A Card for the Aurora Wings "No Lines Challenge"

Good Morning fellow Crafters, it looks like another beautiful day again the sun is out and its still quite warm, our dog loves the early morning sunshine and here she is sitting by the back gate taking in the rays.
Mind you she always runs in to welcome me when I come down in the morning then runs outside yet again to enjoy it.
Todays card has been created with such a lot of difficulty I tried twice with the Fushia Sprite but the dark colours were difficult to lay without the lines they kept going over the edge and looked awful so in the bin they went, and I thought I would try something a little lighter and this "Dandelion" Sprite is the result.
I took her into My Craft Studio and faded out the lines printed it and coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.34 to cut it out and a Fancy one for the mount from the same Die shape our of green card.
The card is a 6.50"x 6.50" and the first mount is green card, the paper I created myself with Phil Martins "Dandelion Whispers" background stamp by using clear inkpad and details embossing powder and used the heat gun to set it, afterwards I used yellow mica powder and rubbed it all over the embossed background and rubbed of the excess.
I then stuck it to the base mount and cut a 5" square green card and with a Dandelion Embossing Folder from Crafters Companion Embossalicious range and ran it through my ebosser. I then placed this onto of the first layer and wrapped a piece of green net ribbon around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount. I then placed my mounted image in the center of the middle mount.
To finish of I diecut three Dandelions with the Tattered Lace Die and placed them around the mounted image in the center.

Aurora Wings "Butterfly" Challenge

Good Afternoon, well today has been beautiful I was wondering if it might happen as we had a fabulous lightening storm last night and I watched it through the living room window for quite awhile. Anyway the poor dog had a short walk this afternoon and found it just to much for her little feet so we cut it short and came home again so I could get this card finished.
I started it a week ago and didnt get very far as I had other things to sort out and as you can see I have put those behind and got on to finishing it, its one of the gorgeous Aurora Wings images and you will find her here, please do go and visit the website as she is such a talented lady and really does create beautiful images so you can play with them.
I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a Tonic die to cut her out and a scalloped one for the mount, the leaf border is yet another of the Tonic dies and I have placed it on top of the mounted image.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of lilac card and the paper is one from Nitwits and I have then placed on top and used a piece of the same lilac card and ran it through my ebosser with a butterfly embossing folder. And of course this is my favourite colour choice so I love to use it on my cards.
On top I have placed a strip of web ribbon and another of Satin and then tucked behind the first mount. I then stuck my image in the middle and the last flourish is the butterfly from Tattered Lace which I folded and stuck in the top left hand corner.

A Card for Sundays with Santa "A Card for a Child"

Good Morning Crafters, well I dont know if you heard it in your neck of the woods but at 1.30 am this morning there was a torrential downpour of rain yet again and it woke both hubby and myself up, its getting like a jungle in my garden as the grass and everything else is growing so fast, even the Forest is already over grown with ferns, I dont think theres enough sheep to chomp it down, the wild boar dont even touch that just turns over the grass instead, and of course its causing a lot of trouble when it gets into playing fields and gardens as you can image they do terrible damage. Now they want to cull them, not sure how they got dumped but theyve certainly reciprocated since they were dropped of on the side of the road a number of years ago.
Anyway Ive getting of the subject this weeks theme on Sundays with Santa is making a card for a child and I used this sweet Sugar Nellie image and printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her. Afterwards I used my Nestabilitie Labels Die No.1 to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card the papers are from Trimcrafts "Santa's Workshop" and I have used two papers the first is a white background with houses on and the second is a stripped one and I have placed that across the center and a mesh ribbon around the center was then attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed in the center and the diecut sentiment down the right hand side.

