Challenge #415 - For the Boys - The Paper Shelter Challenge

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers well my great grandson arrived safely two weeks ago now and he weighed in at a healthy 8lbs 5 ozs quite big for a first baby and they have called him Elijah Anthony, his mum and my daughter (his grandmother) are both doing well and Im thrilled for them both.

This weeks is all about "Boys" and as I have now got 4 great grandsons its very helpful to be able to use this theme for creating cards for their birthdays.

For the Boys

And The Paper Shelter has some fabulous images that you can use for this so I do hope that you will pop over to their website and see for yourself.

And you will find some beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from for this theme to. Our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But don't forget they will only give you the whole amount if you have used one of their images on your card but don't worry if you haven't, they will still give you 3 digi images or your own choice if you are picked as a winner.
For this weeks card I have used this image

As the eldest great grandson and his younger brother are avid footballers of course this image "The Goalkeeper" as the ideal image for me to use, you will find it here. I printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it then afterwards I cut it out with a large square Nestabilitie die and and even larger one and blue card for the mount.
The sentiment is a stamp from my stash and this has also been stamped onto white card and then mounted onto another piece of the same blue card for the mount.
The base card is 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a further piece of the same blue card for the first mount and then I used the backing paper that comes with my image and you will find that here. I placed this with a piece of football ribbon which I had wrapped around the card and fixed to the back onto the white base card and then placed my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment down in the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have used several football buttons down the right hand side and even one on the sentiment.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this  "For the Boys" Challenge to.

For this weeks card I have used this image

This image is titled "Bird Couple" and which I felt was ideal for us too you will find it here, a couple of old birds canoodling up together, I printed it onto white card then coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards I cut it out with a Rectangle Die afterwards I used a blue sponge to edge it, and then cut a larger one out of blue card for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and for my first mount I used another piece of blue card then I used a piece of Paper Boutique paper pad for my first layer and a heart doily.
On the right hand side I placed a stamped sentiment on another piece of the blue card, and also centered the mounted image towards the top and around it I put some punched out flowers and in the center I placed some pearls.
