Challenge #22 - Cards for Men - "Sketch"

Good Morning Everyone, I was asked by my Team Leader to create a "Sketch" for this fortnights Challenge over at the Cards for Men and I do hope that you will enjoy playing with it.

And we are being sponsored this time by Letreset and they are offering a fabulous prize of a pack of Aquamarkers.

And here is what they say about themselves:-

ProMarkers are made by Letraset and are a twin tipped, dye based alcohol marker offering a high quality product at a great price. Avilable in 148 colours, they give incredible tonal range and can be applied to a diverse range of materials, not just paper and card. ProMarkers produce vivid, bright colours right through to the subtlest pastel shades - the translucent inks can also be overlaid and blended, even further extending the range of shades and hues on offer. ProMarker's quality nibs and inks provide flawless colour lay down with consistent coverage and no unsightly streaking
And this is the card I created for this Challenge.

I used this gorgeous image from Teddy Bo, and printed him onto white card then used my promarkers to colour him, then cut him out with my rotatrim and then mounted him onto a piece of purple card. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as my image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of purple card and the papers I have used are from Sweetshoppe Digi "Azucar" paper set, the first one is a black and white background of sculls in a damask pattern, then on top I have used a red background with a white spot on it.
I then positioned my mounted image towards the right with the sentiment below.
To finish of I have used the Whimsey stamp and die set to create the pumpkins in the bottom left hand corner, and with some Halloween charms stuck down the left hand side.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration, and hopefully you to will take part in this "Sketch" Challenge.

Good Morning Everyone, I just carnt believe that already another fortnight has flown by and weve now reached out third Challenge over on the Cards for Men and this time we are being sponsered by Letreset,

and this what they say about themselves :-

And they have offered a fabulous prize:-

And here is my card for this "Seeing Red" Challenge.

For my card Ive used this gorgeous "Football Bo" image for my card and coloured him with my promarkers and tria pens, I then cut him out with my Nestabilitie Labels Die No.17 and drawn around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is one I created on my computer and printed it out and mounted it on a piece of red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount Ive used red card and two free downloads I found on the internet, the first one is a red background with footballs on and the second is a strip of white with more footballs on this was punched on the two sides with a Martha Steward punch.
I then wrapped around the middle a white football ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount, and positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. For my final flourish I have stuck two football buttons and a boot down the right hand side at the top.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you will go and visit what the rest of the very talented design team have created for your inspiration over on the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and I hope you will also take part in this "Seeing Red" Challenge.

A Card or the Teddy Bo Challenge - "Anything Goes"

Good Afternoon Everyone, well gues what the sun is out and it looks gorgeous out there and a lot better than first thing this morning which was a world of white, heavy frost. Anyway today Ive created a card for the Teddy Bo "Anything Goes" Challenge and Ive used this super hero Teddybo image and Ive coloured it with my copic pens then used the Nestabilitie Die Labels No.17 to cut it out then used the die again for the mount (top tip). The sentiment was created on my computer and printed it and mounted it with a piece of red card thats used elsewhere on it.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and then three papers Ive used are from the Wild Rose "For Men" paper set, and the sketch was one I found on the internet not sure whose it is but thought it was just right for a male card.

Bearlymine Designs Challenge Twentyfive - "Untraditional Christmas"

Good Morning Everyone, well yet another fortnight has flown by and weve now reached our Twentyfifth Challenge at Bearlymine Designs and this one we want to see "Untraditional Colours" on your card. The news on poor Donna is still uncertain, but I do want to wish her good luck that things will soon return to normal for her, as Im sure she really must be very frustrated with things. Anyway back to this fortnights Challenge and this time we are being sponsered by the following companies:-

Theres some really fabulous prizes there and Im sure you will want a chance of winning one of them. And here is my card for this Challenge.
The Design Team was lucky to be able to choose a image for this Challenge and I chose this "Gingerbread Bo" from Teddybo for my card, Ive coloured him with copics and tria pens then cut him out with Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 then used the same die to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one of the Flourishes circle stamps and Ive treated it in the same way as the mounted image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and Ive cut it with the Grand Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 and then cut a mount out of blue card and for my papers I have used Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Christmas Wishes" digi paper set, the first paper has lots of gingerbread men (I thought it was ideal for this image) and I cut this to fit like the first mount. The second and third papers have been cut into 5" squares and then Ive used my Martha Stewart Aspen Snowflake border and corner punches on them, then placed them on top of the first paper in an of set manner, the patterns on both were firstly a snowflake and the second was a sentiment one. Then around the middle I have wrapped a gingerbread ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have put three little pom poms on his gingerbread suit just for a bit of texture.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will now visit the Bearlymine Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this "Untraditional Christmas" Challenge.

Cards for Men "Pairs Challenge" and "Blog Hop"

Another year has whizzed by and Cards for Men has now been running for two years and to celebrate we have a blog hop running as well as the usual Challenge. The theme for the usual Challenge is the number "2" interpret it how you will, two cards, two images, pairs, twinsets (card and gift) etc. We'll draw a random winner and top 3 as usual. You can get all the details and lots of ideas from the Design Team over at the Challenge Blog. And here is what I have made.

