Challenge #407 - A Christmas Card - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, can you believe that we are only about 4 weeks away from Christmas and 6 to New Year, I cannot and in 2 weeks time we will be hosting our Blog Hop and we have 21 images to give away plus the main prize from the Challenge so do join me on the 4th of December for that one.
This weeks theme is
A Christmas Card

for myself I have had mine done and written for weeks mainly because we have had a busy month with having a New Kitchen fitted and all the things that go with that, tiling, painting and installing the cupboards and of course laying the lino, not that I want to ever experience the stress again even my hubby was nearly having a break down. So I sincerely hope that this weeks theme will help you get that last one of two cards that need doing for Christmas.
And you will find some beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from for this theme to. Our Sponsors are and as always our sponsers are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But don't forget they will only give you the whole amount if you have used one of their images on your card but don't worry if you haven't, they will still give you 3 digi images or your own choice if you are picked as a winner.
For this weeks card I have used this image

For my card I have us "For being a Good Boy" and you will find it here, I love to find images that will allow the little girls in my family a chance to dream and this one certainly does, I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a rectangle die to cut her out and a larger one for the mount out of blue card.
The base card is 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card and I also used the backing paper that came with my image and this you will find here. I then mounted my image towards the left and cut out some embellishments and laid them along the bottom, I also cut out some fish and this was placed in the water around the mounted image.
To finish of I stamped the sentiment and mounted this also on a piece of blue card and positioned this at the top of the right hand side.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this  "A Christmas Card" Challenge to.

Challenge #405 - Card for a Child - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well I hope by the time this post goes live I will have a fully functioning kitchen as so far (previsous Thursday) its been a nightmare, they positioned the dishwasher so you cannot open the door completely, and the electrician put the box behind the cooker so it stands out far to much at least 4 inches away from the way, you can guess what will happen if they dont sort that out, at the moment we have just left them to it and disappeared upstairs with the dogs out of the way.
Anyway this is not getting my post written, this weeks theme is all about making and posting

A Card for a Child

of course this can cover many different occasions so we leave the choice entirely up to you.
