Challenge #323 - Shades of Blue - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, this weeks theme over on our Challenge Blogspot and like the Pink Gem Designs one its also about

Shades of Blue

So we want to see your cards in all shades of blue and although Im sure it might be a challenge I'm sure you will be able to rise to the occasion and look forward to seeing what you came up with.
But firstly before I show you my card you will want to know who our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you don't, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation don't you think.
And now to show you what I have been up to.

This little man is titled "Ice Hockey" and you will find it here, I printed him onto white card then coloured it with my copic pens, I then cut it out with one of the Nestabilitie Die and a fancy one for the mount out of dark blue card. The sentiment is one from my stash and was used to stamp it and also mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of dark blue card, the papers I have used are from Sweethshoppe "Snowflakes" paper set, and I have used three papers from the design set.
I then placed the mounted image towards the left and the sentiment in the bottom left hand corner.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will take part in our "Shades of Blue" Challenge.

Challenge #211 - Cool in Blue - Pink Gem Designs

Good Morning Gemsters, Pink Gem Designs has changed its format slightly and we have only one Design Team and I missed their first Challenge of the Year as I was having my cataract done I do hope that you did manage a visit to the Challenge Blogspot to take part in their "Happy Anything", anyway the theme for this Challenge is

Cool in Blue

but before I show you what I have been up to, I must let you know who is sponsoring us and that is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

what beautiful and stunning images and papers that she creates for you to play with and create cards with.
And here is the card I created.

This is "Andy on a Snowboard" and you will find it here, I printed it onto white card then coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards I used a Nestabilitie rectangle die to cut it out, afterwards I created a mount out of blue card and layered them up as show in the photo.
The base card is 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is the same blue die and I have used two papers from the "Snowflakes" and you will find them here.  One of them is the background on top I have used the Martha Stewart border and corner punches and layered it on to of one another.
I then placed the mounted image in the center towards the top and below I stamps the sentiment "Let if Snow", also for the last embellishment I have punched a snowflakes and layered them up I also used glitter on the end of them and on the actual image.
Now that you've seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Cool in Blue" Challenge.

Challenge #321 - New Beginnings - The Paper Shelter

Happy New Year Paper Shelter Followers, can you believe we are already well into January, I sincerely hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and are now ready to start creating new cards for 2018, and for me I am hoping that by now I am recovering from my second Cataract Operation and not for yet another cancelled appointment, will keep you updated on that one. Good News I had my eye operation on Saturday 6th, and although its still a bit sore and bloodshot its recovering well.
Anyway for this first Challenge we are picking I feel is a ideal theme as my second eldest grandson and his wife have just become 1st time parents and  the little chap arrived on January 1st and he is my third great grandson, yes it is a boy and I was rather hoping for a little girl but maybe in time I will get my wish, and this is why the theme I have picked is

New Beginnings

This can be anything in your life which is a new start perhaps a baby, new house etc but we will leave that choice up to you.
But firstly before I show you my card you will want to know who our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you don't, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation don't you think.
And now for my card Im hoping it will be appropriate for my new great grandson what do  you think?

This little chap is titled "Boy with his Toys" and you will find him here, I printed him onto white card before colouring him with my copic pens, afterwards I used one of the Nestabilitie Labels to cut him out and then used a ink brush around the edge. I then used a fancy one for the mount out of blue card, then sentiment is also using the same die set and the sentiment was stamped onto the small one which was cut out of white card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first layer out of pink card, the backing paper is also from the same set as the image and you will find it here. On top of this I placed my mounted image in the center and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that will you pop over to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for you and hopefully you to will be inspired to enter "New Beginnings" into our  Challenge.
