Happy Christmas everyone

Just want to wish you all a Very Happy Christmas.....

I have a list of people
All written in a book -
And every year at Christmas time
I go and take a look.
And that is when I realise
That those names are all a part -
Not of the book they're written in
But of my very heart.
For each name stands for someone
Who has crossed my path some time -
And in that meeting they've become
A treasured friend of mine.
And once you've met some people
The years can not erase -
The memory of a pleasant word
Or of a friendly face.
So when I send an email
That is addressed to you -
It's because you're on that 'Special List'
Of folk I am indebted to.
And you are one of several folk
In times past that I've met -
And happen to be one of those
I don't want ever to forget.
And whether I have known you
For many years or few -
In some way you have had a part
In shaping things I do.
So this the Spirit of Christmas
That forever still endures
May it leave its richest blessing
In the hearts of you and yours.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and I will see you here afterwards.

Well done Lorraine and if you would like to email The Paper Shelter directly, you will find the email elf on the Challenge blogsite on the left handside, they will sort out your image for you.
And now for this fortnights Challenge we want to see "Lace" on your cards and I know if your anything like myself youve got lots of bits and bobs in your stash so start looking ladies and creating. We are of course are being sponsered by The Paper Shelter.
They are offering a fabulous prize of $20 but of course thats providing youve used one of their products on your card, but even if you havent they will still give your 3 digi images of your own choice. I must admit their images, papers and accessories are really good value and quite stunning so its worth a trip to The Paper Shelter Website to see whats exactly on offer, and they are always adding to their library.
And now back to my card for this Challenge.
For my image I chose this "Little Dressmaker" and you will find her here, Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut her out and used the die again to draw around to create the mount for it out of pink card. The sentiment is one I found on the internet and felt it went so well with the image this has also been mounted onto pink card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and for my papers I have used "The Happy Couple" and you will find them here. The first paper is a very pretty rose pattern on a pink background and on top I have used a second mount with another of the same papers a pretty flowered swirly looking pattern with a pink satin ribbon thats been wrapped around it, before sticking it to the base mount I have run two strips of lace down each sides and then stuck it down to the left of my card.
The mounted image was then positioned towards the right with the sentiment at the bottom on the left. To finish of Ive created a flower spray with several sized roses a pearl spray in the corner at the top on the left, these were stuck on top of some punched out rose leaves with some silicone glue.
Now that youve seen my card please do go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the very talented "A" Team have created for you and perhaps it will inspire you to take part in this "The Lace Look" Challenge.

Bearlymine Designs Twentysixth Challenge - "Anything Goes"

Good Morning Everyone, well its only days away to Christmas I do hope that youve nearly finished all your shopping, I have a bit of greengrocery to get then I shall be all ready for the big day. Hubby and I will be spending the day quietly with our dog Missy and perhaps if we feel up to it we shall take her for a walk after lunch. Anyway before I go any further I have some rather sad news Donna has decided to suspend The Bearlymine Designs Challenges for now as shes still unable to take part in them herself and she feels that she needs time to recoup her strength and I sincerely hope that wont be to long, but only time will tell as shes having great problems with her hands at the moment. Thank You Donna for giving me the chance to be on your team and all your beautiful digi paper work, get well quickly.
And now to get back to this last Challenge its one that I know everyone loves as its rather a free for all and that is "Anything Goes" and for this one we are being sponsered by the following companies:-

There are some really awesome prizes on offer there so Im sure you will want to take part in this Challenge, and here is my DT card I made for it.

For my image I have used The Paper Shelters "Holynight" and coloured it with my copic and tria pens before cutting it out with the Nestabilitie Rectangle die, and then used the Heart Square in lilac pearlescent card for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash thats been mounted on a piece of the same lilac card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount I have used the same lilac card and one of two papers from Donna's "Christmas Fun" Bearlymine Digi's Paper Sets, this first paper is a lovely mix of lilac and blue and on top is a deeper mauve with a snowflake design on and Ive cut a 5" square then used the snowflake border and corner punch from Marth Stewart, then on top I have used a dark mauve ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle and on the two edges I have used some Ironwork Accents from Nestabilities that have been cut out of the same lilac card and clipped on the edge of the heart square. To finish of Ive used a hellibore and two fir cones in a floral spray stuck to the card with silicone glue on some punched out holly leaves.
Now that youve seen my card please do go and visit The Bearlymine Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and perhaps you will also want to take part in this "Anything Goes" Challenge which will last for 4 weeks because of all the Christmas festivities and will finish on the 16th January, 2012.

"Its a Celebration" Challenge and Blog Hop

Good Morning fellow crafters and welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop. Our hop is a very exciting one for all of us as it is in celebration of our 1st Birthday!!!! You should have landed here directly from The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot  so you're heading in the right direction - if not then you'll want to head on back there to read all about the "Celebration Challenge" the fabulous main prize on offer and to start the Blog Hop again, as you'll not want to miss out on this one! Our Design Teams have worked very hard and are showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter Website and on each blog on the hop we are offering one lucky commenter a digi of their own choice.

