Challenge #375 - Girl Power - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, here in the UK we are definitely having problems with out Spring, one minute the sun is out and its warm, but the next its raining, windy and cold again so this weeks theme is all about

Girl Power

So how you use this on your card will be up to you, but I believe us Girls are always ready to cope with most things that arrive in our lives.
And you will find some beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from to. Our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But don't forget they will only give you the whole amount if you have used one of their images on your card but don't worry if you haven't, they will still give you 3 digi images or your own choice if you are picked as a winner.
And for my own card I chose to use this image

This little lady is titled "Karate Girl" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a Tonic circle die to cut her out and then used a fancy one for the mount out of a blue card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of the same blue card as I used for the image, and the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image, and you will find it here.
I then created the sentiment from something I found on the internet and printed it onto white card before also mounting this on the same coloured cards and the image.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created with this theme "Girl Power" and I hope they will inspire you to take part in this Challenge.

Challenge #373 - Let it be Spring - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, can you believe that in the last week weve had some beautiful Spring Weather and all my snowdrops and crocus have bloomed and it was so warm we were able to turn of the central heating and keep the back door open, and it certainly benefited us with trying to potty train our new pup who is getting us up and a unearthly hour of 5am, not very helpful for us over 70s.
Anyway this weeks theme is one Im sure you will love as it opens lots of doors for your choice of images so it is

Let it be Spring

For me its the best time of the year watching new growth appear and the lighter evenings and hopefully it wont be long before we can leave the heating of altogether.

And for my own card I chose to use this image

this image is titled "Refreshing Break" and you will find it here, I thought this image was so like my eldest daughter and her loves it was ideal for this theme and I printed the image onto white card before colouring it with my copic pens, then I cut it out with a Nestabilitie die and used a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 6.60" x 6.50" white one with a first mount out of green card and the backing paper is also from the same set at the image and you will find it here. In the top left hand corner I have used a die-cut cheery blossom die with flowers and on top of the flowers I used some pearls.
The sentiment is one from my stash that I have stamped and mounted also onto a piece of the same green card.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created with this theme "Let it be Spring" and I hope they will inspire you to take part in this Challenge.
