Challenge #341 - Flower Power - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well I hope you enjoyed your Bank Holiday and are now gearing up for this weeks theme and this time its themed

Flower Power

and although at one time I would add flowers to my cards willy nilly these days because of the price of posting Ive had to resort to creating flat ones and I hope that the ones I have added to my own card wont cause to much of a problem on hubby's wallet when posting I don't think it should.
And you will find beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from to. Our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But don't forget they will only give you the whole amount if you have used one of their images on your card but don't worry if you haven't, they will still give you 3 digi images or your own choice if you are picked as a winner.
And now to show you the card I created I hope you like it

This little lady is titled "Daises in Paradise" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to cut her out and then cut it out with one of Sue Wilson's square dies, and used a larger one and some pink card to cut out the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and was then stamped and using a smaller die from the same Sue Wilson set I then cut it out and placed it on a larger one for the mount.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of pink card the backing paper is also from "Daises in Paradise" and you will find it here, on top of this I placed my mounted image in the middle and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
The Daises are actually a set of punches that I used to create 3 daises and layered them up and in the center I have used some gold glitter and then placed them around my image in the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have used some of the same gold glitter on the actual image and on the wings and toadstools I used some glitter to make them stand out.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Flower Power" Challenge.

Challenge #219 - Its a Mans World - Pink Gem Designs

Good Morning Gemsters, I hope you all enjoyed your Bank Holiday, I certainly took advantage of the heat and got my carpets shampooed something I had been waiting for to get them dry and Im really delighted with the results. How long they will stay looking sparkling is another matter as its still a building site in the field next door to us and of course all the dust, mud and grit soon get carried into our house and onto the kitchen carpet.
Anyway this weeks theme is all for the men in our life so the theme is

Its a Mans World

and we are its being hosted by Helen one of our Design Team members, and we are of course being sponsored by Pink Gem Designs and that means Janet Roberts

who not only owns the website Pink Gem Designs but is also the designer and creator of our gorgeous images, so do go and visit her website and see for yourself what stunning and usable images, papers there are to buy.
And now to reveal my own card I hope you like it

 Using Relaxing Dave

and you will find him here, I printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I used a Nestabilitie die to cut him out and a larger one for the mount out of red card. You might wonder why I have put a strip of red ribbon around the right edge, I accidentally cut the end of and have to stick it back together and hopefully it covers the cut.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of red card, the papers are from Sweetshoppe Designs and I have used four of them and layered them as shown in my photo. I placed my mounted image towards the left and the sentiment below it towards the right.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blogspot and you can see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and I hope that you will take part in our "Its a Mans World" Challenge.

Challenge #337 - Love is in the Air - The Paper Shelter Challenges

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers this weeks theme is all about "Love" and this is another of those cards that we need in our stash so that it can be sent to any of our special family or friends so please can we have a card

Love is in the Air

to cover this theme please.
And you will find beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from to. Our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.
For my own card I chose this image as with most of the youngsters today its ideal to give to any of my grandchildren thats all they seem to do is speak into or play on their mobiles.

This little lady is titled "You never know" and you will find her here. I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a rectangle Nestabilitie die to cut her out and a fancy one out of red card for the mount. The sentiment is also from the same die set and I stamped the sentiment onto white card then cut it out to fit over the red background.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of red card the backing paper is also from the same image set and you will find it here. I then laid a heart shape doily on top towards the right and my mounted image towards the right with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have created a rose bouquet which was stuck in the top right hand corner with a red ribbon wrapped and tied into a bow to hold it.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Love is in the Air" Challenge.
