Good Morning Crafters, well I dont know about you but here we are already on the third month of a new year and another week has flown by over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and we are now on to a new theme and this week its all about Fairies, so we need to see your images on your cards.
And dont forget we have a DT Call running at the moment if you are interested in joining our DTs please do go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see for yourself what is expected of you.

http://thepapershelter.blogspot.co.uk/

But before I show you what Ive been up to as always our very generous sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

But as always this comes with the usual rule that you must have used one of their products on your card this could be a image, paper or printable and you will find them on their website The Paper Shelter and believe me when I tell you that they are brilliant value and you will find that the exchange rate is very good, and even if you havent used one of their products they will still give you three images of your own choice, so you really cannot loose can you?
And now I want to show you my card, I hope you like it.

And here she is its titled "Enchanted Dreams" and you will find her here, and I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her and afterwards I used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.4 to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one that I googled then printed it and cut the mount for it from another of the Nestabilitie Tag dies.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pale green card, and the papers are from Kay Millers "Fairy Dust" digi papers, I have used two of the papers the first a green background with leaves on, and the second a flower one and a Cheery Lynn doily die and then placed in on top of the first mount.
I then cut out the sprigs with a Die-namics dies and stuck them down the left hand side, I then placed my mounted image towards the right with the sentiment underneath on the right hand side. I then used some of the left over papers from the same paper set to cut out the rolled flowers and these where then stuck to the sprigs in various places, and to finish of I have punched out two butterflies and stuck them on the sprig as well. The final flourish are the two flower buttons at the top on the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and then hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Away with the Fairies" Challenge.

For my card I used this gorgeous image

She is titled "Attitude means Everything" and you will find her here,  I have printed her onto white card then used my Tonic Square die to cut her out and a scalloped one for the mount. I used some snow writer foam on her collar and cuffs also on her ear muffs to. The sentiment is one from my stash thats been stamped onto white card and then cut out by a circle die and mounted on a punched out Snowflake.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white with a first mount of blue card and the paper is from the Sweetshoppe Designs its a blue background with snow on it and clouds. On top of this I have placed a diecut Fir tree which was cut with Marianne Die, and a used a Memory box border die of trees along the bottom.
I then placed my mounted image in the center and before adding the extra's I took a piece of white pearlescent card in a 7"x 7" size and used another of the Martha Stewart large Border and Corner dies to create the background which was then placed behind the first mount making the card larger.
To finish of I have cut out the ski's and sticks with a Marianne Die and placed to the right of the main image, the final flourish is the two layered snowflake at the top on the right and the sentiment on the left.

Good Morning Everyone, do you know its quite chilly here in Gloucestershire and its threatening rain yet again, I do wish it would make its mind up what the season really is, Im sure just hoping that it improves radically by the 18th as my eldest grandson is due to get married in Norfolk, and Ive also got two of my youngest daughters sons coming for a weeks holiday from the 11th so its going to be all go after next Saturday, just keep your fingers crossed the weather improves by then.
Anyway this weeks Sundays with Santa Challenge is all about "Layers" so Ive used this gorgeous "Silent Night" from The Paper Shelter and cut it out with a Rectangle Nestabilie Die, and then cut a larger one from red card for the mount, Ive also used some red ink and distressed the edges of the image with it.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount is a piece of red card, the papers I have used are all from Donna's Bearlymine Christmas design sets, I carnt give you the names as Ive actually mixed them up, the first one is a red background with holly wreaths on, for the second Ive used a striped one and a holly border and corner punch on, and for the third is sentiment paper and for this I have used the border punch and just done the one edge with it.
To finish of I have used three poinsetta flower in the top left hand corner and stuck them to the card with some silicone glue and punched out holly leaves. Ive not put a separate sentiment on but Im using the paper as one instead.

Guest Designer for Party Time Tuesdays

About a month ago we were invited to do a guest spot for Party Time Tuesday Challenge Blogspot by Danie, and several of both teams decided to give it a go, the Challenge is "Vintage/Shabby Chic" theme and I decided to take part with my fellow Team Leader Marie.
And here is my card.

I decided to use this gorgeous "Spring Breeze" image for my card and you will find that here, Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a square Nestabilitie Die to cut her out, for the mount I used the Leaf Square and used pink card for this.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and for my papers I have used "Victorian Beauty" and you will find them here.  The first paper is a very pretty pink patterned background which I have distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz tool and then on top I have used a green one and I have torn the edges on both sides to create a strip which was then placed down the middle. I then used some vintage lace across the center and vintage ribbon along the top both these were stuck to the back of the first mount,
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have tied a bow with some of the vintage ribbon and stuck to the left of the image and tucked a couple of hat pins behind it, and the last little flourish is the pink pearls down the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you go and visit Party Time Tuesday Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the team have created for you, and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this "Vintage/Shabby Chic" Challenge.

The Paper Shelters 63rd Challenge - "Anything Goes"

Good Morning Everyone, well I do hope that you had a lovely bank holiday weekend, mine was a busy one, hubby went and did his volunteer job with the local steam railway on Saturday and then on Sunday we did our monthly shop, not exactly exciting but at least a necessary job. Anyway this weeks Challenge for The Paper Shelter is "Anything Goes" I know how much us crafters enjoy this challenge and Im sure there will lots of entrants for it, and of course as always we are being sponsered by Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize.