For my cards I have used this "TeddyBo in Santa's Hat" image and created two cards as my pair, both of them have been coloured with my Copic and Tria pens, and then cut out with the Nestabilitie Die Labels No.16 to cut it out and for its mount Ive used the Ornament die and run it through the my cuttlebug with a ornament embossing folder.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue for the blue card and red for the other one, and then Ive used the Papermania "Christmas Joy" paper pad in the two colours and have used three layers the second one has a strip down the card with the Martha Steward Parcel border punch used on it and the third mount is a plain colour with a pattern of ornaments on it. The mounted image was then positioned in the centre and I have then  wrapped two coloured ribbons at the bottom around the cards which have sentiments on them.

Also, we are having an Anniversary Blog Hop. You can get the full list of blogs over at Cards for Men. If you arrived here from "Patricia's" then you're on the right track. If not, hop over to Cards for Men to start at the beginning.

At each stop there'll be a word to collect and a candy draw. I've got 5 Images  from Karens Doodles to give away.

And here is what Karen says about her company:-

Karen Johnson has beendrawing all of her life. She has worked on the feature film, “Ferngully The Last Rainforest” and has created animations for Disney, Fisher Price and Mattel. She has illustrated several children’s books and is currently teaching animation at a college in Wisconsin. She started Karen’s Doodles so she could share her whimsical drawings with crafters from around the world.

To be in with a chance of winning this prize you just need to leave a comment at the end of this post. A random winner will be drawn on 19 December 2011.

Each stop will have a word which you should collect to make a festive phrase. My word is "Greetings". At the end of the blog hop you should have 9 words, work out the phrase and leave it in the comments back at Cards for Men. The blog hop will run until midnight on 18 December 2010 and a winner will be chosen on 19 December 2011.

Your next stop is "Donna". If you lose your way you can go back to Cards for Men to get the full list. Good luck everyone.

Good Morning Everyone, yet another fortnight has flown by and weve reached our 18th Challenge and for this one we need you to use anything within the bounds of the letter "G" and Im sure with your imagination it wont be long before you find sometime that will fit the bill, it might be the colour green, or a sport beginning with the letter G, but it must be something for man or a boy, so I think you might have to put your thinking caps on for this one. Before I start I want to thank everyone who took part in our last challenge is was a great favourite and we had over 300 entrants and thats a record for sure.
But getting back today we are being sponsered by "Letreset" and you know what fabulous pens they are either the Promarkers, Aquamarkers and even the Tria ones are great favourites with all of us and they are offering a fabulous prize of Pen Set so I do hope that you will take part in this Challenge.

And here is what they say about themselves :-

ProMarkers are made by Letraset and are a twin tipped, dye based alcohol marker offering a high quality product at a great price. ProMarker's quality nibs and inks provide flawless colour lay down with consistent coverage and no unsightly streaking.

And here is my card for this Challenge:-

As you can probably guess I have used this fabulous TeddyBo image of him playing golf, isnt he he gorgeous, love his plus fours, you will find him here. I have printed him onto white card then coloured him with my Tria Pens afterwards I used one of the Nestabilitie Circle dies to cut him out, and then drew around the die to create the mount for him. The sentiment is one I created with My Craft Studio and cut that out in the same way as the image and mounted this also onto a piece of green card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green pearlescent card and one of three papers from the Kay Miller "Do you see what I sea" set of papers, the first one is a green stripe and on top is a blue check which has been mounted onto blue card and set at an angle, and the third is multi spot paper thats been mounted on yet more of the green card and stuck across the middle.
My mounted image was then positioned in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side and to finish of I have stuck two golf ball buttons down the right hand side at the top.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope it will give you some inspiration to try and make a card for this fortnights challenge of "G" is For" and that you will now go and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your delight over on our "Cards for Men" Blogspot.

And if you go to her own blogsite she has fabulous yummy blogcandy on offer if you click on the link at the top of my blog you will be taken straight to it. Anyway heres my card for this Challenge.

I have used for this card two of the beautiful Teddy Bo images, both of them of Bo dressed up in his bunny suit, the one on the outside is of him trying to scale a rather large Easter Egg, and the one inside he seems to have been palmed of with a smaller one. Both this images were printed onto white card before being coloured with my copic pens, I then used my oval Nestabilitie Oval Die to cut him out, and a large Scalloped one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark brown card, and for all three pages I have used for my first paper a paper from the "Plain and Simple" set, a all over beige patterned paper, on top of this is a sheet from the "Spring Mix" paper which has spots of different colours and sizes on, and for my third is a sheet from the "Spring and Summer Stripes" paper, this two sheets have been cut in wide strips and Ive used a bunny border punch along both edges before mounting them up on top of the first mount, then across the middle I have wrapped a bunny ribbon which I have attached to the back of the first mount.
On the front I have put the first image of Bo trying to mount a large egg, and the sentiment down the bottom on the right handside, this came from TLC. In the inside on the left is the other image this also was mounted in the middle, and for the other side I have printed a verse onto white card from my computer and then cut this out with my oval Nestabilitie die as I did with the images.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you will pop across to our Bearlymine Challenge Site and see what the rest of the Design Team have to show you, as they are a team of very talented ladies and I know they will inspire you into creating cards for this challenge.
