Challenge #307 - Back to School - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, where do these weeks go? the children are almost back at School again after the summer holiday which Im sure they have thoroughly enjoyed and even my eldest great grandson starts School this September, hes so excited to especially since his cousin will be there to, good luck Jacob I hope you really enjoy your first day and make lots of friends to.
And now for this weeks theme as Ive already said the new year starts so no doubt youve guessed I picked
Back to School

for it and we want to see your images showing how you see it for your family, it could be little ones on their first day or the older ones starting College or University which ever applies in your family or even your friends, no doubt you have sent them a good luck card anyway, or if not now the chance to do so.
But firstly you will want to know who our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you dont, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation dont you think.
And now for the Card I created for this weeks theme:-

This image is called Science and you will find it here, I printed it onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used my Nestabilitie Die to cut her out and layered her up on some mauve card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of the same mauve card I used for my image and the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here.
I then found a sentiment on my computer and printed it and mounted it up also on another smaller piece of mauve card and placed it in the top left hand corner. The mounted image was placed in the center and then to finish of I have used several science buttons and embellishment down the right hand side.
Now that you've seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Back to School" Challenge.

"Punches and Dies"

And Im sure you must be like me I have a hell of a lot of both in my stash so you shouldnt have a problem making a card with this theme this week.
But firstly you will want to know who our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

And now for the Card I created for this weeks theme:-

This gorgeous image is "Pictures of my lil'Sister" and you will find the image here, I printed it onto white card then coloured with my copic pens then cut it out with a Nestabilitie die and I used a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of beige card and the backing paper is also from the same design set and the image and you will find it here, I then placed on top a beige paper square and I used a border and corner punch from Martha Stewart and placed it in the diamond shape. On top I placed my mounted image and the sentiment is downloaded from the internet and printed and mounted on yet another piece of beige card and placed in the bottom right hand corner.
To finish of I have used a heart punch also from Martha Stewart and then on top I have used Heart buttons and placed them in the top right hand corner and bottom left hand corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Punches and Dies" Challenge.

Challenge #200 - Birthday Wishes - Pink Gem Designs

Good Morning Gemsters, its been a month since I sat down and wrote up a complete post as you are probably aware its not been a very comfortable month off for me either, but hopefully by the time this post goes live I will be over the worst and Im looking forward to a better future.
This Challenge today is all about sending Birthday Wishes and I sincerely hope you like the card I created for it. But firstly I must let you know who is sponsoring us and that is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

what beautiful and stunning images and papers that she creates for you to play with and create cards with.
Before you go any further there is a Special Childrens Challenge over on our Challenge Blog and if your like some of the DT they have some very talented children of their own taking part so if your little people would like to take part in their own special Challenge do guide them to have a go.
And here is the card I made for you

This pretty little minx is "Fairy Faye" and I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a large die to cut her out and inked the edges with lavender inkpad and created a mount for her out of a darker mauve card, I also did the same with the sentiment. You will find Fairy Faye here on the Pink Gem Designs website.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of the same mauve card and on top of this I have used papers from the Daisies pack and you will find them here. I used three of the papers in mauve, blue and red and then used a Martha Stewart Border punch down one side and layered them up as shown in the photo, afterwards I wrapped a piece of satin ribbon around the card and attached it to the back, then placed my mounted image towards the top and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have used some check buttons in the bottom left and some pearls in the opposite corner.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot and hopefully the DT will have inspired you to take part in this "Birthday Wishes" Challenge and also the Childrens Challenge.
