Happy Halloween to you All

Happy Halloween everyone, and this is definitely my last Halloween card for this year, this one will go away for next year as Ive sent out all mine to the grandchildren, so it will mean Ive got a head start already. Anyway the reason for this card was to try and enter it in the Penny Black inc Challenge but Ive no idea how to get my uploaded card onto their site its all done with Yahoo Flicker and although Ive tagged it, it still not showing on their site so I thought Id used it for another Challenge instead, and this one is for Crafty Creations Challenge "Halloween" so Ive got a use for it after all.
This is a gorgeous PB image of a cat and his pumpkin and as usual hes been coloured with my copic pens then cut out with the Pumpkin Nestabilitie and Ive used the same die to draw around and create a mount for it out of orange pearlescent card, the sentiment is one from my stash and has had the same treatment given it, I should also say Ive used an orange inkpad to distress the edges of both.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of orange card with my first paper, one of Donna's Bearlymine Halloween designs this one is a all over sentiment paper, and the second and third papers are from the same design set but these have been cut into strips then Ive punched along both edges with my pumpkin border punch from Martha Stewart, then on top of this is a strip of the same orange card but Ive run this through my cuttlebug with a spider embossing folder from Sizzex.
The mounted image was then positioned to the left and my sentiment at the bottom on the right, my final flourish is the three charms stuck down the right hand side.

A Card for Just Magnolia Challenge - "A Sketch by Dawn"

Good Afternoon everyone hope you are having a nice Saturday, here in Gloucester the sun has been out but its now gone cloudy I do hope it doesnt decide to start raining or poor hubby is going to get wet as hes volunteering today and I suspect hes probably painting posts and that wont be much fun for him.
Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks Just Magnolia Challenge "Sketch by Dawn" and Ive used this sweet image of Tilda carrying her presents and candy, Ive stamped her and coloured her with my copic pens, after which Ive used the rectangle Nestabilitie die to cut her out and a deckled edged one for the mount. The sentiment is yet again one of the LOV ones as the Magnolia ones were just to big for the sketch.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of red card and one patterned paper from the Papermania Classic Christmas paper/card set, this paper is a tartan one which I felt went well with my image, on top of this I have stuck a piece of red pearlescent card that has been run through my cuttlebug with a all over holly pattern, and my stamped mounted image was stuck in the middle on top. The sentiment was laid by the side of this card, and to finish of Ive used two white poinsettas that have been stuck to the card on top of some punched out holly leaves, and the last thing are two heart gems that were stuck at the top on the right hand side.

A Card for Many Challenges

Good Afternoon ladies, hope you are all looking forward to a relaxing weekend, mine is going to be crafting all the way as its hubbys volunteering weekend when he goes to play trains, he does enjoy it so I dont mind really.
Anyway todays card has been created for several challenges, but Ive basically used the sketch from Bev from the Lili of the Valleys challenge this week to create the card and then discovered it also covers sevaral other challenges as well. Anyway this is a gorgeous little image of a young bear with his parcels from LOV and Ive coloured him with my copic pens and then covered his hats fluffy edges with glitter, then cut him out with the rectangle dies from Nestabilities and the mount is one of their deckled edged one, the sentiment is another of the LOV stamps and this has been cut out with one of the tag dies from Spellbinders.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of red card and then on top Ive used three papers from the Papermania's Festival Frolics paper/card pack, the first paper is a all over white one with parcels on and the second and third papers are firstly a xmas tree design and the secondly another of the parcel designs, these have both been cut in strips and then both edges have been punched with the Martha Stewart Parcel Border punch, and then layered on top of one another across the middle.
I then wrapped a organza red ribbon around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount, on top of this I have positioned my mounted image and the sentiment at the top on the right a small strip at the bottom as the sketch requires. I then popped two red heart buttons at the top on the right and three red pearls down the left hand side at the top and at the bottom on the right. I also created a bow with the same ribbon and this was stuck on top of the piece in the middle and to finish of Ive created a flower spray with some poinsetta's and some punched out fern leaves which were attached with some silicone glue on the right hand side, after which Ive popped some stickles on the petals.

