Challenge #186 - Pink Gem Designs - "Hearts and Flowers"

Good Morning Gemsters, Well over on Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot its time for the Pink Team to have their first Challenge of 2017 and for this one its all about "Hearts and Flowers" and Janet is so talented that she has a wide selection of Images to play with.
For this Challenge we are being sponsored by Pink Gem Designs (Janet Roberts) and here is her website to browse it really has a wide selection of images for you to play with not just for children but now grownups and us oldies to.

And now for the card I created

This little girl is "Love Heart Teddy" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I cut her out with a Nestabilitie square die and a Heart one for the mount out of red card.
The sentiment was one I had in my stash and stamped her and then cut and mounted it with a smaller heart die.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of red card and the papers are from the "Sweetheart" papers and you will find them here. I have several of the papers and then cut heart leaf sprays for the top and bottom opposite corners, I did also mount my image towards the top in the center, and then I used the left over paper to cut out the flowers from one of the Sue Wilson flower dies and stuck them on top of the leaf sprays.
And to finish of I have stuck two red pearls in the top left hand corner and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented design team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Hearts and Flowers" Challenge.

A Card for Saturated Canary "Anything Goes" Challenge

Good Morning Everyone, well at least so far today its dry here, Im hoping it will stay that way as Ive got to take the dog for a walk after lunch and also perhaps have a go at cutting the grass, hubby is voluntering today with the local Steam Railway and with luck weve been having lately its likely to turn nasty again tomorrow if we leave it.
I was lucky enough to be picked for top 3 at Saturated Canary this week and I thought as it was a "Anything Goes" challenge I would take part again as I seemed to have been rather lapse in joining in the challenges lately. This gorgeous image is "Cinders" dont you feel sorry for her left to do the housework? Not something us crafters like to do, anyway Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die No.4 to cut her out, then used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is one of the CC ones thats been treated in the same was as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of blue card for this card I have used four papers from the "Simply Sassy" digi paper set from Sweet Shoppe Digi Downloads, the first paper is a blue spot, then on top is a green one that I cut into a strip and used one of the Martha Stewart Border punches on, then on top is a third paper thats also been mounted on a piece of the same blue card. The final paper is a lilac one thats been cut with the new "Whimsey" double Scallop Die that I bought from Tracy at "Dies to Die" for, she wanted to see what I would do with it, so here you are Tracy, hope you like it.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, to finish of I have used five roses of different sizes with some punched out green leaves with yet another paper from the same paper set, these were then stuck to the top left hand corner with some silicone glue.

A Card for Sunday's with Santa - "Family"

Good Afternoon All, I do hope youve all had a good week and looking forward to this weekend, unfortunately the weather doesnt look as if its going to be particularly nice, but you can always live in hope. We are still having to take our dog to the vets every couple of days, as on Wednesday we found her limping and it turned out her leg had become swollen, so now she sports not only a collar but also a bandage boot on her left back leg, weve also been told it will probably be another week before she will be able to have the stitches out, which makes it almost 3 weeks since she had her operation,  not what we were expecting.
Anyway back to the card Ive posted today, this is for this weeks Sunday's with Santa on Faceboon Challenge and this week they want a "Family" one, and I decided this sweet LOV image was quite appropriate for it, Ive stamped it onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens, then used Nestabilitie die labels No.17 to cut it out and then drew around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is one of the Polka Doodles Xmas stamps that I got as a freebie with one of my craft magazines.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, and the papers I have used are Nitwits "Frost n Flakes" digi paper set, the first paper is a snowflake design and I then used a sentiment paper and my large Memory Box Snowflake die and punched out two of them and stuck them to the first mount, then used a corner die from the same company and these were stuck in the two opposite corners. I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side.

The Paper Shelters 53rd Challenge - "Fancy Folds"

Good Morning Everyone, I hate to say it but weve reached another Challenge here at The Paper Shelter and this time its a "Fancy Folds" not always easy to start with, but Im sure you will get the old brains rattling and find one that suits you. Anyway as always our very generous sponsers are Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter.

