The Paper Shelter - "Anything Goes" - Summer Break Challenge

This weeks Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is our special Summer Break one and the theme will be "Anything Goes" it also means that both the A and B Teams will be taking part and as its our time to take a break we will not be commenting on your cards, as I feel the girls need some time out to spend with their children without the worry of commenting on cards. I also have my grandsons coming for a week and its going to be difficult getting to a computer as they sleep in my craft room.
Anyway as always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize for this Challenge of $30. to spend on their website.

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

But this is providing you have used one of their products on your card and this could be either a Image, Paper and Printable and you will find them here on The Paper Shelter Website. But even if you dont use one you will still receive 3 digi images of your own choice to play with.
And now for my card.

And for my card I have used "Fairy in a Teacup" and you will find her here, and I have printed her onto white card and then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used the Nestabilitie Circle die to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount out of yellow card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount of yellow card and the papers are from The Paper Shelters "Vintage Flourishes" digi paper set and you will find them here. I have used two of the papers the first one is a very pretty all over rose pattern then on top is another yellow paper and then a Butterfly Border and Corner punch from Martha Stewart and created a layer which was then placed on top of the first mount.
I have then cut a teapot and cup with a Tattered Lace die then stuck it along the bottom of my card, then in the center I have placed my mounted image in the middle, and a sentiment was created on my computer and printed and mounted onto another piece of yellow card. The final flourish is the large Flower that was created with another of the Tattered Lace Dies and layered up and placed in the top left hand corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Teams have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Anything Goes" Challenge.
This Card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

A Card for the Aurora Wings "No Lines Challenge"

Good Morning fellow Crafters, it looks like another beautiful day again the sun is out and its still quite warm, our dog loves the early morning sunshine and here she is sitting by the back gate taking in the rays.
Mind you she always runs in to welcome me when I come down in the morning then runs outside yet again to enjoy it.
Todays card has been created with such a lot of difficulty I tried twice with the Fushia Sprite but the dark colours were difficult to lay without the lines they kept going over the edge and looked awful so in the bin they went, and I thought I would try something a little lighter and this "Dandelion" Sprite is the result.
I took her into My Craft Studio and faded out the lines printed it and coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.34 to cut it out and a Fancy one for the mount from the same Die shape our of green card.
The card is a 6.50"x 6.50" and the first mount is green card, the paper I created myself with Phil Martins "Dandelion Whispers" background stamp by using clear inkpad and details embossing powder and used the heat gun to set it, afterwards I used yellow mica powder and rubbed it all over the embossed background and rubbed of the excess.
I then stuck it to the base mount and cut a 5" square green card and with a Dandelion Embossing Folder from Crafters Companion Embossalicious range and ran it through my ebosser. I then placed this onto of the first layer and wrapped a piece of green net ribbon around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount. I then placed my mounted image in the center of the middle mount.
To finish of I diecut three Dandelions with the Tattered Lace Die and placed them around the mounted image in the center.

Aurora Wings "Butterfly" Challenge

Good Afternoon, well today has been beautiful I was wondering if it might happen as we had a fabulous lightening storm last night and I watched it through the living room window for quite awhile. Anyway the poor dog had a short walk this afternoon and found it just to much for her little feet so we cut it short and came home again so I could get this card finished.
I started it a week ago and didnt get very far as I had other things to sort out and as you can see I have put those behind and got on to finishing it, its one of the gorgeous Aurora Wings images and you will find her here, please do go and visit the website as she is such a talented lady and really does create beautiful images so you can play with them.
I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a Tonic die to cut her out and a scalloped one for the mount, the leaf border is yet another of the Tonic dies and I have placed it on top of the mounted image.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of lilac card and the paper is one from Nitwits and I have then placed on top and used a piece of the same lilac card and ran it through my ebosser with a butterfly embossing folder. And of course this is my favourite colour choice so I love to use it on my cards.
On top I have placed a strip of web ribbon and another of Satin and then tucked behind the first mount. I then stuck my image in the middle and the last flourish is the butterfly from Tattered Lace which I folded and stuck in the top left hand corner.

A Card for Sundays with Santa "A Card for a Child"

Good Morning Crafters, well I dont know if you heard it in your neck of the woods but at 1.30 am this morning there was a torrential downpour of rain yet again and it woke both hubby and myself up, its getting like a jungle in my garden as the grass and everything else is growing so fast, even the Forest is already over grown with ferns, I dont think theres enough sheep to chomp it down, the wild boar dont even touch that just turns over the grass instead, and of course its causing a lot of trouble when it gets into playing fields and gardens as you can image they do terrible damage. Now they want to cull them, not sure how they got dumped but theyve certainly reciprocated since they were dropped of on the side of the road a number of years ago.
Anyway Ive getting of the subject this weeks theme on Sundays with Santa is making a card for a child and I used this sweet Sugar Nellie image and printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her. Afterwards I used my Nestabilitie Labels Die No.1 to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card the papers are from Trimcrafts "Santa's Workshop" and I have used two papers the first is a white background with houses on and the second is a stripped one and I have placed that across the center and a mesh ribbon around the center was then attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed in the center and the diecut sentiment down the right hand side.

The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" and the first mount is blue card and the papers are from Sweetshoppes "Dare 2be Different" digi paper set, I have used three papers for the card and layered them up as shown, I then placed the mounted image towards the left with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
I then used several more of the papers from the same paper set and 3 of the Woodware Daisy punches and created a layered flower in the top right hand corner, I used my ball tool to shape the petals and layered them up and stuck them to the card on top of some cut leaves.

Challenge #159 - "Charming" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Crafters, well it looks as if the weather has started to reverse back to the wet one again and I suppose we ought not to be to greedy at least we had a lovely couple of weeks and I just hope we shall have some more of those in the future. This weeks Challenge over at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is all about using "Charms" on your Card, these were very popular a couple of years ago and Im sure you have them somewhere in your stash I know I have a fabulous selection to choose from.
As always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

But as always this comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card and this could be either a image, paper or printable but even if you havent they will still offer you 3 digi images of your own choice, so you really have nothing to loose by taking part in this Challenge, but please do go and pay their website The Paper Shelter and see for yourself what fabulous products they have on offer, and they are always updating their library all the time.
Anyway I have used this cute image for my card

This one is called "So Pretty"  you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards  used my Nestabilitie die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount.
The main card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the papers are also from The Paper Shelter and this set is titled "Shopping Girl" and you will find them here. I have used four different designs, the first a blue background with pink and blue flowers on, the second is a pink one and I have used a flower border punch from Martha Stewart, the third a darker pink and this has pink flowers and the last mount is a double blue strip on and this is placed behind the image.
On top of these I have placed my mounted image, and the sentiment is placed down the right hand side and this also from the stamp die set and as the fancy mount. To finish of I have used one of the Sue Wilson Bow Dies and created the bow in the top right hand corner, from this I have dangled a mirror brad and attached to this is a bag and dress charm.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Charming" Challenge.