And they are offering a prize of $20. to spend on their website The Paper Shelter, unfortunately to qualify for this prize you must have used one of their products on your card, but at least if you havent they are still offering a prize of 3 digi images of your own choice, so you really carnt loose with this Challenge.
And here is my card for this Challenge.

And for my card I have used "Little Miss Grumpy" and you will find her here, I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I cut her out with Nestabilitie Die Labels No.18 and then used the die again to draw around to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash which I though was quite appropriate for this little Madam.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount I have used is a deep purple card and on top I have used a backing paper that came actually with the image, so when you buy  the image you also receive this paper. I then used a doily cut with one of the Cheery Lynn Dies, this one is the Pastry one and I have inked the edges with one of my inkpads, then around the middle I wrapped two ribbons that have been attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then positioned in the centre and the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. I then cut out two swirls (which I have had for quite awhile) from the same purple card and these were positioned both sides of the image, I also used some of the left over paper (I actually printed out a second one) and with one of my rolled flower dies I created a flower for the top left hand corner which has been attached to the card with silicone glue on top of punched out leaves. The last flourish is the flower buttons that have had some ribbon threaded through the holes and tied in knots, these were stuck in the top let hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of my very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this weeks "Anything Goes" Challenge.

The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark purple card, and the two papers I have used are from Donna's "Spring Blossom" digi paper set and you will find them here. And now to get back to this weeks Challenge and for this one heres the photo Ive chosen, the bluebells are all ready coming out in this district and dont they smell gorgeous?

And here is the card I created for this challenge.

Isnt she beautiful, this image its called "Japanese Cute Doll" and you will find her here, Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used the oval Nestabilitie die to cut her out, then used the new Floral Oval from Spellbinders and mounted her onto it. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was also mounted onto a oval diecut.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a paper from the Papermania Oriental Papers, a very pretty pink paper with blossom on, Ive then used a tree diecut from Memory Box Dies with a fence diecut and positioned them in the left hand corner. Then I punched out some flowers and stuck them not only on the tree but also on the backing paper at the top.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope you will now go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot a see what the rest of the extremely talented Design Team have created for your inspiration, and hopefully you will take part in this "Photo Inspiration" Challenge.

The Paper Shelters 59th Challenge - "Buttons and Bows"

Good Morning Everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Easter, ours was a bit traumatic watching over a rather depressed little dog, shes having to wear a collar to stop her licking her feet and removing her stitches, shes already had to have one of her feet restitched and will now have to wait until next week before she can have them removed. Anyway back to this weeks Challenge over at The Paper Shelter Blogspot and for this one we want to see "Buttons and Bows" on your cards, and as always we are being sponsered by Veronica and Pedro,

and they are offering you $20. to spend on their website The Paper Shelter, thats providing you have used one of the gorgeous products on your card, but even if you havent they will still give you three digi images of your own choice.
Anyway I decided to use this little cutie,

isnt she gorgeous shes called "Cirque" and you will find her here, (this is an image that Ive had for awhile and not used) Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, afterwards I used the Oval Nestabilitie Die to cut her out, then mounted her onto the Crown Oval from Nestabilitie Dies. The sentiment is one of the CC stamps and this has also been mounted on some of the left over green card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green card and one of three papers from the "Victorian Beauty" papers and you will find them here. The first paper is a cream background with roses on and the second a pretty pink paper thats been mounted across the card, and then for the third one Ive used a green background one. Then around the card I have wrapped a piece of lace with a piece of green seam binding ribbon thats been tied into a triple bow.
The mounted image was then stuck in the middle with the sentiment below on the right, to finish of I have stuck small flower buttons around the image on the crown points, and with some of the left over paper I used a Die-namics rolloed flower die to cut them out and created a flower thats been mounted in the top right hand corner on some punched out leaves.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that your will go across to The Paper Shelter Blogspot and see what the rest of my very talented Design Team have created for you, and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this weeks "Buttons and Bows" Challenge.

The Paper Shelters 57th Challenge - "Easter"

Good Morning Everyone, well yet another week has flown by and we are almost in April and the holdiay season, so we thought we would get ahead of the game and devote this weeks challenge to "Easter" so hopefully it will give your lots of time to get your cards done and into the post for all little ones you make for.
And of course this week as always we are being sponsered by our very talented and generous couple Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter and they are offering

a $20. gift Voucher to spend on the Website The Paper Shelter, and this is providing you have used one of their stunning images or other products on your card, but even if you havent they will still offer you three digi images of your own choice, you just carnt loose with this Challenge.
And here is my card for this Challenge

And this little chap (from last years designs) is called the "Easter Bunny" and you will find it here, Ive printed him onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour him, afterwards I used the Nestabilitie Egg Die to cut him out then drew around the die to create the mount for it out of dark blue card. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and for my papers I have used the "Easter" papers from The Paper Shelter and you will find them here, this first paper is a pretty pink background with a design of easter eggs along the bottom, I then used another of the papers and one of the Cheery Lynn Doily dies which I have cut out and placed behind the mount image, but before sticking it down I wrapped a easter egg ribbon around the card and attached it to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then stuck in the centre and to finish of I have used the border Nestabilitie die and cut a strip out and rolled it into a flower (top tip), which I then stuck to the card on top of some punched out  holly leaves.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and I do hope you will all visit their own blogs and leave them some love as they really do work hard to create this beautiful cards and Im so lucky to have them on my "A" Team. I do hope that you will take part in this "Easter" Challenge.
