Heres my third Card with the new Fairy Images

Good Morning Crafters, well its certainly a weird day for the weather, its windy but at this very moment the sun is out, but you know what its like one minute sun the next rain, but I thought I would bring another card using the gorgeous new Fairy Glen images from Funky Kits, isnt she just so cute. I have stamped her onto a white card and then coloured it with my copic pens and afterwards I have used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.1 to cut it out then used a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is from my stash and has been mounted onto a piece of blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the papers I have used are from Kay Millers Digi Downloads and this one is "Its a Spring Thing" which is a pretty white background with multi flowers on it. The second paper is a stripe one and the third a plain blue one.
The mounted image was then placed towards the top in the middle and the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, and to finish of I have placed six pearls in opposite corners.
This Card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

A Card for two Magnolia Challenges

Good Afternoon All, I know its been awhile since I made any Magnolia Stamped cards so I thought for a change I would make an effort, and Ive used this sweet image of Tilda and coloured her with my copic pens before cutting her out with my Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1, Ive also used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is one of the LOV round stamps and Ive also cut this out with a circle die and mounted it onto a larger one to.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and then Ive used one of three papers from the Kay Miller Download "High Seas" digi paper set, this first one is of water and waves, the second mount is in yellow with a large sun pattern on and the third a strip which has been placed across the card, Ive actually used the new Sugar Bowl sketch for this card.
I then used the Memory box sandal border die, with the wave one and the waving palm to, to finish of the bottom. I placed my mounted image towards the left and the sentiment at the top on the right.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Afternoon Everyone, sorry Ive not been posting to much lately, but have been busy trying to catch up in advance with my DT cards but also I wanted to spend sometime with my Yorkie Missy, as she had to have several operations yesterday, she was spayed, six dew claws had to be removed and two baby teeth which werent going to come out on their own as they were rather impacted in her jaw. Anyway fortunately everything went well and shes in a good condition though she has removed some of her stitches from one of her back legs, and has now got a hole and Im hoping it will heal of its on accord and wont need stitching up again, we have to go to the local vets on Saturday for a check up so we will be able see what they say then.
Anyway back to the card Ive posted today, as you are probably aware Sugar Nellie also run a Sunday challenge on Facebook, they are mainly colour challenges and are great fun, you really out to have a look for yourself and join in the fun. Ive also found that the sketch Ive used is the one they are using for this weeks Sugar Bowl Challenge and so Im going to enter it in there to.
The image is a real cutie and her name is "Belle" and Ive coloured her with my copic pens and cut it out with a Memory Box dies (which are my favourite tool) and then used another for the mount. The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of turquoise card and the papers Ive used are from Kay Millers "Fairy Dust" digi papers. Ive also used some of the papers to create a rolled flower with a Spellbinders flower die, this was stuck to the top on the left on top of some punched out leaves.

A Card for Mo's Challenge "Bingo"

Good Morning Everyone, wow what a cold night, it was 8 degrees below zero here in Gloucestershire, though the sun is out now its still cold outside, and everywhere is icy so you have to watch where you put your foot. We had to take Missy to the vets this morning as weve been having problems getting her to eat, shes not the easiest of dogs at the best of times but for the last few days shes really not wanted to eat her meat only her treats. Anyway he gave her a good going over and because shes only just coming out of her first season he thinks shes experiencing a phantom pregnancy, luckily its only a mild one but he says as weve already booked her in to be spayed in April he would have suggested to have her done as she was most likely to experience these each time she has a season and it will only get worse, so thats a relief at least we now know weve done the right thing. Even that visit cost us £21. just for the advice and no treatment, so lets hope she soon comes out of it.
Todays card has is for this weeks challenge over on Mo's and this one is a combination bingo and Ive chosen, diecuts & punches, lace and gems, and Ive even popped a diecut flower on there to. This little mite is "Adele" and Ive coloured her with my copic pens then used Nestabilitie Die No.18 to cut her out then drew around the die to create the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green pearlescent card with one paper from the Kay Millers "Wishful Thinking" digi paper set, a very pretty green and yellow pattern background, then Ive used the new Spring Border Die from Memory Box, and around the middle I have wrapped a piece of lace with a ribbon on top.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle, with the sentiment below. To finish of Ive used two more of the papers from the same set of and one of the blossom dies from Nestabilities and wound it up and stuck it at the top on the left with three punched out leaves.

