for my card I used this gorgeous image:-

And this little lady is "My hair" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card and then cut her out with a Little B die and a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card the papers are from "Bewitched" papers and you will find them here, I have used 3 different papers the first I used on the base mount and the other two I cut into squares and used a heart corner punch on each of the corners these were layered up and the mounted image was then placed towards the top on the left and the sentiment was then put under it in the right hand corner.
To finish of I have used some Nestabilie leaf die cuts and some punched out pink flowers to create a frame around the mounted image.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to want to take part in this "Away with the Fairies".

The sentiment was created on my computer and then also cut out with a round die and I used a fancy one for the mount. The number is a wooden one which I coloured with a pen and placed in the center of the sentiment mount.

ABC Challenges - "Y is for your own Choice"

Happy New Year Crafters, I hope you all had a wonderful Xmas, Im scheduling this post as Im due to have my cataract done on December 29th and Im not sure if Im going to be able to write up a post on the 30th so I hope you wont mind me being a bit early with my doing this. Eye operation update, all went well though they did burst a blood vessel when injecting into the eye so was weeping blood for awhile, its extremely sore but getting better and at least the cataract has gone so I have clear vision ahead.
This first Challenge over on ABC Challenges starts with the letter "Y" and the theme is all about picking your own design and Image and for this we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter and as you probably know I have been on their Design Team for 5 years so I have quite a lot of Images to play with.
Veronica and Pedro are offering you a fabulous prize of $20. to spend on their website

And for my Card for this Challenge I chose this image

This little lady is called "She Wolf" you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a Circle die from Little B Dies they are a fabulous die company that sell their dies with a magnetic folder so you cant loose them. I used two of their other dies to create the mount the first out of beige card and the second of a darker one and layered them up as shown.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of beige card, the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here, I then printed a second one and cut it out and layered it under the mount of the image as shown in the photo. I did stamp the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner as it wasnt big enough to put a mounted one.
I then used several flowers and created the floral spray which has been mounted down the left side and across the top of my card.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will pop over to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team has created for your inspiration and hopefully you to want to take part in this "Y is for your own Choice" Challenge.

The Paper Shelter Christmas Challenge - "Anything Goes" Challenge

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, Well this is our last Challenge for 2015 and this is because we want all the girls to be able to take a break with their families we shall not be commenting on your entires so please understand this as its probably going to be a very busy one as its a "Anything Goes" one. We want to wish all Paper Shelter Followers a very Happy Christmas and we shall be back with a normal Challenge on January 7th with the B Team.
But as always we are being sponsored by Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a lucky winner of this Challenge $30. to spend on their website

And as always this comes with the rule that you must have used one of their images on your card and this could be either a Image or printable and you will find lots to choose from on their website The Paper Shelter, but even if you havent used one they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so you really cannot loose by taking part in our Challenge. Also please remember that we only allow 3 entries into our Challenges and at least one of those must carry one of our TPS images.
And now for my Card I do hope you like it

I chose this image as I thought it was a bit of fun especially as at this time of the year a lot of you like to go to parties and even celebrate the New Year at a Masked Ball, and this young lady is called "Venice Carnival" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, I also used a Nestabilitie Die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount out of gold card. The Sentiment is a stamp from my stash thats also been stamped and mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is gold card, I also used the background paper from the "Venice Carnival" and you will find it here, on top of this down the edges I have used a punched out border using a Tonic Border Punch, and with a large heart shapped doily I placed the mounted image in the center of my base card with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
To finish of I have used several sizes of pearls in three of the corners. And now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Teams have created for yours inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Anything Goes" 3 week Challenge.
