Challenge #218 - Gell Well &/or Sympathy - Pink Gem Challenges

Good Morning Gemsters well another 2 weeks have flown by and this weeks theme is all about creating a card for someone who needs our love and sympathy so the theme is

Get Well and or Sympathy

which is not always easy but Janet has quite a few designs on her website  Pink Gem Designs website and do see for yourself

for my own card I chose a complete card design "When Someone you Love" which I was able then to print and create a card as shown below.

Which I found said everything I would want to say without it being to much.
I found the design here and I printed it then onto 3 sheets of 200gsm card and then cut it out and completed it by layering up the roses as shown in the photo.
I hope that you find something that you find is exactly right either amoung your stash or if you dont own the right design do please pay a visit to Janet Roberts Pink Gem Designs website and see if you can find it there.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot and you can see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and I hope that you will take part in our "Get Well &/or Sympathy" Challenge.

Challenge #335 - Birthday Card - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, can you believe we are half way through the fourth month of the year and hopefully the weather is at last showing us its going to warm up as my Magnolia Stella has at last started to bloom just hope we dont have a late frost.
This weeks Challenge is all about creating a

Birthday Card

and if your anything like myself thats one of the main card themes I use, I have quite a big family and friends that I have to make cards for the other ones are Anniversary and Christmas but today its all about Birthday so I look forward to seeing your cards.
And you will find beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from to. Our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But as always it comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card or project, this could be a Image, Paper or Printable and even if you don't, they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, so it really is a win win situation don't you think.
And this card is for a young man probably one of my grandsons and here it is

And this little man is a "Police Office" and you will find him here, I printed him onto white card and then I coloured him with my copic pens, afterwards I used a rectangle die to cut him out, afterwards I used a fancy die to cut the mount out of beige card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is out of beige card and the backing paper is actually from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. Afterwards I mounted the image towards the left with the sentiment which is a stamped one from my stash with 3 buttons from my stash as well on the left hand side.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will take part in our "Birthday Card" Challenge.

Challenge #217 - Childrens Playtime - Pink Gem Designs

Good Morning Gemsters, well it looks at last as if Spring is on its way my Magnolia Stella is starting to flower and the Daffodils are at the best so I think it will only be a short time before the children will be out playing instead of sitting in front of the TV.
This weeks Challenge is all about

Children's Play Things

And its the theme that Marianne has chosen for us to create our cards for but before I show you what I have been up to, I must let you know who is sponsoring us and that is Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs go and visit the Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself

And for my own Card I used this gorgeous image:-

I wasnt aware till today that the sentiment has slipped so I hope you will forgive me, I suspect I corrected it before I post it of to one of our grandchildren so its a bit late to put a new photo on here. The image is "Andy on a Tyre Swing" and you will find it here.
I printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I used a rectangle Nestabilitie die to cut him out and a larger one for the mount out of green card. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of green card and the papers are from Sweetshoppe Designs and this set of papers are titled "Playground" (guys) and I have used three of the papers and a border punch down the edge from Martha Stewart. The tree die is a Spellbinders one and I placed this on the left hand side and then punched out the leaves and layered them all over the tree branches. To finish of I popped some red nuvo drops to look like apples. The final flourish is the two kite buttons down the right hand side.
Now that you've seen my Card I do hope you will pop over to Pink Gem Designs Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Children's Playtime" Challenge.

Challenge #333 - Girl Power - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, I hope you all enjoyed your Easter and are now looking forward to some better weather, I have been busy sorting our my own bedroom changing the winter scheme for the summer, I like to have more cheerful bedding and curtains but it was exhausting for sure changing them.
Anyway this weeks Challenge is all about

Girl Power

and Im sure you have absolutely loads of images and stamps to play with so the girls and I are looking forward to your own creations.

And here is my own card, I love this young lady and it reminds me of my own daughters.

This little lady is titled "I can Fix it" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card before colouring it with my copic pens, afterwards I used the Nestabilitie dies to cut her out and then used a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been stamped and mounted with a smaller die as shown for the image.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card and the paper is the backing paper from the same set as the image and you will find it here. I placed my mounted image towards the top left hand corner and the sentiment down under the bottom corner on the right, and the last thing is the button embellishments placed down the right hand side.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will take part in our "Girl Power" Challenge.