Good Morning to Everyone, well yet another fortnight has flown by and weve now reached our 19th Challenge and this time we want "Anything but Square" so youd better get your thinking caps on deciding what you are going to make, and we are being sponsered this time by Pixie Dust Studio.  And they are offering 2 digi's of Winners Own Choice.

PixieDust Studio is a land, full of fairies, trolls, Glitter Bugs, Royal Frogs and MORE..look out, you might find everything you ever wanted or something that you did not even know you were looking for! The STUDIO is full of creative and fun digital stamps created by illustrator Kathy Fronczak.

And Kathy generously gave us some fabulous images to play with and here is my choice:-

This image is titled "Boy in a Boat" isnt he gorgeous, I printed him onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour him, then decided that I would create a boat shape and cut him out ready to put him on my card and mounted him onto some dark blue card to.
The base card is really a 6"x 6" but has been cut into the appropriate shape, for my first mount Ive used dark card with two papers from Kay Millers "Do you see what I Sea" digi papers, these were cut in halve and stuck to the mount with a grosgrain ribbon along the seam. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was mounted on a tag and Ive threaded a bit more of the same grosgrain ribbon through the hole. I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment just tucked under one of the corners and a sailboat was then stuck on top of the ribbon. Ive also stuck a scull and crossbones button on the mast and a anchor at the bottom on the left hand side.
I do hope that now youve seen my card you will go across to the Cards for Men Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and Im sure this will encourage you to take part in this fortnights "Anything but a Square" card Challenge.

As you can probably guess I have used this fabulous TeddyBo image of him playing golf, isnt he he gorgeous, love his plus fours, you will find him here. I have printed him onto white card then coloured him with my Tria Pens afterwards I used one of the Nestabilitie Circle dies to cut him out, and then drew around the die to create the mount for him. The sentiment is one I created with My Craft Studio and cut that out in the same way as the image and mounted this also onto a piece of green card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green pearlescent card and one of three papers from the Kay Miller "Do you see what I sea" set of papers, the first one is a green stripe and on top is a blue check which has been mounted onto blue card and set at an angle, and the third is multi spot paper thats been mounted on yet more of the green card and stuck across the middle.

Good Morning Everyone, well here we are at the start of another fortnight and already we have reached our 17th Challenge and this week is a real easy one that I know so many of you like to take part it in "Anthing Goes" and we are being sponsered by Claire of Hope Jacare.
And here is what Claire says about her company:-

I'm a SAHM with three young children. I trained in Textile Design at the Glasgw School of Art and I love all things handmade, but especially papercrafts.  I love to doodle ... and my doodles are available to purchase as digital images through Stitchy Bear Stamps.

And for this Challenge we have been fortunate to have been given several images to play with and I chose this one its called "Boat at Sea", and heres my card.
Ive printed the image onto white card before colouring it with my copic and tria pens, afterwards I used the Nestabilitie Rectangle Die to cut it out, then drew around the die onto blue card and cut it out for the mount. The sentiment was made by using My Craft Studio graphics program then cut out with a circle die, Ive also cut out a larger one in blue card for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark blue card and one of four papers from Kay Millers "Do you see what I sea" the first paper is a all over blue background then on top I have used three papers and my EK Success border punch on the papers and layered them up as different depths to the sea.  The mounted image was then positioned in the centre towards the top with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have stuck several fish buttons along the bottom and a shark on in the centre of the sentiment.