A Card with the latest image from Pink Gem

Janet of Pink Gem Designs is one of the most generous people I know being on one of her Design Teams gives you the chance to play with all her gorgeous images and this one is one of the latest its title is "Chloe in a Apple Tree" and you will find them here, and I printed her onto white card.
I then coloured her with my copic pens and cut her out with my Nestabilitie Dies, I have used a larger one for the mount which is out of green card. The base card is a 7"x 7" white card and this is because is its a rather large stamp and I felt it would show better on a larger card.
The first mount is green card and the papers are from again Pink Gem and this set is called "Spring Time" and you will find them here. I have used four of the papers and layered them across the card by using a Tonic border punch on the edges, I used the colours from my mounted image to pick the papers that worked with it the best.
I then layed my mounted image in the center and the sentiment is in the bottom right hand corner, and with the left over papers from the same design set I have used the Daisy die from Die-namics and punched out several sets and with my large ball embossing ball created the flowers that have been layered up in the bottom left hand corner, these were stuck in several layers and stuck to the card with silicone glue and punched leaves.
And to finish of I have used several pale green pearls in the other three corners just to balance it out.

A Card for the Aurora Wings Monotone Challenge

Good Afternoon Crafters, well I hope you are looking forward to the weekend, I would be happy if the weather improves its so changeable at the moment, yesterday was fabulous and today its pouring of rain and its quite chilly, roll on Summer and hopefully a nicer one that last years.
Todays card is for Aurora Wings "Monotone" Challenge and I have used this "Easter Lily" image though I have decided to use it as a Madonna Lily as this is one of my most favourite flowers, I love to buy a bunch from the supermarket and have them in my front room the smell is just heavenly as they come out. Anyway to get back to my card I have colored the image with my copic pens and then used on of my Nestabilitie Dies to cut it out and a larger one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green card and the papers are from Sweetshoppes "Cool Colours" collection, and as this is a monotone card I have used tones of green and one of grey/white.
I have layered it up as you can see with the lighter green for my first mount and then the darker one on top and a grey/white one for the third layer. The mounted image was then placed in the center and the sentiment is one from my stash and placed in the bottom right hand corner.

Challenge #155 - "For the Boys"- The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Crafters, do you know Ive done it again, Ive forgotten to get my own card scheduled for this weeks Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot, I suspect it had to do with the busy Easter weekend and Ive got a bit behind, anyway Ive now got around to doing my own post and I do hope you all had a fabulous weekend even if the weather wasnt as kind as it has been in the last couple of weeks, and last night we had a rare old thunderstorm to finish it, and today its cloudy and wet so I suppose we will have to say a goodbye to the fabulous sunny weather we have been experiencing of late.
This weeks theme over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is "For the Boys" and that means we want to see a card with a boy/male influence and Im sure that you can create card to follow it and as always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30 to spend on their website.

And of course this means that you must have used one of the products on your card and that could be either a image, backing paper or printable but even if you havent they will still offer you 3 digi images of your own choice. And I do urge you to go and pay a visit to their fabulous website The Paper Shelter and browse and see for yourself what stunning things that are on offer and you will be also surprised at how much they are value for money and in these days thats what matters when you are shopping around.
And now I want to show you what I have been making for this Challenge.

I have used this gorgeous "My Cute Rottweiler" and you will find it here, I have acutally used the pre-coloured image and background for my card, I printed two of the image itself and cut it out completely.
The background was then mounted onto brown card and I then wrapped a piece of dog themed ribbon around the card and attached it to the back of the first mount. I then placed my cut out image on top with some silicone glue.
I also googled a sentiment and printed this onto a piece of white card and cut and mounted it and placed it in the left hand corner, and the final flourish is the dog kennel button stuck in the top right hand corner.
I do hope now that youve seen my card you will go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this weeks "For the Boys" theme Challenge.

And for my card I have used all Marianne products for my card.

I have used this sweet couple who I guess are getting engaged and decided to create a congratulations card with it, I stamped the image onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used the Marianne heart die to cut it out, then cut the fancy one to put on top of this framing the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of white card and the paper I have used is from the Marianne Vintage Romance paper pad and I have used just this one piece and wrapped a wide pink ribbon around the center and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then placed my mounted image towards the right, and I then used the Love Sentiment die and put it in the bottom left hand corner, also I cut a pair of doves which has been put in the top left hand corner, and the final die cut is the heart in the bottom right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "J is for Just as you Like" Challenge.
