Cards for Men - Challenge 3 - "Seeing Red"

Good Morning Everyone, I just carnt believe that already another fortnight has flown by and weve now reached out third Challenge over on the Cards for Men and this time we are being sponsered by Letreset,

and this what they say about themselves :-

And they have offered a fabulous prize:-

And here is my card for this "Seeing Red" Challenge.

For my card Ive used this gorgeous "Football Bo" image for my card and coloured him with my promarkers and tria pens, I then cut him out with my Nestabilitie Labels Die No.17 and drawn around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is one I created on my computer and printed it out and mounted it on a piece of red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount Ive used red card and two free downloads I found on the internet, the first one is a red background with footballs on and the second is a strip of white with more footballs on this was punched on the two sides with a Martha Steward punch.
I then wrapped around the middle a white football ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount, and positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. For my final flourish I have stuck two football buttons and a boot down the right hand side at the top.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you will go and visit what the rest of the very talented design team have created for your inspiration over on the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and I hope you will also take part in this "Seeing Red" Challenge.
This card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

The Paper Shelter - "Swirls and Pearls"

Good Afternoon Everyone, Ive just been interrupted by Ian bringing Missy home and she was wet, muddy and guess what weve just had to do, yes youve got it "Bath Her" not that she was to happy about it buts shes a lot cleaner and smells lovely. Now shes running around like a looney rubbing herself along the walls and furniture. Anyway I thought for a change I would create a card not that I will be entering it in the TPS Challenge but as Ive been rather quiet this week I felt I ought to make an effort and make a card.
This is a new TPS image its titled "100% Cute" its she gorgeous and you will find her here, Ive printed her onto white card and coloured her with my copic  pens, then cut her out with my Nestabilitie Die Labels No.9 then drawn around the die to create the mount, the sentiment is one of the CC ones thats been mounted onto a piece of mauve card.
The card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of mauve card and the paper that comes with the image that has been printed and mounted on top of the mount. I then used a Doo Hickey Swirl die to create the swirls and two tonic dies to create the flowers, In the centres I have stuck some pearls and down the side at the bottom on the left.

A Card for Saturated Canarys "Diecuts and Punches" Challenge

Good Morning Everyone, Ive created this card firstly for a new Sugar Nellie Challenge on Facebook and I also thought Id combine it with a challenge on Saturated Canary, the SN one is for colour and the second is diecuts and punches, and as Ive used both on this card I think it qualifies for both. Ive used this sweet little Sassy Girl stamp with her books, (name escapes me at the moment) and Ive coloured her with my copic and prisma pencils, then cut it out with my oval Nestabilitie Die, the mount was one I was sent by my lovely friend Tracy of Dies to Die For (Just found it, Its the New Swedish Oval and you will find it here), and Ive no idea what its called Ive emailed her and I hope she lets me know as its a lovely die. The sentiment is yet another from my stash.
The main card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card then Ive used three papers from the Authentique "Uncommon" Paper pack, the first paper a cream background with roses on, the second a grey paper with print on which I cut into a strip and used on of my Martha Steward border punches on, the third mount is yet another paper but this one is in a circle and diamond pattern with a combination of all the papers on it.
I then positioned my image towards the left hand side with the sentiment at the bottom on the right.

The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card Ive used two of the Spring Swing papers to layer up, along the bottom is the new Memory Box Spring Border punch and Ive cut this out with a bit more of the same pink card, around the middle I have wrapped a piece of lace and a stripe of grosgrain pink patterned ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.

The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark blue card and one the papers from Bo Bunny's "Blast Off" papers, this one has spacemen and stars all over it, on top I have used a star Nestabilitie die to create several different sized stars that were arranged around the this first paper then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment on the left hand side at the bottom.