A Card for LOV Challenge - "Roses"

Good Afternoon All, Im so sorry that Ive not been around for a week but life has been very busy here at Chalmers towers, Ive been busy not only with my DT work but also helping hubby remove ivy from our two Lilac trees, clever me thought it would be nice to see the varigated ivy growing through the tree but it wasnt as it choked it and made it very sparse in the centre, anyway with lots of climbing he eventually managed to clear them both yesterday, mind you our green wheely bin is full to the brim with the rubbish.
Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks LOV challenge and Ive used one of those freebies from one of the craft magazine and Ive coloured it with my copic and tria pens before cutting it out with my Nestabilitie Label 1 then used the die to create a faux mount by drawing around the edge of it and cutting it out with scissors.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of a greeny blue card and one of three papers from the Kay Miller Digi Downloads, the first paper is a light green spot paper and then on top I have cut a 5" square and used one of the all around heart border punches on it from Martha Stewart, and for the third mount Ive used yet another piece of the same card and punched along one edge with the same border punch and put my last slip of paper by the side of it.
I then wrapped a green gauzy ribbon around the card and placed my mounted image in the centre, the sentiment is one of the LOV images and this has been mounted on a tag with yet a bit more of the ribbon threaded through the hole and this was then stuck at the bottom on the right hand side. I then created a rose spray in the top left hand corner with several different sizes of roses stuck to the card with silicone glue and on top of some punched out rose leaves. The final thing is the few pearl gems stuck at the top and bottom in the opposite corners to the roses and sentiment.

A Card for the LOV Challenge "I Believe in Fairies"

Good Morning Everyone, and guess what after all that wind its now pouring of rain I know our poor gardens could do with it, but why does it always have to do it on a Bank Holiday? Oh well never mind it at least gives me the excuse of not having to go out in it, and todays card has been created for the Lili of the Valleys "I believe in Fairies" Challenge, now Ive got a big secret to tell you, I love them and have always believed in them since I found a book with them in when I was five years old and now over 60 years later I still have that same book its a little battle worn but its still my fondest memory of my grandparents and Christmas 1947, I know you can now work out how old I am but what the heck go for girls, (Im actually 69 this November). Well getting back to the card Ive used this sweet image of a fairie then coloured her with my copic and tria pens after whice Ive used my Nestabilitie Die No.19 to cut her out and used a smaller one for the sentiment which is another of the LOV stamps. Both have been mounted onto card where Ive used the same dies to draw arund then cut them out with scissors.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of deep purple card and one of three papers from Kay Millers "Wings" digi download papers, the first a mauve background with several coloured butterflies on, the second is a green paper and Ive used the butterfly punch set all around the sides from Martha Stewart, then on top a strip of card with a stripe paper down the card then Ive used another of the same pearlescent card and ran it through my cuttlebug with an butterfly embossing folder, this was then laid across the card with a piece of seam binding ribbon wrapped around the middle.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, I then created a triple bow with the same seam binding and stuck to the left of the mount with a silver butterfly stuck in the centre. To finish of I used some of the left over paper to create two flowers that have then been stuck to the top on the left with some punched out leaves.
Before I finish I want to let you know that my Design Team Leader Donna of Bearlymine in collaboration with Fred She Said,  has another beautiful and stunning "Summer Roses" digi paper set out, if youd like to see how gorgeous it is please do pop across to her site here and see for yourself.

A Card for Mo and Cute Card Thursday Challenges

Good Afternoon Everyone, yes I know Ive been very lapse this week posting any cards, well next week there will be three so be grateful I was quiet this week for sure next week will make up for it. Todays card has been created for two challenges Mo's "Distressing" and Cute Card Thursday "Lets get Krafty", well Ive used Mo's little floor washer (mum) for my image, this is the first time Ive not only used this image but also this Kraft card, its a bit difficult to colour so Ive used my Karisma polychromo pencils to colour it then I tore around the edges, I then used a inkpad to distress the edges. The sentiment is one I created on my computer and printed it of and mounted it onto a piece of dark beige card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for the first mount Ive used the same dark beige card and on top Ive used two papers from the "Count your Blessings" from Kay Miller downloads, its a very pretty green beige background with flowers on, then on top Ive used a plain paper and used my all around border punches from Martha Stewart, it was then stuck on top of the first mount.
The sentiment was positioned in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, to finish of Ive used another of the papers from the same digi set, and punched out two flowers with my new Die namics flower punch, then rolled them and stuck them to the base, the stuck them to the card at the top on the left on top of some punched out leaves with some silicone glue.