One Card for Two Challenges

Good Afternoon Girls, Im so sorry for being late but Ive had one hell of a job to photo this card as the front is acetate and you know what that does it not only glares it shows all the reflections as well, then there was the problem with the weather, its extremely dull here today and its trying to rain , so if this isnt a particularly good photo please forgive me.
Todays card has been made for the following challenges Mo's "Seasons" and Cute Card Thursdays "So Transparent" and thats the one thats caused all the trouble. Anyway Ive used this cute image of Bella with her dog Bronte attempting to skate on the local pond. Ive printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens after which Ive cut her out completely ready to stick on the acetate front.
The main card is a 6"x 6" white base with a blue piece of card stuck on top, the scene in the background is of Crafters Companion Cute Companions Christmas Cd, how about all those Cs, anyway Ive cut it out and stuck it to the blue card, then folded a piece of acetate and fixed it to the back with some tape, on to this I have stuck Bella and used some stickles on the bushes in green and red for the holly. The sentiment is one of the Crafters Companion Adorables stamps that Ive stamped on the inside, Im hoping to use this card for one of my granddaughters.

Good Evening Ladies, sorry Ive not been around much today its been a busy one done a pile of ironing and even went swimming, but I did make one card and this is from a freebie that I received from Jessica Lynn of http://www.jessicalynnoriginal.com/ she was offering a freebie on the Free Digital Stamps blog and is actually running a challenge with it on her blog you will see the link below, and I received mine yesterday and promised to make a card with it, and so here it is I do hope that she likes what Ive done.
Ive printed her onto smooth white card and coloured here with my copic pens after which I used the mega retangle die to cut her out and the deckle edged one for the mount. The sentiment is a mixture of two stamps which I have used together to stamp the message, this was also mounted onto a deckle edged one.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card and Ive used three papers from the Nitwit Downloads this one is called "Summerbreeze" collection, this first paper is a white based one with loads of patchwork flowers of blue, green and yellow on, over this I have mounted two pieces of blue card with a denim coloured plain paper, and for the last paper Ive used a yellow based paper with flowers all over it, and cut this into a 5" square and then used the all around arched border and corner punches on it, this was then stuck on top of the other layers and my lace was then attached to the back of the first mount.
I then positioned my mounted image towards the left and my sentiment at the bottom on the right, to finish of I have used a prima lace flower and some punched out fern leaves to create a flower in the top right hand corner.

A Card for Kennys Challenge "2 x 2" Receipe

Good Morning Ladies well the sun is out and its quite lovely outside though how long it will last we shall have to wait and see, hubby has gone of to London to visit his daughter and granddaughters and he did it in good time he left here at 8am and arrived at Clacketts Lane at 12 noon, so I think he did well, mind you he did stop at Purley for a cup of tea.
Anyway todays card (which will be put away for hubby) has been created for Kennys Challenge "2 x 2" Receipe challenge which means you have to use two papers, two ribbons and two flowers. I printed this image onto smooth white card and coloured it with my copic pens and then used large glitter for the fluffy bits on her custume, hat and boots I cut it out with my new Nestabilitie die 17, and then draw around the edge to create the mount out of red card.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of red card and two fabulous Xmas papers from Donna of Bearly Mine designs, she has a sale on her website tomorrow and a brand new set of papers, I do so hope you will pop across and visit her. Ive used an all over sentiment one for my first paper in red and white and this has been mounted on some red card, for my second paper Ive used a white base card with two snowmen on and another sentiment, this was also punched with my snowflake in each of the corners before sticking it to another piece of red card and placed on top of the first mount.
I then wrapped two ribbons around the edge on the left which look a bit crooked but I assure you it isnt in real life must be my photo, and mounted my image in the centre, to finish of Ive used two poinsetta's at the top on the right and laid them on top of some punched out holly leaves and these were attached to the card with some silicone glue, I then used some stickles to glitter up the petals.

A Card for Just Magnolia Challenge - "Think Pink"

Well I hope your enjoying your start to the weekend, if the weather stays dry I think we might be going out for dinner today to the local garden centre in Raglan but we shall see have to wait for the Postman first then we can decide afterwards. Hubby has plans to go and visit his daughters and granddaughters tomorrow so hes looking forward to that as hes not seen them since August and time goes so quickly you forget how quickly 2 years olds and 18 month olds grow.
Anyway todays card has been created for Just Magnolia's "Think Pink" which is to celebrate the Breast Cancer Awareness month and although I dont actually mention it on my card its done to show love. This is an old Tilda image but Ive coloured it with my copic pens then cut her out with my oval nestabilitie die, Ive also used a scalloped one for the mount and this has been cut from pink pearlescent card. The sentiment is another of the Magnolia stamps and I felt this was appropriate in this instance.
Ive created a 6"x 6" easel card and used two of the beautiful papers from the Kay Miller "Follow your Heart" download set, a very pretty pink paper with hearts on has been used for the base layers, and the second paper is a pretty heart and leaf spray pattern and Ive cut them into 5 inch squares and then used the double Heart corner and border punches on them from Martha Stewart. These were placed on top of the base layer and for the front Ive used two strips of lace and a heart ribbon across the middle and attached it to the back.
For the inside Ive stuck the same square on the base layer then popped my sentiment which had been cut out in a heart shape and this was positioned in the middle at the bottom to allow you to stand the card up. I then stuck my mounted image in the centre of the top layer and created a flower spray with several sizes of roses in pink and stuck them to my card with some punched out fern leaves in the top left hand corner.

