A Card for Sundays with Santa "A Card for a Child"

Good Morning Crafters, well I dont know if you heard it in your neck of the woods but at 1.30 am this morning there was a torrential downpour of rain yet again and it woke both hubby and myself up, its getting like a jungle in my garden as the grass and everything else is growing so fast, even the Forest is already over grown with ferns, I dont think theres enough sheep to chomp it down, the wild boar dont even touch that just turns over the grass instead, and of course its causing a lot of trouble when it gets into playing fields and gardens as you can image they do terrible damage. Now they want to cull them, not sure how they got dumped but theyve certainly reciprocated since they were dropped of on the side of the road a number of years ago.
Anyway Ive getting of the subject this weeks theme on Sundays with Santa is making a card for a child and I used this sweet Sugar Nellie image and printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her. Afterwards I used my Nestabilitie Labels Die No.1 to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card the papers are from Trimcrafts "Santa's Workshop" and I have used two papers the first is a white background with houses on and the second is a stripped one and I have placed that across the center and a mesh ribbon around the center was then attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed in the center and the diecut sentiment down the right hand side.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Afternoon fellow Crafters, well I dont know about you but in my part of the woods its thundering and raining, not to nice but I suppose we ought not to be to greedy as we have had some beautiful weather lately and it was bound to change, right? Anyway to cheer you up I thought you might like to see what I have been upto, this is one of the Pip images from Sugar Nellie and I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I cut her out with my Nestabilitie Die and a fancy one for the mount, I also used a smaller one from the same die set for the mount for my sentiment, which was printed from my computer and cut to fit the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" and the first mount is blue card and the papers are from Sweetshoppes "Dare 2be Different" digi paper set, I have used three papers for the card and layered them up as shown, I then placed the mounted image towards the left with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
I then used several more of the papers from the same paper set and 3 of the Woodware Daisy punches and created a layered flower in the top right hand corner, I used my ball tool to shape the petals and layered them up and stuck them to the card on top of some cut leaves.

This weeks Challenge over at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is all about using "Charms" on your Card, these were very popular a couple of years ago and Im sure you have them somewhere in your stash I know I have a fabulous selection to choose from.

The main card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the papers are also from The Paper Shelter and this set is titled "Shopping Girl" and you will find them here. I have used four different designs, the first a blue background with pink and blue flowers on, the second is a pink one and I have used a flower border punch from Martha Stewart, the third a darker pink and this has pink flowers and the last mount is a double blue strip on and this is placed behind the image.
On top of these I have placed my mounted image, and the sentiment is placed down the right hand side and this also from the stamp die set and as the fancy mount. To finish of I have used one of the Sue Wilson Bow Dies and created the bow in the top right hand corner, from this I have dangled a mirror brad and attached to this is a bag and dress charm.

Good Morning Crafters, well over at the ABC Challenge Blogspot we have reached L in our Alphabet of letters and this time we want to see "Lots of Layers" on your card, and we are lucky to be sponsored by 7 Kids College Fund.

http://www.7kidscollegefund.com/
and they are offering a fabulous prize of

And for my card I decided to use this sweet Magnolia Image.

I actually made this card for twins that I am very close to, their names are Lily and Lucy and they are now 5 years old, they are the daughters of the breeder of our gorgeous Yorkie Missy and they adore her when she goes to visit and Missy loves them to.
Anyway I stamped this Gemini Magnolia image onto a piece of white card for the first layer and I coloured them with my copic pens, afterwards I stamped it again twice more on the same paper that you can see in the background from Trimcraft its "Me to You" paper pad, and I paper pieced them to look alike. I then cut them out with my Nestabilitie Die and layered it up on a Fancy one.
I used the papers again to create my card and I used a Tonic border punch for the middle strip, in the corners I have used Die-namics corner die and on top I have placed the violet sprays in three of the corners. To finish of I have placed a banner Sentiment in the bottom left hand corner a Die-namics Die.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "L is for Lots of Layers" Challenge.

Before I start my post I want to apologise to all my followers for not visiting them as often as I have done, but I have a problem with my left eye, I have PVD which means the jelly attached to my retina has become detached and it causes me a problem with my vision at the moment I keep getting huge floaters in my direct vision and having to try and look through it is like looking through a thick net curtain, so as I said if I dont visit you to often you will know why.
Good Morning Crafters, well do you know that I have reached my third DT Card for Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot and Im really enjoying playing with their images and papers, Janet is really talented and its a pleasure to be on one of her Design Teams.

http://pinkgemchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/
For this weeks Challenge its all about "Your Favourite Colour Combo" and for me its got to involve anything lilac or purple so heres the end result.

And I have used "Posh Poppy" for my image and your will find her here, I have printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens then used one of my Nestabilitie Dies to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount out of deep purple card. The sentiment is also cut out with the small die and then mounted on a slighty larger one.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of purple card and the papers are from one of the Pink Gems Digi Papers you will find a fabulous choice here, I used three different shades of pink and purple and layered them up as shown, I then wrapped a piece of lilac web ribbon around my card and attached to the back of the first mount then placed a pink ribbon on top and did the same with the ends of this. Afterwards I placed the mounted image towards the left and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
I also used a La La Land banner die in purple and placed it across the top right hand corner and the final flourish is the pearls in the two opposite corners.