A Card for the Lovely hAnglar and Just Magnolia Challenges

Good Afternoon All, hope that you are enjoying your weekend and are over the terrible day we had yesterday with Blogger, and I did find that all my old posts have been restored so thats a relief. Anyway todays card has been created for two Challenges Lovely hAnglar's "A Receipe 2 Papers, 2 Flowers, 1 Charm" and Just Magnolia's "Make it Lacey" and Ive used this sweet image thats from the Sailor set, and stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her. Then she was cut out with my Nestabilie Die No.17 I then used the same die to draw around to create the mount for her. The sentiment is one of the Cats Life Scrabble stamps and this has been mounted also on a piece of blue pearlescent card thats been cut with my rotatrim.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a piece of blue card for the first mount and one of two papers from the Kay Miller "Ocean Adventure" digi download papers, this one is a blue base with lots of fish on, and then on top is a second mount of a blue paper and thats been stuck to the right hand side of the card. Around the middle I have wrapped a piece of blue lace with a satin ribbon stuck to the top of it and attached at the back of the first mount.
The sentiment was positioned at the bottom on the right and the mounted image to the left hand side. To finish of Ive created two flowers from some of the left over papers with my Die-namics "Upsey Daisy" dies, and Ive popped a pearl brad with a spacer through the centres of both, but on the second one I hung a anchor charm from the brad. These were then stuck to the card on top of some punched out fern leaves on some silicone glue.

A Card for Just Magnolia Challenge - "A Sketch by Bev"

Good Morning All, the sun is out again though weve already had some rain Im hoping it wont come back but you know how our weather is like, you carnt rely on anything. Todays card is for the Just Magnolia's "A Sketch by Bev" and Ive used this sweet image of Tilda in her wellie boots, I think it was part of my Club Stamp kit, and Ive stamped her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, after which I have cut her out with a small circle die by Nestabilities, Ive had to do the out of the box technique on it so it would fit in the Die-namic die behind it, Ive also used a lace doily one as well. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been mounted on a piece of the same pearlescent card as was used for the dies.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink pearlescent card and one of two papers from the Kay Miller Downloads, I do love them as they are vibrant and beautifully patterned. The first paper is a pretty flowered one on a white background, the second paper across the bottom is a pink background with a darker pink spot on, this was mounted on some pink card. Ive created the card to the sketch, and afterwards I created a flower spray down the side of the image with several different sizes of roses and some punched out rose leaves and they were attached to the card with silicone glue. The last thing are the three pearls down the edge on the right hand side.

The Third Paper Shelter Challenge - "Scrap It"