We did walk into town this morning when the sun was out to have our flu jabs done so thank goodness for that I would have hated getting wet. Anyway todays card has been created for two Challenges Lili of the Valleys "Winter Fun" and Winter Wonderlands "A Receipe, two papers, 1 ribbon and 1snowflake and charm" and Ive used this sweet bear image from LOV and coloured it with my copic pens after which Ive cut it out with my circle nestabilitie die and used the new Lacey circle die for the mount, the sentiment is another of the LOV stamps and this was cut out with the label die and mounted on a piece of red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of red card and one of two papers from the New Papermania Paper pack "Peppers Christmas Party", the first paper is a white base with present pattern all over it, the second paper is mounted on a aqua blue card with a paper with a white base and acqu coloured snowflakes all over it. I then wrapped a ribbon around the middle with a lace strip, this I have discovered I have put on upside down, but it is a red ribbon I assure you thats been attached to the lace, daft arnt I?
Anyway I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive punched out two snowflakes with my Martha Stewart punches, then dipped them into glue and crushed glass glitter, they were then mounted up with a snowflake charm hung from the second lower one.

A Card for two Challenges

Good Afternoon Ladies, well we had one heavy frost this morning and hubby says its still quite cold outside, and Im in a rush because we are of swimming in 35 mins so Id better pull my finger out and get a move on. This card is for two challenges Mos "Colours of Fall" and Cute Card Thursdays "Sketch by Lynn" and Ive used this cute image by Mo of Kia playing with the leaves, and coloured her with my copic pens, after which Ive cut her out with my square nestabilitie die and used the Lacey Square one for the mount.
The base card is a 7"x  7" white card with a first layer of brown card and three papers from the Nitwit Downloads this set are called "Autumn Enchantment" and the first paper is an all over leaf and nut pattern, the two papers Ive used for the squares under my mount are of a brown and beige check and Ive used them alternatively, and on top positioned my mounted image in the centre. The sentiment is one that I found in my stash and this has been mounted on one of the double ended tags from Spellbinders.
To finish of I have punched some corners with my Martha Stewart Leaf punch and cut them out to create the corner pieces and then I was given these gorgeous metal leaf brads from someone in the US and Ive scattered them all over my card to give the impression of falling leaves.

A Card for Totally Tilda Challenge Blog - "Red and Green"

Good Afternoon Ladies well the sun is out and its looking fabulous mind you the leaves are falling very quickly now so I suspect we are in for an early winter, not a happy thought dont you agree? Todays card has been created for the Totally Tilda Challenge "Red and Green" and Ive used this image from last year and coloured her with my copic pens, then cut her out with my circle Nestabilitie Die, the outer ring is the Double Circle from Marianne and its just the right size for this large die, the only thing is you have to wiggly it a bit to hide behind the image as the actual circle cut out is almost the same size as the Nestabilitie one. The sentiment is another of the Tilda ones and thats been mounted on some red card with some red pearls placed on the berries.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of green card and three of the papers from the Papermania "Classic Christmas" paper/card pack, which I felt was ideal for this card, the first paper is a green base pattern with red and white reindeer on, the second is a stripe pattern and the third one is a diamond pattern both of these are on red card. Across the middle Ive wrapped a red and green tartan ribbon and fixed to the back of the first layer.
I then positioned my mounted image slightly to the right and the sentiment at the top on the left, I then created a flower spray from some punched out holly leaves, berries and one Poinsetta flower and attached them to my card with some silicone glue at the top on the right hand side. I did pop some stickles on the petals and also some glitter on my image.