For my Card in this "Its a Celebration" Challenge and Blog Hop I have used this "Happy Birthday to Me" image and you will find it here,  I have used my copics and tria pens to colour it, then used Nestabilitie Label Die No.23 to cut it out, afterwards I used the die again to draw around to create the mount for it out of deep pink card. The sentiment is one of the Stampin Up Stamps and I treated it in the same was as my image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of deep pink card and then on top I have used one of three "Birthday Cupcake" digi papers and you will find them here, the first one is a very pretty pink patterned paper, and on top I have used a pink paper and along both sides I have used a Martha Stewart parcel border punch along both edges, then for my third paper which has been mounted on more of the pink card Ive used a pink background with a swirl pattern on it.
The mounted image was then positioned in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, to finish of I have used some of the left over paper and created three rolled flowers cut with the Dia-namics die and have stuck them to my in the top right hand corner on some punched out leaves.

From here you will need to hop on over to Caroline. Don't forget to leave your comment for a chance of winning your choice of one of the fab digis available in store.

Hop! Hop! Hop!

You can take part in the Challenge without taking part in the Blog Hop if you would prefer not to.

Good luck and I hope that you enjoy your journey.

Bearlymine Designs Challenge Twentyfive - "Untraditional Christmas"

Good Morning Everyone, well yet another fortnight has flown by and weve now reached our Twentyfifth Challenge at Bearlymine Designs and this one we want to see "Untraditional Colours" on your card. The news on poor Donna is still uncertain, but I do want to wish her good luck that things will soon return to normal for her, as Im sure she really must be very frustrated with things. Anyway back to this fortnights Challenge and this time we are being sponsered by the following companies:-

Theres some really fabulous prizes there and Im sure you will want a chance of winning one of them. And here is my card for this Challenge.
The Design Team was lucky to be able to choose a image for this Challenge and I chose this "Gingerbread Bo" from Teddybo for my card, Ive coloured him with copics and tria pens then cut him out with Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 then used the same die to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one of the Flourishes circle stamps and Ive treated it in the same way as the mounted image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and Ive cut it with the Grand Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 and then cut a mount out of blue card and for my papers I have used Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Christmas Wishes" digi paper set, the first paper has lots of gingerbread men (I thought it was ideal for this image) and I cut this to fit like the first mount. The second and third papers have been cut into 5" squares and then Ive used my Martha Stewart Aspen Snowflake border and corner punches on them, then placed them on top of the first paper in an of set manner, the patterns on both were firstly a snowflake and the second was a sentiment one. Then around the middle I have wrapped a gingerbread ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have put three little pom poms on his gingerbread suit just for a bit of texture.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will now visit the Bearlymine Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully it will inspire you to take part in this "Untraditional Christmas" Challenge.

Cards for Men "Pairs Challenge" and "Blog Hop"

Another year has whizzed by and Cards for Men has now been running for two years and to celebrate we have a blog hop running as well as the usual Challenge. The theme for the usual Challenge is the number "2" interpret it how you will, two cards, two images, pairs, twinsets (card and gift) etc. We'll draw a random winner and top 3 as usual. You can get all the details and lots of ideas from the Design Team over at the Challenge Blog. And here is what I have made.

For my cards I have used this "TeddyBo in Santa's Hat" image and created two cards as my pair, both of them have been coloured with my Copic and Tria pens, and then cut out with the Nestabilitie Die Labels No.16 to cut it out and for its mount Ive used the Ornament die and run it through the my cuttlebug with a ornament embossing folder.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue for the blue card and red for the other one, and then Ive used the Papermania "Christmas Joy" paper pad in the two colours and have used three layers the second one has a strip down the card with the Martha Steward Parcel border punch used on it and the third mount is a plain colour with a pattern of ornaments on it. The mounted image was then positioned in the centre and I have then  wrapped two coloured ribbons at the bottom around the cards which have sentiments on them.

Also, we are having an Anniversary Blog Hop. You can get the full list of blogs over at Cards for Men. If you arrived here from "Patricia's" then you're on the right track. If not, hop over to Cards for Men to start at the beginning.

At each stop there'll be a word to collect and a candy draw. I've got 5 Images  from Karens Doodles to give away.

And here is what Karen says about her company:-

Karen Johnson has beendrawing all of her life. She has worked on the feature film, “Ferngully The Last Rainforest” and has created animations for Disney, Fisher Price and Mattel. She has illustrated several children’s books and is currently teaching animation at a college in Wisconsin. She started Karen’s Doodles so she could share her whimsical drawings with crafters from around the world.

To be in with a chance of winning this prize you just need to leave a comment at the end of this post. A random winner will be drawn on 19 December 2011.

Each stop will have a word which you should collect to make a festive phrase. My word is "Greetings". At the end of the blog hop you should have 9 words, work out the phrase and leave it in the comments back at Cards for Men. The blog hop will run until midnight on 18 December 2010 and a winner will be chosen on 19 December 2011.

Your next stop is "Donna". If you lose your way you can go back to Cards for Men to get the full list. Good luck everyone.