Good Morning Ladies, it doesnt seem possible that we have already reached our third challenge here at The Paper Shelter, I do hope that this one will receive some more entrants as the last one "Seeing Red" didnt go down as well as we expected, maybe it was because we had enough of red because of Valentines Day. But this time should be a breeze for you as it involves using up all those scraps that you have in your goody bag.
Firstly left me give you the rules for entering this Challenge, you dont have to use one of the The Paper Shelter images but if you wish to be entered in the prize draw you do, they are very inexpensive and if you click on their website The Paper Shelter here you will be surprised at just how much they are. Heres the prize if you do a fabulous $15 voucher for you to buy any images of your own choice.
Anyway heres my card for this Challenge and the image I have chosen to use is called "Steam Punk Girl" and she was a dream to colour.
I printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens then cut her out with my rotatrim and did the same with the mount. The sentiment is one of the C&C stamps and this given the same treatment as the image.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of lilac pearlescent card, and one of three paper off cuts I found in my stash, the first one is one of Donna's Bearlymine Digi papers called "Spring Flight" (Donna has a special Spring Sale at the moment on some fabulous new papers) the second and third papers are from the Kay Miller Downloads "Wings" they are all mounted on pieces on lilac card and arranged on the base card. I then wrapped some sissal ribbon around the middle with a sparkly ribbon mounted on top, and a knot tied at the edge.
The mounted image was then stuck on top towards the left and the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive used some of the same left over papers to create paper flowers with my Retro punches, and these were stuck at the top on the right with some punched out oak leaves on silicone glue.
I do so hope you will now pop over to The Paper Shelter Blogspot and see the rest of my fellow team members stunning work and please do try and take part in our Challenges as it would be such a shame if after all the hard work that Donna and Cheryl have put into starting this Challenge Blogspot it was to fail.
This is a weekly Challenge and it will finish next Tuesday evening.

Cards for Men - Challenge 5 - "Water"

Oh my here we are at Challenge 5 already, dont you think these weeks are flying by, the evening are getting lighter and hopefully it will get a bit warmer soon. Weve had phone calls from New Zealand where my BIL lives in Christchurch to say that the town is absolutely desolated, and hes moved out to his bash, (its a summer house he uses away from the city) luckily he was in Wellington when the earthquake hit, and so he did let us know that, while eating a meal with his children in a Turkish restaurant up there. But how horrible not sure how we in the UK would cope with such an awful situation.
Anyway todays Challenge has been set by my fellow Design Team Member Patricia of "Rubberstamping is my game" please do pop over to see her fabulous blog and stunning work, she has chosen for this particular Challenge "Water" and this is the theme for the fortnight. We are being sponsered by Claire of "Hope Jacare" and Im sure youve seen her gorgeous scrummy digi images.
And she has offered us 3 of her digi images as a prize, I do think you will be thrilled with whatever choice you decide if you are the winner, anyway this is what Claire says about her company:-

And this is the digi that I chose for my DT card, its called "Haco the Viking" and you know me I have to go for the one with the most to colour, hope you like it.
Ive printed him onto white card then coloured the image with my copic pens, afterwards he was cut out with my Nestabilitie Label No.8 then I drew around the die to create a faux mount. The sentiment is a Scrabble stamp from "Cats Life" which I purchased from CraftyEmmas store, this was also mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark blue card and one of three papers from Kay Miller downloads, the first paper a water scene, on top is a strip of green spotted paper and then  red check on top of this, Ive used a Martha Steward border punch along both the edges to try and create a wave look.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle and the sentiment below on the right.  To finish of I have put a lighthouse button in the bottom left hand corner.
I do so hope you will now go and visit our Cards for Men Blogspot and see the rest of my fellow Design Team members cards and hopefully this will inspire you to create cards with a water theme.

Guest Designer for A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 137 "Photo Inspiration"

Last week I won some blogcandy on the Wags and Whiskars Bloghop, and I was lucky to win two fabulous stamps from Nikki of Bunny-Zoes Blogspot and I was asked if I would be a guest designer for a Challenge on "A Spoon Full of Sugar" Challenge Blogspot and I didnt have to think long and I said Id be delighted to take part, and then Nikki sent me a photo and as you will see the colour choices were really bright and cheerful,
and as I chose the stamp below for my prize I thought it was ideal to use it for this colour choice I hope you think so.
This image is called Nichola and as fairies are often bright and colourful it was ideal for the challenge, and as you can see Ive coloured it with my copic pens, then cut her out with my Nestabilitie Die Label No.1 and then drew around the edge of the die to create the mount, the sentiment is one of the Whimsey Ticket stamps and Ive done the same thing with this.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of orange card and one of three papers from the Kay Miller Downloads "Live for Joy" digi papers, the first one being a orange based spot and circle papers, on top of this is a pink card with a flower pattern and the third mount is another pink card with an all over pink pattern on. Around the middle Ive wrapped two seam binding ribbon in pink and orange and created a bow with them and attached it to the side with silicone glue.
The mounted image was positioned towards the right hand side, and the sentiment ticket was placed below at an angle. Ive created three flowers with some of the left over papers, and have pearl brads through the middle and then attached to the base card with some silicone glue and punched out fern leaves. Ive also popped a few yellow pearls in a couple of the corners.