A Card for two Challenges

Good Afternoon Ladies, well heres a colour combo to knock your eyes out Hot Pink and Orange which is the challenge from Die Cut Dreams Challenge this week and Im also going to enter it into the Sparkle Dreams Sketch Challenge. Before I go any further I want to say that I was a bit surprised to find that Id been given a top 4 four award for Die cut Dreams last week, and Im absolutely thrilled thank you so much ladies its an honour for sure.
Anyway Ive used this little Hanglar and Stranglar image isnt she a cutie, its one that was passed onto me by one of my fabulous friends, I want to thank the person who sent it and Im sorry to say Ive forgotten who it was but they will know Im sure, so bless you again and a big thank you from me. Anyway Ive coloured her with my copic pens then cut her own with my square nestabilitie and used the new eyelet one for her mount. The sentiment is one of the Hobby Art ones and Ive given it the same treatment but with a circle die instead.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of bright pink card and one of three papers from the Kay Miller Downloads this one is called "Happy Hearts", I love using her papers as they are really beautiful and some are quite funky to. This first paper is a pretty all over flower pattern on white, the second mount is another pink paper on a piece of pink card, the third is a orange plain pattern on a piece of orange card.
On top of this I have mounted my image and my sentiment to the top on the right as the sketch shows, Ive also punched out two label tags and popped some bright pink pearls on them. To finish of Ive created a flower spray in shades of hot pink and orange at the top on the right with some punched leaves mounted on some silicone glue.

A Card for LOV Challenge - Bevs Sketch

Good Morning Ladies hope you are all ready to start another new week, its not long to the NEC and Im looking forward to seeing whats on offer and to meet a couple of my friends there to. Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks Lili of the Valleys Challenge a sketch by Bev, and this is my interpretation of it.
Ive used this sweet little angel and coloured her with my copic pens and put some glitter on her wings, I then used my circle Nestabilities to cut her out and used the Beaded one for the mount, Ive punched two holes at the sides for the ribbon to be threaded through. The sentiment is one of LOV own ones and this has been used on one of the tag dies.
The card is 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of blue card and one of the fabulous papers from Donna again, this is a blue base with white starts on, over this across the middle I have put some white card it is embossed with snowflakes unfortunately it doesnt show on this photo the flash has obliterated it completely theres just a shadow of them on the left hand side. Then I have wrapped a piece of my lovely lace across the middle and my mounted image along the top of it, to stop it moving Ive popped some silicone behind it and I see on the right Ive pulled it a bit off line so it looks crooked, sorry about that.
The spray of flowers are three poinsetta's, two different sizes and punched out holly leaves with some holly berries  mounted on with some silicone glue in the top left hand corner. The sentiment has been attached with a couple of brads at the bottom on the left hand side.

A Card for Kennys Challenge

Good Afternoon Ladies, hope you are enjoying the sunshine and not rain as it seems I might have passed on to other areas sorry about that, anyway its gorgeous here in Gloucestershire, not sure how warm it is out there but we had quite a heavy frost this morning.
Anyway todays card has been created for KennysK Challenge "Sketch by Donna" and Ive used this little miss doing her Xmas shopping. I suppose it wont be long before we will loaded up like this anyway Ive printed her and coloured her with my copic pens and popped some large glitter on all the fluffy bits after which Ive cut her out with my oval die from Nestabilitie and used the Beaded Oval for my mount. The sentiment is one from Just Rite stamps and this has been cut out with a circle die.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card with a pretty vintage red paper from our friend Donna's "Christmas Joy" Downloads, and the second mount is yet another from the same set of papers, this was stuck on a green mount and poisitoned in the centre, across the bottom Ive stuck a green holly ribbon around the card and created a bow and attached it on top.
Ive then positioned my mounted image to the left and the three mounts down the right hand side, with the two outer ones Ive cut some snowflakes from the Marianne dies and dipped them in some crushed glass and stuck two together then put them on top of these two circles. The middle one has the sentiment on  and some gems in each of the corners.

