I printed the image and then cut her out completely and I then stuck her towards the left of my card. The pumpkins are also from the same background paper but I have printed several and then placed them on the right of my card down the card. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was stamped on a topper and then placed in the top right hand corner.

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, now its rather unusual for me to take part in the even Challenges but I was asked by my joint Team Leader Marie if I could help her by taking part in this weeks "Monsters and Mythicals" Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and I thought of course I would and as usual our sponsors are the very generous Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter.

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

And they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website The Paper Shelter and that could be either a Image, Paper or Printable and at the moment they have a "Halloween Sale" on so you will benefit from even more the special prices they offer. Even if you dont use one of their images on your card they will still give you 3 image of your own choice.
But Im getting ahead of myself and here is the card I have created.

And this young lady is called  "The Dragon Whisperer" and you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I cut her out with a Nestabilitie die Labels Die No.4 and a fancy one for the mount out of beige card.
The base card is 6.50"x 6.50" white card with my first mount of beige card, and the paper I have used is the background paper that comes with the image, then I placed my mounted image in the center of the card. I then used some scripted paper and rolled it into scrolls which were inked on the ends and tied together with black and white ribbon and placed on top of the printed scrolls already on the backing paper. The sentiment is one from my stash thats been placed on a banner die cut and placed across the top of my card.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented "B" Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this weeks "Monsters and Mythicals" themed Challenge.

ABC Challenges - "V is for Vibrant"

Good Morning Crafters, I dont know about you but it doesnt seem possible that we are halve way through October already and only 14 weeks to Christmas, I do hope that you are getting ahead with your Xmas Cards. Anyway over on the ABC Challenge Blogspot we have arrived at the letter "V" and for our theme we want to see "Vibrant" images and designs.
We are being sponsored this time by

https://www.etsy.com/shop/OakPondCreations?ref=si_shop
and

http://www.markerpop.com/catalog/
And we were lucky enough to choose a image to play with and I chose this one from Oak Pond Creations

And this one is just right for the time of year its called "Halloween Friends" and you will find the image here. I printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, then cut it out with my rotatrim and created a mount out of black card for it afterwards.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of black card, the papers I have used are from Sweetshoppe "A Wizarding World" digi paper set, and I have used four papers from the set, and also used a Bat Border punch from Martha Stewart on the stripes I have layered down the center.
I also used some black card and a edge die from Memory Box to create the tombstones at the bottom, and at the top two corners I have used the spider web corner dies and also cut out three bats to finish if of. The Sentiment is also one from my stash and this was also mounted on a piece of black card and placed it in the bottom right hand corner and the mounted image was placed in the middle.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "V is for Vibrant" Challenge.

Challenge #177 - "Shabby Chic" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Crafters, do you know I almost forgot to write up my DT post for The Paper Shelter, its been a busy couple of days and it went out of my head completely, I was just going to turn of my computer when I realised I hadnt written it up yet. Anyway this weeks Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is all about being "Shabby Chic" and I know its debatable as to what is termed as this anyway we leave the choice upto you how you wish to interpretate it. And when you go to visit the Challenge Blog you will see that we have two new Team Members on my A Team and I do hope you will give Jan and Sandra a very warm welcome.
As always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

But as always this comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card, and that could be either Image, Paper or Printable but even if you havent they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice.
And now I want to show you what I have made for this Challenge.

For my card I have chosen this "Time for Tea" image from The Paper Shelter and you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her. Afterwards I cut her out with a oval Nestabilitie Die and used a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of beige card, I then used the background paper that came with the image and on top of this I have used a circle doily and distressed it with a beige inkpad.
I then placed my mounted image in the middle and the sentiment is one I stamped and mounted on a smaller oval die and mount which was then placed in the bottom right hand corner. I then used several sized roses to create two flower sprays which were placed either side of the image, then below I have used some clock faces and the final flourish are the pearls placed in the top right and bottom left hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Shabby Chic" Challenge.