A Card for Dawn

Good Morning Ladies, todays card is for a very special friend of mine Dawn, in fact its one of her own digi images that Ive used to create this card. Dawn has been selling her own craft Cds on Ebay for many years and thats how I met her and we have been friends ever since. I suggested to her about a month ago it might be the next step for her to start looking into creating Digi images and this is her first attempt, now I know there are a few problems and Im sure with time Dawn will get a better feel of the way it works, as Ive found that the lines are just a little faded in places when I printed this and a couple of others but I did want her to see the results of the first card, I do so hope she gets pleasure of actually seeing her digi stamp in card form.
These digi's are of little girls in bubbles, and Ive printed her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens. As lilac is my favourite colour this is what Ive used for this card, I cut her out with a circle die, and used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is one of the Stampin Up swerve stamps, and I felt we could get away with using it for this card.
Ive created a 6"x 6" white card and three papers from the Kay Millers digi downloads, the first paper a very pretty flower papers, the second is a pinky/mauve plaid paper and the third a stripe paper. Around the middle Ive wrapped a lilac satin ribbon around the middle, and then positioned my mount in the middle and my sentiment at the bottom on the left hand side. To finish of Ive created a flower spray of three roses, pearl sprays and punched out fern leaves these were attached to the card with silicone glue at the top on the left hand side.

A Card for Many Challenges

Good Afternoon Ladies, I must apologise for not posting anything for the last few days, I have been working and Ive been creating cards for my DT work so thats why I havent had time to post anything on here. But today I thought Id better get my finger out and make something for several Challenges at once, and this one will be firstly for the Just Magnolia Challenge a sketch by Donalda, Totally Papercrafts "Add a Heart", CES Challenge "Angels and Fairies" and Stamp Somethings "Cute Somethings" and I think this sweet H&S image covers all of those.
Ive stamped her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, I then used glossy accents on the hearts (Im afraid I rather smudged the one of the sentiment, not that it shows when you look at it, but the flash rather shows it unfortunately) and some white puffy stuff on the edges of her dress and sleeve, and some glitter on her wings. I then cut it out with my circle Nestabilitie and used a Scalloped one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and I dont remember whos it is at the moment sorry.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of pale green pearlescent card and two papers from the Kay Miller Download "Capes and Bliss" two papers with different base colours but with the same flower pattern on, I then used a piece of lace around the middle and attached it to the back. To finish of Ive used a large daisy and some punched out leaves to attach it to the bottom of my card on the left with some silicone glue, then popped six green pearls down the other two opposite corners.

A Challenge Card for Crafts and Me

Good Morning Ladies, I hope you are not expecting snow to fall tonight as weve been promised but Im so hoping that theyve got that wrong, anyway I must pop out later while the weather is dry. Todays card has been created for Crafts and Me's challenge "Paper Tearing" and Ive used this sweet image from Bridgit Ashwood, I do think this little fairy is gorgeous.
Ive stamped and coloured her with copic pens, then cut her out with my Oval Nestabilitie dies and created a mount with a scalloped one. The sentiment is one from my stash and at the moment I carnt remember whos it is. The card is a 6"x 6" base card with four papers from Kay Millers "Tropical Punch" digi download set. Ive layered them up across the card and have torn of the two papers and used ink pads along the edges, and wrapped an orange satin ribbon around one end.
The mounted image was positioned in the middle with my sentiment to the left hand side, Ive also used two Marianne diecut corners, a few pearls, and a Prima flower to finish it of.