A Card for Four Challenges

Good Afternoon Ladies I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far, mine has been busy Ive been cleaning windows and washing nets, so if it rains you can blame me, my mum always use to say that you are tempting the rain when washing windows, but mine were very dusty and really needed doing. Ive actually been waiting for the local farmer to plough the fields next to me but it seems that hes no hurry to do it so I decided it was time I got on and cleaned them.
Anyway as hubby is doing his volunteering this weekend at our local Steam Engine place I thought Id have a go at another couple of challenges, and this card is for Penny Black at Allsorts "Colours of Autumn" and Sir Stampalots "Autumn Breezes, Buttons and Bows". Ive used this gorgeous stamp from Penny Black its looks to me like a load of dandelion heads and grasses anyway for a change Ive used my promarkers and some watercolouring paper to stamp it out on and using a damp brush pulled out the colours from the edges. Then Ive used some orange and red pens around the edge and mounted it on two pieces of card one beige and the other brown.
The base card s  7"x 7" white card with a first layer of beige card and one of three papers from my Nitwit Downloads, this one is called "Autumn Enchantment" this first paper is a pretty all over sprig pattern on beige background, the second piece is an all over pattern of leaves and Ive used my leaf border and edge punch from Martha Stewart on this and stuck it to the bottom layer, the third paper is a dark red dotted paper thats been mounted on a piece of brown card.
Ive then wrapped a pretty organza ribbon around these layers and tied a bow, after which I mounted my image on top. The sentiment is one of Wendy Stentons stamps and this also was stamped onto a piece of watercolour card and mounted at the bottom on the right hand side. To finish of I have stuck four leaf buttons own the right hand side to resemble falling leaves.

A Card for Many Challenges

Good Afternoon Ladies, Im sorry to say that this was the best photo I took out of many so you are not going to be able to see the designs on these papers as the damn flash has made the paper shine, I will try and describe them to you, so I must apologise before I start.
This card is for the Just Magnolia challenge "Dawny's Sketch" and any other challenge I can track down, anyway Ive used my new club image of Tilda in her Christmas attire, Ive stamped her onto smooth card and coloured here with my copic pens, after which Ive cut her out with a circle die and stamped some holly leaves around the image with catseye inkpads in various shades of green then popped some red stickles on the berries. The mount is one of the new circle dies from Nestabilities its called Beaded circles its the biggest one of all the new circle dies. The sentiment is one that I got free with one of my craft magazines this was mounted on some red card.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with one of three papers this first one is aqua colour with snowflakes on, all these papers are by Bo Bunny and were another freebie from the magazine, maybe this is why they dont stand out to well, anyway the second paper is a red swirl paper and Ive used the snowflake punch in each of the corners. The third paper is a all over Xmas tree pattern in multi colours stripes. Across the middle two mounts Ive wrapped a ribbon around and stuck it to the back before sticking this to the base layer.
The mounted image was then positioned as instructed in the sketch and the sentiment down the side, to finish of Ive punched out some holly leaves with my Martha Stewart punch, and then arranged them under the four poinsetta's, two either side of the image.

A Card for two Challenges

Good Afternoon Ladies, well I have at last been able to get around to creating a card sorry Ive taken so long, anyway this one is for Mo's Challenge "A Sketch" by Dawn and Cute Card Challenge "Whats Buggin You" and Ive used this sweet image of a fairy with her flower and bees in the background. Ive printed her onto coated white card and coloured her with my copic pens before cutting her own with the Nestabilitie Label die 16 and used the die to draw around to create the mount from blue card, the sentiment is one from my stash I think its a Hero Arts one but carnt be totally sure on that, this was cut out with a circle die and then mounted onto a larger one.
The base card is a white card of 7"x 6" and on this for my first layer I have used a piece of blue card with one of three papers from Kay Millers "Wings" downloads, a very pretty blue paper with butterflies on, the second and third papers have been cut into oblongs and the butterfly all around punches from Martha Stewart have been used on these then layered on top of one another and positioned in the middle. Ive then wrapped a piece of lace around the middle before positioning my mounted image on top.
The sentiment was then stuck at the bottom on the right hand side, and Ive used a Marianne Butterfly die to create butterfly that Ive covered with glitter glue and positioned at the top on the left.

Another Photo for you to see

Hi Girls good evening, as you seem to enjoy looking at the photos yesterday I thought you might like to see this one as well, it was taken at our evening out at "Souix City" it was a BBQ and Rodeo Show that we attended last week and as we were sitting eating our food two girls were taking photos of us at the table, and as its rare for hubby Ian and I to have a photo of us taken together I thought you might enjoy seeing this one. It was good fun and the meal was brilliant and we enjoyed the show afterwards as well though we didnt get to bed till gone 1am, naughty I know but really a bit like Cinderella just wish wed been able to sleep when we eventually got there but as you already know it wasnt to be never mind this is a good reminder of a fun night out.
Im sincerely hopeing to be able to get around to making a card tomorrow as Ive been a good girl today and got all my ironing done and sewing finished so you never know I might just be lucky, anyway see you soon.

