Challenge #4 - Cards for Men - "Wintertime"

Good Morning Crafters, well I hope youve all enjoyed a restful weekend and at least most of the snow has gone and now lets hope it stays that way, but for this weeks Challenge we do still want to see your winter designs its called "Wintertime" so dont put those stamps away just yet.
For this Challenge we are being sponsored by Freshly Brewed Designs:-

and Heather is offering a $10. Gift Voucher to spend on her website and here is what she says about herself and her company.

Hi. I am Heather Dennis. I am a homeschooling mother of 2 wonderful children, the wife of 12 years to the love of my life, a Christian and the owner of Fresh Brewed Designs. I have loved to draw and create ever since I was a child. My daughter has inherited my love of art and recently inspired me to start creating again.
All the images in my shop are hand drawn. I offer a wide range of images from coffee, cute and inspirational. I also love to create custom drawn images, so if you are looking for anything in particular, please feel free to drop me an email.

And we were lucky enough to be given several images to play with and I decided to use this one.

And this is called "Snowman Hide and Seek" and you will find it here on the Freshly Brewed Designs Website. I have printed them onto white card and then used my copic pens to colour it afterwards I used a square Nestabilitie Die to cut it out and then used the Marvellous Squares for the mount. The sentiment is a Just-Rite circle stamp and the snowflake die mount is a Whimsey one.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and the papers I have used are from the Lili of the Valley "Christmas" paper set, both are with snowflake and tree designs in blue and white.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and then I hope you will want to take part in this "Wintertime" Challenge.

Challenge #95 - The Paper Shelter - "Winter Blues"

Good Morning Crafters, its the start of a New Year for the "A" Team over at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and already we are on the second Challenge of the year and for this one we want to see lots of "Blues" on your card, its called "Winter Blues" so I guess if youve not had snow yet its possible its on the horizon for a lot of us, so keep your fingers crossed it doesnt stay to long.
But before I go any further two of my Design Team members have decided to step down and they are Marcea immediately and Shirin Lim from the end of this weeks Challenge, its a sad time for us but we understand that they are having problems and need time out to sort things out. But we do have two special ex Design Team members who have offered to do a Guest Designer post and they are Paola and Louise so thank you girls for stepping in at such short notice.
As always our very generous sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a wonderful prize of $30.

But as always this is only if you have used one of the products on your card, there is lots to chose from so why dont you go over to their Website and browse for yourself. Even if you dont use one of them they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, you carnt ask for better than that can you. Dont forget you are only allowed to enter the Challenge 3 times and one of those must have a TPS product on it, other than that you are free to do your own thing.
And now I want to show you what I have done for this Challenge and here it is.

For my image I have used the "Snow Angel" and printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used the Nestabilitie Labels Die No.8 to cut her out and the Decorative one for the mount. The sentiment is a Whimsey one and Ive used their Snowflake mount for it to.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for the first mount I have used a piece of blue card and one of Donna's Bearlymine Winter Papers, on top of this I have used a piece of the web ribbon and along the bottom I have used the Memory box border and corner dies with some white pearlescent card.
The mounted image was then placed in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the talented "A" Design Team plus a very special Guest Designer have created for your inspiration, and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Winter Blues" Challenge.

Challenge #23 - Cards for Men - "Anything Goes"

Good Morning Crafters, and happy Bonfire day to all those who are planning one today or later this week I hope the weather is kind to you, though the last weekend here has been extremely wet so no doubt the bonfire will have suffered. But back to todays Challenge, this fortnight we are being sponsored by:-

Kitty is offering a prize of :- £10 Gift Voucher

and this is what she says about her company:-

My Mums Craft Shop is a bricks & mortar and online store. We stock many of the leading brands and specialise in rubber stamping. We have brands including Some Odd Girl, Stamping Bella, My Favorite Things, CC Designs and many more. We also stock a large selection of Dienamics, Memory Box, Sizzix, CC Designs Marianne Dies. We constantly have new deliveries arriving, check out our website for more products - www.mymumscraftshop.co.uk

And the theme this time is a great favourite with everyone its "Anything Goes" so no excuse for getting out of this one, the only thing we ask is that the card is suitable for the male of the species so it can be for man or boy, and here is the card I made.

And the image I have used is a Saturated Canary one its called "Give Big Boy" and you will find it here, Ive printed him onto white card then used my favourite copic pens to colour him, afterwards I used Nestabilitie die No.8 to cut him out then used the metal die to draw around to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount I have used blue card and the papers are from Echo Parks "Boys Life" paper pad, the first a blue background with airplanes, balloons and flags on, and for my second I have used a red background with letters on, and the third yet another blue background with racing cards on.
The mounted image was then placed at an angle with the sentiment underneath in the bottom left hand corner. To finish of I have used a Whimsey Flag die to create the corner in the top right.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and then I hope you will also take part in this "Anything Goes" Challenge.

A Card for Saturated Canary "Anything Goes" Challenge

Good Morning Everyone, well at least so far today its dry here, Im hoping it will stay that way as Ive got to take the dog for a walk after lunch and also perhaps have a go at cutting the grass, hubby is voluntering today with the local Steam Railway and with luck weve been having lately its likely to turn nasty again tomorrow if we leave it.
I was lucky enough to be picked for top 3 at Saturated Canary this week and I thought as it was a "Anything Goes" challenge I would take part again as I seemed to have been rather lapse in joining in the challenges lately. This gorgeous image is "Cinders" dont you feel sorry for her left to do the housework? Not something us crafters like to do, anyway Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die No.4 to cut her out, then used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is one of the CC ones thats been treated in the same was as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of blue card for this card I have used four papers from the "Simply Sassy" digi paper set from Sweet Shoppe Digi Downloads, the first paper is a blue spot, then on top is a green one that I cut into a strip and used one of the Martha Stewart Border punches on, then on top is a third paper thats also been mounted on a piece of the same blue card. The final paper is a lilac one thats been cut with the new "Whimsey" double Scallop Die that I bought from Tracy at "Dies to Die" for, she wanted to see what I would do with it, so here you are Tracy, hope you like it.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, to finish of I have used five roses of different sizes with some punched out green leaves with yet another paper from the same paper set, these were then stuck to the top left hand corner with some silicone glue.