A Card for Crafters Companion "Love is in the Air" Challenge

Good Morning Everyone, well it was another frosty morning and Ive just got back from taking Missy for a walk and luckily the ground was so solid I did get muddy for a change. Anyway todays card has been created for the Crafters Companion "Love is in the Air" Challenge and Ive used this new image from Strawberry Kisses for my image, arnt they just so cute, mind you not every dog will accept a cat but luckily our little girl would, Ive coloured it with my copics then used the Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut it out and the same for the mount. The sentiment is the one that actually comes with this image so was just right for my challenge card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and Ive used one of the papers from the CD that comes with the images a very pretty pink, red and blue background, then on top I have used my Cheery Lynn heart die to create the two large hearts and the new Memory Box Corner die to lay on top. To finish of Ive used four heart gems and popped them in the two opposite corners.

A Card or the Teddy Bo Challenge - "Anything Goes"

Good Afternoon Everyone, well gues what the sun is out and it looks gorgeous out there and a lot better than first thing this morning which was a world of white, heavy frost. Anyway today Ive created a card for the Teddy Bo "Anything Goes" Challenge and Ive used this super hero Teddybo image and Ive coloured it with my copic pens then used the Nestabilitie Die Labels No.17 to cut it out then used the die again for the mount (top tip). The sentiment was created on my computer and printed it and mounted it with a piece of red card thats used elsewhere on it.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and then three papers Ive used are from the Wild Rose "For Men" paper set, and the sketch was one I found on the internet not sure whose it is but thought it was just right for a male card.

Design Team Call on The Paper Shelter

Morning Ladies, we are having a two week Design Team Call on The Paper Shelter, it will run for two weeks and there wont be the normal Challenge, so if your interested in joining our very talented Design Teams please do take part in it.
If your interersted you will need to use a digi image on your card and please dont add to many embellishments as we really need to see your ability in colouring your image and the best way to do that is not be influenced by all the extras. The DT Call is running for two weeks and while its on there wont be a Challenge so all you will need to do is add your card on the Challenge blog and we will be visiting your blogs to see your work. The Paper Shelter is one of the most generous companies and you will receive all the brand new images, papers and accessories during your 6 month contract, which will start from February 8st and end on July 31st, we are actually looking for 7 new team members to join us.
And here is one of the gorgeous images you might well get a chance to play with if you are picked and its the first time Ive used it to, this is "Beautiful Mermaid" and you will find her here, isnt she gorgeous Ive used my copics and tria pens to colour her and then used the Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 to cut her out, then used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment (top tip) is one I found on the interenet and printed it onto a piece of white card then mounted it on a piece of blue.
The papers I have used for a change are by Nitwits and its their Gone Fishing digi set, I have used three papers and some muslin which I have layered up then wrapped a piece of dark blue lace (new stash) across the card and attached it to the back of the first layer.
The mounted image was then positioned in the centre with the sentiment is at the bottom on the right handside.
If you are interested in taking part in our Design Team Call you will find it on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot, please do go across and see for yourself what is involved.

Sunday's with Santa "Anything Goes"

Good Morning Everyone, are you ready for a new week? well as always I seem to be getting behind with everything and that is why Ive not posted anything since last Wednesday, Ive been trying to get ahead with my DT work and so although youve not seen what Ive been making I have been a busy girl. Today I thought that it was time to post a card and this was one I created for last weeks "Sundays with Santa" its a facebook challenge started up by Pops and its to try and get together a good stock of Christmas cards for this December, and as last years lot of all gone I thought well why not so here we are.
This image is one of the LOV stamps and Ive coloured him with my copics then used Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut him out, and then used the same die to create the mount, the sentiment is one that I got free in one of my craft magazines and have mounted it in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a mount of blue pearlescent card, and for my two papers I have used the Maja "Vintage Winter" designs, this was a present from a very special friend of mine, and they are gorgeous and lovely for a card for a male. I then wrapped a sentiment ribbon around the card and attached it to the back.
Then I positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. Ive not added anything else as I dont think men particulary like to many embellishments on their cards and I wanted to leave it simple.