Tuesday, 12 October 2010

Well Im back but I must admit to being a little Jaggered

Hi Everyone its so lovely to be back home again and know that Im more likely to get a good nights sleep, although we had a lovely time on our week to Gran Canaria, we were a bit unlucky with the apartment we chose to stay in as it over looked the commercial centre in Puerto Rico and the local disco/wine bars would start up at 11pm and go onto 4am in the morning making one hell of a racket, so no one could get a decent nights sleep it vibrated up the sides a bit like an auditorium. The weather was fabulous and really hot and the apartment was beautiful as it had just been reburbished so we were very lucky but it was just the hell of a noise that spoilt it all for us.

This is the town from our Balcony, the disco/nightclubs are down in the centre.
I thought that you might like to see a few of the photos we took while away, and most of these were taken on our boat trip to Purto Morgan, which was along the bay from the place we were staying, its really beautiful as you can see from two of these photos theres lots of gorgeous flowers hibiscus and bouganvilla, overhanging balconies and people houses, its a marina with loads of yachts in with all these old looking houses that surround it, though I dont believe they are actually old but they do look lovely and in character with the place.
The last photo is one of several scenes that have been created along an alley, we actually took a video of it but this is the only still I took, and this little lad really appeals to me with him holding his dads leg and a bucket of fish standing by the two of them, I think it must be all made from cement and sculptured into shape.
Anyway thanks for popping by and leaving me such lovely comments and Thank You Chris for the Award I will get back to visiting you in the next few days and hopefully even get around to creating some cards, at the moment tomorrow I have a stack of ironing to do and some alterations to do for some neighbours so I might be a bit late getting around to see you all. So take care,

And here is my card for this fortnights Challenge which is the theme of "Happy Birthday" and I have used one of Heather's Tommy images for this:-
I printed him onto white card before colouring him with my copic pens the I used the Nestabilitie Label Die 10 to cut him out, then drew around the die for the mount. The sentiment was created on my computer and cut out with my rotatrim and mounted on a spare piece of the blue card.
The base card is a 7"x 6" gate card, with the inter piece which has a strip of the same blue card and a red gingham paper and the same text paper as the front but Ive used the farm border punch down the edge.
The front of the card has a first mount of blue card with the a patterned paper all of them from the "Giddyup" downloads from Nitwit papers, its a all over design of blue and red handerchief squares on top of which I have put a square of the same text paper as the inside and I used the same farm border and corner punch on this, the mounted image was then positoned on top with my sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have put two buttons with ribbon through at the top on the right.
I do so sincerely hope that you will take part in this challenge and do please pop across to http://cardsformen.blogspot.com/ and see what my fellow Design Team members have created, Im sure you will be surprised and delighted with their creations for this fantastic Challenge.

One Card three Challenges

Good Morning Ladies, though to say its a good day is a bit much as the weather here is absolutely awful, its pouring of rain, and its heavy and the wind is blowing like a gale, so Im really looking forward to starting our holiday tomorrow, so this is my last card post for just over a week though there will be a scheduled one that will come up Monday week, its my DT card for Cards For Men, I do so hope you are taking part it this fortnights challenges, like most of the challenges at the moment is titled Autumn.
Before I start on todays card I want to tell you that I was awarded a top three Award from Crafters Companion this week for this entry and Im thrilled and you can see Ive even got a gorgeous blinkie to show for it.
Anyway this card is in the catagory and Im going to enter it into three challenges and they are Just Magnolia's "Anything goes" Stampin for the Weekends "Autumn Inspiration" and Totally Papercrafts "The Great Outdoors" and I thought this Tilda with her cauldron was a real lovely Halloween card to send to one of my grandchildren so Ive stamped and masked her, then coloured her with my copic pens, after which I cut her out with my rotatrim and mounted her on some red card, the sentiment is one from my stash thats got the same treatment.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of red card and one of three papers from the Nitwit Halloween Downloads, this first one is an all over text pattern, the second is a yellow/orange paper with bats on that Ive cut into a square and used my spiderweb all around border punches from Martha Stewart on, the third paper is a strip of black paper with stars and a huge moon on, Ive used the pumpkin punch on the two edges of this one and stuck it across the middle.
On top of this I have positioned my mounted image and my sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, to finish of I have stuck three Halloween charms down the right hand side.
This card is to be entered in the following challenges:-
