Challenge #201 - "Love is in the Air" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, do you know I almost forgot to write this post up, that wouldnt do as a Team Leader you would think I would have things well organized but it seems Im not at my best at the moment, it was probably because I had problems with a tooth root on Saturday and completely forgot to write it up. Anyway here I am the weather is sunny but extremely cold I do hope we are going forwards with the Spring Weather and not backwards as its only a couple of days away from the 1st of May, and last week I discovered that my second great grandchild thats due in September is another little boy, so I am looking forward to meeting him when the time comes.
Anyway back to todays Challenge its all about "Love is in the Air" and I always thing Spring is probably the best time of the year for this so I do hope its coming your way to. And as always our sponsors for this Challenge are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter

http://www.thepapershelter.com/index.php?main_page=index

and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website but this is providing you have used one of their products and that could be either a Image, Backing Paper or even a Printable, but even if you have not they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice to play with. So you really cannot loose can you? And the choice on their website The Paper Shelter is amazing they are always updating their library so the choices as fabulous and the price of them is really good to.
And now for the reveal of my card.

This sweet image is called "True Love" and you will find it here, I have printed it onto white card then coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards I used a large circle die to cut it out and then layered it up on a large pink circle as a mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of pink card, the backing paper I have used is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here, it can be printed on its own without the image and thats what I have done. I then placed a heart doily in the center and I then stuck my mounted image in the middle.
To finish of I have used several roses of different sizes and created a floral spray in the top left hand corner, and the final flourish are the 9 pink pearls arranged in the other 3 corners.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for this weeks "Love is in the Air" Challenge and I sincerely hope it will inspire you to take part in it to.

The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is of orange card, the papers came from The Paper Shelters "Sophie in the Country" paper set and you will them here, I have used four paeprs and layered them up as you can see onto pieces of the same orange card.
The sentiment was created on my computer and printed and then cut out with a rounded edge die and mounted also onto orange card. And to finish of I have used some of the left over papers to create the flags that are placed down the left hand side, this were punched out with the Crafters Companion punches and stuck to the card with silicone glue.

ABC Challenges - "H is for Happy Birthday

Good Morning Crafters, well this is the first of two DT Cards today, this first one is for ABC Challenges and we have already reached the letter "H is for Happy Birthday" and we are being sponsored by Di's Digi's Stamps

http://www.disdigistamps.com/

And I decided to buy a few of these images to play with and for my card I chose this one which is "Birthday Cake Balance" and you will find it here.

And as I had just received the Happy Birthday die from Tattered Lace I thought that I would use it for this card. I cut it out from Crafters Companion Card as you can see, its double sided so I just layered it up as you can see.
The image was printed onto white card then I colour it with my copic pens and afterwards I cut it out completely and then stuck it on the edge of the D to help support it.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "H is for Happy Birthday" Challenge.

Pink Gem Challenges - "Spring is in the Air"

Good Morning Gemsters, well as you are probably aware we are already well into Spring, the weather hopefully has given us hope that the Summer will be nice and dry but I suppose I had better not speak to soon or I might just put the mockers on it. Anyway the Challenge today for Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot is going to show you that "Spring is in the Air" and as we are only just over Easter this image has already left my home on its way to the grandchildren.
We are being sponsored by our very talented Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs.

http://www.pinkgemdesigns.com/catalog/index.php
And if you click on the owl image it will take you to Pink Gem Designs website so you can browse at all the gorgeous goodies that Janet has to offer you.
For my Card I have used this sweet Chloe Image.

She is called "Bunny Chloe" and you will find her here, I have printed onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.1 to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount.
The papers I have used are from Pink Gem Designs "Spring Time" papers and they unfortunately have been retired. The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of white card and the first mount is green card and I have used two papers a plain green one for the base and a white with tulips for the other half of my scene. I then cut a La La Land fence and placed it across the skyline.
I also used a Tulip Border die also from La La Land and stuck this across the bottom, I then placed my mounted image in the middle, and a Butterfly border at the top behind the sky line.
To finish of I created a spring bouquet of tulips and wrapped a green ribbon and tied a bow I also tucked a sentiment behind it and stuck to the top of the left hand corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Spring is in the Air" Challenge.