The 45# Challenge for The Paper Shelter - "Anything Goes"

Good Morning Everyone, well we are into a brand new year and we have already reached our fortyfifth Challenge and for this one I know its your most favourite "Anything Goes" so Im sure lots of you will want to take part. As always our fabulous sponsers are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering you a prize of

to spend in their webshop, and I carnt help saying that their images, papers and accessories are gorgeous and are well worth visiting as they are such good value, and this is why to win this Certificate all we ask is that you use one of their products on your card, but even if you dont they are still going to let you pick 3 images of your own choice, you carnt help but be aware of the generousity.

Anyway back to my card for this weeks Challenge I have chosen "A Smart Snowhite" for my image

and you will find her here, Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.15 and after cutting out I used the die again to create the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green pearlescent card, on top I have used two papers from "Sweet Gardener" Papers and you will find them here, the first paper is all over green background with flowers on, then I used a blue paper and cut it into a 5" square and with the flower corner and border punch have created a square that was stuck on top. I then cut out a doily with one of the Cheery Lynn dies and distressed it with a little yellow ink and then positioned towards the right hand side of the second layer.
I then wrapped a piece of lace and yellow ribbon across my card and attached to the back of the first mount, the mounted image was then positioned in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right.
With some left over paper I used a Die-namics Gardenier die to create a rolled flower which was stuck to the top on the left hand side on some punched out leaves.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit the rest of my very talented "A" Team have for your inspiration and I do hope that you will take part in this weeks "Anything Goes" Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Blogspot.

Cards for Men - Challenge 1 - "Recycling"

Good Morning Everyone, and a Happy New Year to you all, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are already to start crafting again, I know I am so for our first Challenge this year we want to see you "Recycling" something, and Im sure you must have lots of things around the house that can be used either as a project or perhaps on your card. Anyway we are being sponsered by "One Stop Card Shop"

and they are offering you a Gift Certificate of £10. to spend in the webshop, and here is what they say about themselves:-

Free postage is quite a rarity so I think it would be a good idea to give them a visit. And now here is my project for this Challenge.
I have used an empty Sudocream pot to create a store for all bits and bobs men seem to hoard.
I actually printed two sheets of paper from the My Craft Studio Steampunk set of designs, and wrapped the first one around the pot and stuck it down, then I used some silver trimmings around the bottom.
For the lid I cut out a circle and then cut lots of slits to mould around the lid and stuck them underneath, and Ive used a bit more of the silver rimmings around the rim. To finish of the lid I used a cog left from the front and stuck a large nut in the centre for a means of removing the lid. To finish of the front of my pot Ive used several cogs cut out with the Nestabilitie Tim Holtz cog set, and burnished them with some old gold cream and stuck them to the bottom of the pot for some texture.
I do hope that now youve seen my project for this "Recycling" Challenge I do hope that you will go and visit our Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and maybe you will also want to take part in this Challenge.

Happy Christmas everyone

Just want to wish you all a Very Happy Christmas.....

I have a list of people
All written in a book -
And every year at Christmas time
I go and take a look.
And that is when I realise
That those names are all a part -
Not of the book they're written in
But of my very heart.
For each name stands for someone
Who has crossed my path some time -
And in that meeting they've become
A treasured friend of mine.
And once you've met some people
The years can not erase -
The memory of a pleasant word
Or of a friendly face.
So when I send an email
That is addressed to you -
It's because you're on that 'Special List'
Of folk I am indebted to.
And you are one of several folk
In times past that I've met -
And happen to be one of those
I don't want ever to forget.
And whether I have known you
For many years or few -
In some way you have had a part
In shaping things I do.
So this the Spirit of Christmas
That forever still endures
May it leave its richest blessing
In the hearts of you and yours.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and I will see you here afterwards.

Good Morning Everyone, well its only days away to Christmas I do hope that youve nearly finished all your shopping, I have a bit of greengrocery to get then I shall be all ready for the big day. Hubby and I will be spending the day quietly with our dog Missy and perhaps if we feel up to it we shall take her for a walk after lunch. Anyway before I go any further I have some rather sad news Donna has decided to suspend The Bearlymine Designs Challenges for now as shes still unable to take part in them herself and she feels that she needs time to recoup her strength and I sincerely hope that wont be to long, but only time will tell as shes having great problems with her hands at the moment. Thank You Donna for giving me the chance to be on your team and all your beautiful digi paper work, get well quickly.
And now to get back to this last Challenge its one that I know everyone loves as its rather a free for all and that is "Anything Goes" and for this one we are being sponsered by the following companies:-

There are some really awesome prizes on offer there so Im sure you will want to take part in this Challenge, and here is my DT card I made for it.

