Challenge #204 - Birthday Card - Pink Gem Designs Challenge

Good Morning Gemsters can you believe we have reached this months theme

Birthday Card

and its my turn to host the Challenge so I hope you will enjoy taking part, we all have a lot of birthday cards to create for family and friends I chose one of my little granddaughters as the one who will receive this cutie.
But before I show you what I have been up to, I must let you know who is sponsoring us and that is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

what beautiful and stunning images and papers that she creates for you to play with and create cards with.
And here is the Card I created for this theme

this is "Bella with Flowers" and you will find her here. I printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a oval Spellbinders die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount out of blue card.
The base white card is a 6.50"x 6.50" and for my first mount I have used blue card and the papers are also from Pink Gem Designs and this design is "Shabby Daises" and you will find them here. I printed several papers from this set in different colours then cut them in layers and used a Martha Steward border punch and laid them as seen in my photo. I then placed my mounted image in the center towards the top, and down the left hand sie I have used some orange and yellow punched out flowers and layered them up as shown.
My sentiment is a stamp from my stash and this was also mounted on a piece of the same blue card and to finish of Ive used orange and yellow tonic dew drops down the edge of the card.

Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Birthday Card" Challenge.

Challenge #311 - Colours of Autumn/Fall - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well no doubt you have already noticed that the colours of the leaves have started to change so this week I have chosen the theme of

Colours of Autumn/Fall

and Im sure you will enjoy using the beautiful colours that usual appear at this time of the year, browns, oranges, yellows etc so I look forward to seeing what you create for it.
But firstly you will want to know who our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you dont, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation dont you think.
And now to show you what my card looks like I hope you like the result

for my card I used this sweet image "Autumn Breeze" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card and used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a rectangle Nestabilitie Die to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount out of brown card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of the same dark brown card and the backing paper is also from the "Autumn Breeze" digi image and you will find it here.
For the sentiment I found it on the internet and printed it and mounted this also onto a smaller size set of dies as the image and placed this in the bottom right hand corner, I then placed my mounted image towards the top left and to finish of I have used two sizes of leaf embellishments and acorns.
Now that you've seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Colours of Autumn/Fall" Challenge.

Challenge #309 - Embossing of any kind - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers this weeks theme over on The Paper Shelter is

Embossing of any kind

This could either be with a Embossing Folder or even Embossing Powder and I seem to have used both.

And now for my own Card I hope you like it.

For my image I have used this little lady "Art deco Charm" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a Nestabilitie Rectangle die to cut her out then used a blue piece of card for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card and the backing paper I have used is the one that comes with the image and you will find it here. The I took a piece of gold card and used a Art Deco Embossing Folder and used some silver wax polish over it, and then placed this also onto a piece of blue card and mounted my image towards the left of it and placed it down the left side of my card. The sentiment is one from my stash and is also in Art Deco script and this is a stamp from my stash thats been stamped with clear embossing powder and a sparkle powder and this also was mounted onto blue card and placed in the bottom right hand corner as shown in the photo. To finish of I have used three pearls in the top right hand corner.
Now that you've seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Embossing of any kind" Challenge.

Challenge #202 - Use Kraft Paper - Pink Gem Designs

Good Morning Crafters, over on the Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot its the turn of the Pinks Team to create a card and our host this time is Lisa and she has chosen for us to

Use Kraft Paper

and Ive got to be honest I find that its quite difficult to colour on it so I chose to use Kraft paper as a backing paper and I hope that it does'nt upset the balance of my card.
But before I show you what I have been up to, but firstly I must let you know who is sponsoring us and that is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

what beautiful and stunning images and papers that she creates for you to play with and create cards with.
And here is the Card I created for this theme

This gorgeous image is titled "The Ark" and I printed a coloured image then cut it out completely ready to place it on my background you will find it here.
The base card is again a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card, the backing papers are from my stash I believe they are from Sweetshoppe Designs, and because of the water theme I have used three of them, the first a bubble one which I placed on top of my first mount, then I cut a smaller mount out of blue card and then layered up firstly the kraft paper which stood for my sky, then used a scalloped edge cutter and made two wave layers and tucked the cut out image behind the last one to make it look as if its sailing along in the water. To finish of I used some glaze over the portholes. The sentiment is one from my stash and was mounted up and placed in the top right hand corner and to finish of I have used several fish related embellishments and placed them down the left hand side.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Use Kraft" Challenge.