And they are offering a fabulous prize of $20. to spend on their website, thats providing you have used one of their images, but even if you havent they are giving you 3 digis of your own choice to play with, its definitely a win win situation, you just carnt loose.
And here is my card for this "Fancy Folds" Challenge.

For my image I have used this sweet "Fairy of the Cookies" image and you will find her here, and coloured her with my copic pens, then used Nestabilie Label Die No.1 to cut her out, Ive inked around the edge and layered it up onto a larger mount cut with the same die.
The main card is a diamond top folded card, and for the bottom I have used the same coloured turquoise card with the papers from the "Bewitched Night" digi set and you will find there here. The first paper is a striped one in shades of turquoise, then on top I have used a pink patterned one and then along both edges one of my Martha Stewart Lace border punches, then wrapped a ribbon with a ribbon tag (Nestabilie die) threaded through the two holes and attached it to the back of the first mount. I also stamped a sentiment on another piece of white card, cut it out and stuck it to the ribbon tag.
The top diamond shape has had two of the same piece of patterned paper that I used on the bottom but cut in squares and the same border punch design but this time a corner punch has been used on all the corners, layered up and then stuck to the base diamond shape mount and stuck to the diamond shape making sure that the mounted image was facing the right way (oh the times Ive got that wrong, I wont go into that).
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Paper Shelters Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of my extremely talented "A" Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will also take part in this "Fancy Folds" Challenge.

Ive printed the image onto white card then used my copic's to colour it, and cut it out with the Nestabilitie Rectangle Die, and then used a larger one for the mount. I then used a pen to create a stitched edge on it. The sentiment was created on the computer and printed out and mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 7"x 5" white card with a first mount of red card, the papers I have used are from the Papermania "For Men" paper set, the first one being a red patterned paper then on top is a check on. I then positioned my mounted in the centre and the sentiment below. To finish of Ive used three red buttons with some bakers twine threaded through the holes and tied in a knot.

Morning Ladies, we are having a two week Design Team Call on The Paper Shelter, it will run for two weeks and there wont be the normal Challenge, so if your interested in joining our very talented Design Teams please do take part in it.
If your interersted you will need to use a digi image on your card and please dont add to many embellishments as we really need to see your ability in colouring your image and the best way to do that is not be influenced by all the extras. The DT Call is running for two weeks and while its on there wont be a Challenge so all you will need to do is add your card on the Challenge blog and we will be visiting your blogs to see your work. The Paper Shelter is one of the most generous companies and you will receive all the brand new images, papers and accessories during your 6 month contract, which will start from February 8st and end on July 31st, we are actually looking for 7 new team members to join us.
And here is one of the gorgeous images you might well get a chance to play with if you are picked and its the first time Ive used it to, this is "Beautiful Mermaid" and you will find her here, isnt she gorgeous Ive used my copics and tria pens to colour her and then used the Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 to cut her out, then used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment (top tip) is one I found on the interenet and printed it onto a piece of white card then mounted it on a piece of blue.
The papers I have used for a change are by Nitwits and its their Gone Fishing digi set, I have used three papers and some muslin which I have layered up then wrapped a piece of dark blue lace (new stash) across the card and attached it to the back of the first layer.
The mounted image was then positioned in the centre with the sentiment is at the bottom on the right handside.
If you are interested in taking part in our Design Team Call you will find it on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot, please do go across and see for yourself what is involved.

The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green pearlescent card, on top I have used two papers from "Sweet Gardener" Papers and you will find them here, the first paper is all over green background with flowers on, then I used a blue paper and cut it into a 5" square and with the flower corner and border punch have created a square that was stuck on top. I then cut out a doily with one of the Cheery Lynn dies and distressed it with a little yellow ink and then positioned towards the right hand side of the second layer.
I then wrapped a piece of lace and yellow ribbon across my card and attached to the back of the first mount, the mounted image was then positioned in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right.