For my image I have used The Paper Shelters "Holynight" and coloured it with my copic and tria pens before cutting it out with the Nestabilitie Rectangle die, and then used the Heart Square in lilac pearlescent card for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash thats been mounted on a piece of the same lilac card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount I have used the same lilac card and one of two papers from Donna's "Christmas Fun" Bearlymine Digi's Paper Sets, this first paper is a lovely mix of lilac and blue and on top is a deeper mauve with a snowflake design on and Ive cut a 5" square then used the snowflake border and corner punch from Marth Stewart, then on top I have used a dark mauve ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle and on the two edges I have used some Ironwork Accents from Nestabilities that have been cut out of the same lilac card and clipped on the edge of the heart square. To finish of Ive used a hellibore and two fir cones in a floral spray stuck to the card with silicone glue on some punched out holly leaves.
Now that youve seen my card please do go and visit The Bearlymine Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and perhaps you will also want to take part in this "Anything Goes" Challenge which will last for 4 weeks because of all the Christmas festivities and will finish on the 16th January, 2012.

Our Design Teams have worked very hard and are showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter Website and on each blog on the hop we are offering one lucky commenter a digi of their own choice.

For my Card in this "Its a Celebration" Challenge and Blog Hop I have used this "Happy Birthday to Me" image and you will find it here,  I have used my copics and tria pens to colour it, then used Nestabilitie Label Die No.23 to cut it out, afterwards I used the die again to draw around to create the mount for it out of deep pink card. The sentiment is one of the Stampin Up Stamps and I treated it in the same was as my image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of deep pink card and then on top I have used one of three "Birthday Cupcake" digi papers and you will find them here, the first one is a very pretty pink patterned paper, and on top I have used a pink paper and along both sides I have used a Martha Stewart parcel border punch along both edges, then for my third paper which has been mounted on more of the pink card Ive used a pink background with a swirl pattern on it.
The mounted image was then positioned in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, to finish of I have used some of the left over paper and created three rolled flowers cut with the Dia-namics die and have stuck them to my in the top right hand corner on some punched out leaves.

Bearlymine Designs Challenge Twentyfive - "Untraditional Christmas"

Good Morning Everyone, well yet another fortnight has flown by and weve now reached our Twentyfifth Challenge at Bearlymine Designs and this one we want to see "Untraditional Colours" on your card. The news on poor Donna is still uncertain, but I do want to wish her good luck that things will soon return to normal for her, as Im sure she really must be very frustrated with things. Anyway back to this fortnights Challenge and this time we are being sponsered by the following companies:-

Theres some really fabulous prizes there and Im sure you will want a chance of winning one of them. And here is my card for this Challenge.
The Design Team was lucky to be able to choose a image for this Challenge and I chose this "Gingerbread Bo" from Teddybo for my card, Ive coloured him with copics and tria pens then cut him out with Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 then used the same die to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one of the Flourishes circle stamps and Ive treated it in the same way as the mounted image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and Ive cut it with the Grand Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 and then cut a mount out of blue card and for my papers I have used Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Christmas Wishes" digi paper set, the first paper has lots of gingerbread men (I thought it was ideal for this image) and I cut this to fit like the first mount. The second and third papers have been cut into 5" squares and then Ive used my Martha Stewart Aspen Snowflake border and corner punches on them, then placed them on top of the first paper in an of set manner, the patterns on both were firstly a snowflake and the second was a sentiment one. Then around the middle I have wrapped a gingerbread ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have put three little pom poms on his gingerbread suit just for a bit of texture.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will now visit the Bearlymine Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this "Untraditional Christmas" Challenge.
