The Paper Shelter Summer Break Challenge - Anything Goes - 2 weeks

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well as I said in my last Challenge post we have reached our Summer Break Challenge "Anything Goes" and this one will combine both the A and B Design Teams and its going to carry on for 2 weeks and we wont be commenting on your entries as when these themed Challenges are held they are always well entered and also by not doing so it gives the girls a chance to spend time with their families so I hope that you will understand why we wont be visiting you.
But firstly you will want to know who our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you dont, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation dont you think.
And now for the big reveal

This image is rather ironic as this was made to send to my great grandson last month when he went into hospital to have his tonsils out and I thought it would make a fabulous card for this challenge as well, its called "Say Aah" and you will find it here, I printed it onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens, afterwards I cut it out with a Nestabilitie Die and used a larger one and some blue card for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and was also stamped and mounted onto more blue card to.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card and the backing paper is also from the same digi set as the image and you will find it here. I then placed my mounted image in the center with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have used several medical embellishments to give it more of a clinical appearance.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Teams have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Anything Goes" Challenge.

Challenge #303 - Holiday Time - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers well hopefully by the time this post goes live I will be getting over my operation and maybe I can now get back to normal.
This Challenge this week is all about

Holiday Time

I know its only a few weeks before the children break up for their Summer Holidays and this will be our last usual themed Challenge as the next one will be our Summer Break one which means we wont be commenting on your entries and as such it gives the Design Teams a chance to spend time with their families and I hope you understand this and wish them a fabulous break.

And here is my card for this Challenge

This is such a cheerful sunny image for this Challenge and its called "Fun in the Sun" and hopefully in a few weeks time you will do exactly this, you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used the Little B circle die to cut her out and a larger one for the mount out of yellow card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mounted out of yellow card, the backing paper is also from the same digi set as the image and you will find it here. I stamped a sentiment on another piece of white card and then placed this also onto a piece of the same yellow card and placed it in the bottom of the right hand corner.
The mounted image was placed center in the circle and around it I have placed several embellishments that show everything to do with holidays, ice lollies and a yacht in the seam and a bright sun in the top right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and hopefully you will have been inspired to take part in this "Holiday Time" Challenge.

Challenge #198 - Animals - Pink Gem Designs Challenge

As with my other Challenge posts Im having to write them up in advance as I should if all goes well be recovering from a bowel operation which is supposed to take place last Wednesday, hopefully but this time it wont be long before Im allowed home.
Anyway this fortnights Challenge over on Pink Gem Designs is all about

Animals

As always our brilliant sponsor and designer is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs  do please go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

As I had a new home card to create I decided to use this cute image

This is called "Snail Home" and you will find him here, I printed him onto white card then coloured him with my copic pens, afterwards I used a Nestabilitie Die to cut him out, and placed him onto a mount of larger green card of the same shape.
The backing papers are also from Pink Gem Designs and this set is called "Slugs and Snails" and you will find them here. I have used several of the papers the make one which was stuck on a green mount is a green background with snails on, then I have created a fence with a border punch and placed it along the center, and below this i have used another paper in beige and a snail border punch and this was placed in front of the fence.
The mounted image was placed in the center towards the bottom, and for my sentiment I printed it on my computer and then mounted this on another piece of green card and placed this in the top left hand corner and used some Scrabble tiles for the actual New Home title and to finish of I have used a bee and ladybirds embellishments.
Now that you've seen my Card I do hope you will pay a visit to Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot and hopefully it will have inspired you to take part in this "Animals" Challenge.

Challenge #301 - Going Digital - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, Im writing this post well in advance as hopefully if all goes well I will be in hospital waiting sometime today to have my bowel operation, thats providing it does'nt get postponed or cancelled, and I'm leaving the running of the Design Team to my fellow Team member Nikki who I know is extremely able of taking it on, thank you Nikki I do appreciate it.
Anyway this weeks theme is all about

Going Digital

This means we want you to use a digital image and you can also use digital papers as well, which I shall do anyway.
But firstly you will want to know who our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you don't, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation don't you think.
And now to show you what I have created for this Challenge

This image is called "Business Man" and he reminds me so much of all the young men who go up to London on the train to work in the offices in the City, mind you that over 60 years ago no doubt things have'nt changed much since I worked there. You will find him here.
I printed him onto white card then coloured him with my copic pens and then cut him out with my Nestabilitie Die and made a mount out of larger one in black card. The sentiment was one I downloaded by the internet and printed it onto a piece of card and mounted this onto another piece of the same black card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of black card the backing paper is also from the same design set as my image and you will find it here. I then used another piece of black card and used a Martha Stewart punch along the edge and placed it on the left hand side of my card. I then placed my mounted image towards the left and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
I then used several embellishments, down the right hand side and a bus on the bottom under the image.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pop over to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of my very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and I hope you will want to take part in this "Going Digital" Challenge.