Anyway todays challenge is "A Receipe" and we want you to use 3 Flowers, 2 Buttons and 1 Ribbon on your card, and Im sure that wont be a difficult task as most of us use these on all our cards. This time I  am using the gorgeous Kim Sponaugle's "Picture Kitchen Studio" images and papers and if you would like to visit Kim's Cuddly Buddly Webshop you will be able to see the whole range of stunning images and papers she has created, heres the link for you, I would also like to let you know that not only does Kim sell digi products but also anything a crafter could desire and she also has a lot of freebies to give away, please do go and visit her shop and see for yourself.
And here is my card for this weeks Challenge.
For my card I have used the "Cupcake Fairy" and you will find it here I have printed her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.22 to cut her out then used the die itself to draw around to create the mount for her. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was just stamped onto white card ready for me to mould around the cupcake die cut.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, on top of this is my first paper of three that I have used these are again "Picture Kitchen Studio's Multi Fairy Fun"digi papers and you will find there here, I used a white background paper with pink swirls on for the first one, then on top is a large spotted one on which I have used a cupcake border punch from Martha Stewart on the edge, and the third paper a small spotted one and Ive done the same to that edge to, these were layered up on top of one another. Then on top of these I have used a piece of the same pink card as the mount to run through my cuttlebug with a cupcake embossing folder, this was then stuck down on top of the two other papers.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle and I then cut out from a bit more pink card a cupcake case and for the top I used a piece of white pearlescent card, and of course for the candle a smaller piece of the pink again. I then moulded the sentiment around the case and used some stickles on the topping to create hundreds and thousands. To finish off I used a lace ribbon flower with beads in for my ribbon embellishment in the top left hand corner, and with a couple of cupcake buttons I finished of the card in the two opposite corners.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Cuddly Buddly Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of a extremely talented team have created to inspire you hopefully to take part in this weeks Challenge.

I then wrapped a check ribbon around the middle twice and attached them to the back of the first mount and created a blue check knot which I have placed between the two. Cuddly Buddly's Challenge 13 - "Big it Up!" add BIG Number or Letter

Good Morning Everyone, it does seem strange to be home its been such a busy few days and trying to get back to normal is taking time, and of course we went to pick up our baby yesterday and she was so excited to see us, but now shes feeling a little down and is limping a bit, not sure whats shes done and if it doesnt improve today a trip to the vets I think is called for. Anyway back to this weeks Challenge from Cuddly Buddly we want to see "A BIG Number or Letter" on your cards and its my turn this time to use Kim's own beautiful images and papers and I chose one of the "Eliza and Bro" images called "Birthday Girl" and created a card for our little granddaughter who will be the big "4" next year, you will find the image here in the Cuddly Buddly Webshop.
Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, then cut her out with Nestabilitie Die Labels 8 and then drawn around the same die to create the mount out of pink card. The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and one of three beautiful papers from Kim's "Cottage Garden, Poppy" digi paper Collection and you will find them here. The first one is a very pretty pink background with daisies on, and on top is a strip of pink card with the second paper a pink and white spotted paper. And with the last one which is a pretty lace pattern I have used one of the Cherry Lynn Doily Dies and stuck it down just under the mount going down the card.
I then wrapped a beautiful piece of white lace around the middle with a pink heart ribbon along the top and stuck it to the back of the first mount. I then positioned my image in the centre and created a badge Sentiment with a large number 4 on my computer in My Craft Studio graphics program and cut it out with one of the circle nestabilitie dies, then used a larger one for the mount. I did use some glitter on the number though it isnt to easy to see. To finish of Ive used some of the left over paper to create the rolled flowers in the top left hand corner which have been attached to the card with silicone glue on top of some punched out leaves.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Cuddly Buddly Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the very talented team have created for you and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this "Big it Up" Challenge this week.
This card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-
