Challenge #216 - Female Birthday - Pink Gem Designs

Good Morning Gemsters, I hope you are now ready for Easter and have bought all the eggs you can manage, I have to avoid them Im afraid no fair but Ive a feeling it would'nt do my diabetes any good or my waist line if I start eating them.
Anyway its Christine's turn to host the theme for this fortnight and she has chosen

Female Birthday
and of course our sponsor is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs.

But before I show you what I have been up to, I must let you know who is sponsoring us and that is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

And for my own Card I used this gorgeous image:-

This little lady is titled "Emma in a Hat" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a oval die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount behind her. The sentiment is from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image, I stamped it onto a piece of white card then mounted this onto blue card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card, the papers I chose are from Pink Gem Designs and is titled Sugarcane and you will find them here. I have used two of the papers and laid them as shown in my photo with a strip of lace down the seam.
I then placed my mounted image towards the left over the lace with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner, to finish of I have used a gem swirl and laid this down the right hand side with three nuvo drop pearls at the top.
Now that you've seen my Card I do hope you will pop over to Pink Gem Designs Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Female Birthday" Challenge.

Challenge #331 - Easter Time - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, wow only two weeks now to Easter so this weeks Challenge is to create a card to give to someone you love, and mine have already gone to our grandchildren and Im sure they are looking forward to the more important part of Easter the Chocolate Eggs not that Im allowed them these days being pre-diabetic so have to be very careful myself, boo hoo.
But before I show you my own card its now time to give you the theme and of course its all about

Easter Time

And you will find beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from to. Our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you don't, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation don't you think.

And for my own card I chose this one:-

I love this little one she is so serene looking and the title is "Peaceful Easter" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a Nestabilitie oval die to cut her own and a fancy one out of pink card for the mount, I also used the same principle for the sentiment.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. I then place a wide ribbon (from my stash of ribbons) around the card and attached it to the back of my first mount and placed my mounted image in the center with the sentiment in the top left hand corner. To finish of I have used some Nuvo drops in three of the corners.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will take part in our "Easter time" Challenge.

Challenge #215 - Easter Time - Pink Gem Challenges

Good Morning Gemsters, Its my turn to host this fortnights Challenge and as I have already posted my little ones Easter Cards this week I thought my choice of theme would at least give you time to get your own Easter Cards created for your own little ones to. So its all about

Easter Time

and fortunately Janet has lots of gorgeous Easter designs in her shop so do go and give her website a visit and choose  your own.
But before I show you what I have been up to, I must let you know who is sponsoring us and that is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

And for my own Card I used this gorgeous image:-

This little chap is "Easter Andy" and you will find him here. I printed him onto white card before colouring him with my copic pens, afterwards I used the Spellbinders Egg die to cut him out and then created a large one out of green card for the mount, the sentiment was also dont in the same way but I used a stamp for this one and layed it on its side to stamp it.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of the same green card as I used earlier, the papers I choose are from Sweetshoppe Designs and this set is titled "Eggcited" and I used 4 of the designs and then with a Martha Stewart Rabbit border punch and made several layers and layed them as shown on the card across it. Then used a large ribbon around the card and attached it to the back.
The mounted image was placed in the center with the sentiment layed in the bottom right hand corner and to finish of I have used some egg buttons down the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will pop over to Pink Gem Designs Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Easter Time" Challenge.

Challenge #329 - Let it be Spring - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, I must have been very optimistic to believe that by this date the 7th March that Spring would be well on its way here in the UK but I suppose one can always hope and pray that it wont be long before we actually see more signs of it, my garden has crocus showing and daffodils sprouting up but for the last week its been so cold that its felt more like Arctic weather than Spring, but we can always hope it wont be long now before it warms up.
Well I think I have already explained why I had been hoping there would be more signs of Spring as this weeks Challenge is all about

Let it be Spring

but instead we shall just have to show you what beautiful images we have at The Paper Shelter and lets hope that it wont be to long now.
But firstly before I show you my card you will want to know who our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you don't, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation don't you think.
And here is my card:-

This beautiful image is called "Spring Enchantment" and you will find it here, I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a oval Nestabilitie die to cut her out, and a fancy one for the mount out of aqua card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of more of the same aqua card and then on top I have used the backing paper that came with the image and you will find it here. I then placed a square doily on top and wrapped a multi ribbon around and attached to the back of the first mount.
I then place my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment below on the right hand side, to finish off I have used some nuvo drops down the right hand side.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will take part in our "Let it be Spring" Challenge.

Challenge #214 - Mothers Day - Pink Gem Challenges

Good Morning Gemsters, I do hope that you arnt suffering to badly from this Arctic Weather its been so cold here in Gloucestershire in fact its been as low as 6.4% below and then I did a daft thing I booked our poor dog in for a clip before Christmas and didn't think we would be able to get to the groomers as its 13 miles away, but we were lucky that morning but later on that day the heavens opened and down came the snow, the poor dog was the one that has been suffering ever since as one minute she had a thick coat of hair and now shes been scalped

What a mean mum but at least shes now clean and smells beau..ti..ful. Well I had better get on with this post as I have another to schedule too.
This weeks Challenge over on Pink Gem Challenges is to make a card for

Mothers Day

unfortunately I lost my dear mum 9 years ago so I'm a bit late in sending her one but I have created a card which could be sent to one of my daughters or if I change the sentiment for someone else. I have been a bit cheeky and used one of Janet's pre-made designs and I hope you like the result,  but before I show you what I have been up to, I must let you know who is sponsoring us and that is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

and now for my card.

This image is called "Peach Rose Barrow" and you will find it here, as you can see I have used the whole layout and layered it up onto pink card, then cut it out and moulded it as best I could and used silicone to give it depth.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will pop over to Pink Gem Designs Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Mothers Day" Challenge.
