Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well its amazing to think that we are already on to our second Challenge for the year over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and this week its about "Winter Sports" and we want you to use one of the usual winter sports images on your card. And we have two new Team Members this time so I hope you will pay a visit to the Challenge Blogspot and meet them and see their cards.
But before I get ahead of myself our usual sponsors are as always the very generous Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and you will find them here

and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website here, providing you have used one of their products on your card and this could be either a Image, Backing Paper or Printable, but even if you do not they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice so you are not going to loose even if you dont. But dont forget you are only allowed to enter three cards or projects and one of those must carry one of their products on it.
And now to show you my card

This little lady is "Attitude is Everything" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a Memory Box die to cut her out and the Snowflake over lay out of white pearlescent card for the top.
For the card I used a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is out of blue card and the papers are from "Winter Breeze" digi paper set and you will find them here, I have used one base paper on top I have used a square of white car and two corner dies to create the snowflake corners. I then placed my mounted image in the middle.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Winter Sports" Challenge.

Pink Gem Challenges - "Lots of Pink"

Good Morning Gemsters, well its time for the Pink Team over on Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot and our host this time has chosen the colour "Pink" to be our theme for this Challenge. As always our sponsor is Janet Robers of Pink Gem Designs

And we are so lucky to be able to choose any of Janets gorgeous images to play with and I picked this one

This little princes is "Chloe in a Knitted Hat" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, then used my nestabilitie die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is also from Pink Gem Designs and this was stamped onto white card before being also cut out with a nestabilitie die and mounted onto pink card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card, the papers are "Butterfly" from Pink Gem Designs and you will find them here. I printed three of the papers the first a pretty butterfly and flower design on a white paper, and then two more of the papers were cut in strips and then I used a butterfly border punch from Martha Stewart and were placed in the middle and a pink ribbon was placed around the end of the papers and attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed towards the left and the sentiment at the bottom of the right hand corner,. I then cut out a butterfly from pink card and placed in the top right hand corner, and the final flourish are the four pink pearls that are placed down the left hand side.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Pink Team have created for your inspriation with this "Lots of Pink" Challenge..

She is called "Melody" you will find her here, and I have printed her out onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a Nestabilitie die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card, the papers are also from The Paper Shelter and this set are "Curious Cake" paper set and you will find them here. I used four of the designs, the first is a pale blue with a swirl pattern on, the second and third are cut in strips and I used a EK Success music border punch and layered up as shown down the page, the last one was mounted onto a piece of the same blue card and the first mount and this was laid on top of the edge of the other two papers.
I then placed my mounted image towards the left and two music embellishments down the right side, and the sentiment is one that I found on the internet and printed and mount up and placed in the bottom right hand corner. The final flourish are the six pearls laid the left hand side.

ABC Challenges - "Y is for your own Choice"

Happy New Year Crafters, I hope you all had a wonderful Xmas, Im scheduling this post as Im due to have my cataract done on December 29th and Im not sure if Im going to be able to write up a post on the 30th so I hope you wont mind me being a bit early with my doing this. Eye operation update, all went well though they did burst a blood vessel when injecting into the eye so was weeping blood for awhile, its extremely sore but getting better and at least the cataract has gone so I have clear vision ahead.
This first Challenge over on ABC Challenges starts with the letter "Y" and the theme is all about picking your own design and Image and for this we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter and as you probably know I have been on their Design Team for 5 years so I have quite a lot of Images to play with.
Veronica and Pedro are offering you a fabulous prize of $20. to spend on their website

And for my Card for this Challenge I chose this image

This little lady is called "She Wolf" you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a Circle die from Little B Dies they are a fabulous die company that sell their dies with a magnetic folder so you cant loose them. I used two of their other dies to create the mount the first out of beige card and the second of a darker one and layered them up as shown.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of beige card, the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here, I then printed a second one and cut it out and layered it under the mount of the image as shown in the photo. I did stamp the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner as it wasnt big enough to put a mounted one.
I then used several flowers and created the floral spray which has been mounted down the left side and across the top of my card.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will pop over to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team has created for your inspiration and hopefully you to want to take part in this "Y is for your own Choice" Challenge.
