Challenge #206 - Ribbons and Pearls - Pink Gem Designs

Good Morning Gemsters this fortnights Challenge is so pretty for me anyway its all about

Ribbons and Pearls

And Ive used a gorgeous image to make my card with but before I show you the results here is my sponsor information.
But before I show you what I have been up to, I must let you know who is sponsoring us and that is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

what beautiful and stunning images and papers that she creates for you to play with and create cards with.
And without further ado here she is:-

This beautiful girl is "Vintage Rose" and I printed her onto white card and for a change I used my prisma pencils to colour her I felt they were less harsh then pens and gave her a more vintage look, you will find her here.
After I finished colouring her I cut her out with a Nestabilitie oval die and then a fancy one for the mount out of a gold coloured card. The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" and for my first mount I used the same gold coloured card that I used for my mount and then placed one of the "Champagne Lace" papers from Pink Gem Designs and you will find them here.
I wrapped a gold card around one end of my card on the left and placed my mounted image towards the right, I then created a large bow from the same gold ribbon and with a strip of gold organza ribbon tied it together and placed in the center of my wrapped bow as shown in my photo. The sentiment is one I stamped and mounted it with the same gold colour card and tucked it in the middle of my large bow on the left. My last thing was to to stick yellow pearls down the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that will pop over to the Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Ribbons and Pearls" Challenge.

Challenge #315 - Halloween - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, can you believe that in a few days time it will be Halloween and so Ive a feeling you can already guess what theme we are using this week "Yes" you've guessed

Halloween

We are so lucky working with The Paper Shelter images as we have lots to choose from and I will show you the one I picked in a moment but before I do here is my usual sponsor details.
But firstly you will want to know who our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you dont, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation dont you think.
And for my image I chose this gorgeous image and this is the first time I have got around to doing just that

This little madam definitely  has attitude and she is called "Moms little Monster" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then I coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I cut her out completely and then printed the background again and placed her on top in front of the black background, this comes separately from the image so can be used on its on.
I placed the complete picture on a piece of black card and then stamped my sentiment onto another piece of card and mounted this also on a piece of black card and placed it in the bottom right hand corner.
To finish of I used a Memory box spider corner and spider pair of dies and some black card which was then placed in the top right hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and I hope that you will then want to take part in our "Halloween" Challenge.

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, I do hope you enjoyed the Autumn/Fall colours challenge a couple of weeks ago this time its all about

Music and Dance

and I know that if you are anything like me you have loads of images, papers and designs that will cover this theme and we all look forward to seeing your projects.

And for my own card this is the result, hope you like it

and this young man is "The Saxophonist" and you will find him here, I printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I used a oval die to cut him out and then cut a larger one out of brown card for the mount. The sentiment is one I found on the internet and printed it and mounted this also onto a piece of the same brown card as the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of brown card, the backing paper I also used from "The Saxophonist" and you will find it here. I then placed some sheets of actual music score on top of this first mount and used some brown ink to tone it down and age it, I also used the same brown ink of the image and sentiment.
To finish of I have used several music embellishments and placed them all around my mounted image.
I hope that now youve seen my card you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented design team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Music and Dance" themed Challenge.
