Challenge #425 - A Shaped Card - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, here in the UK we have been experiencing some lovely sunny weather over the last few weeks but even though the plants and trees are now growing well unfortunately because of lockdown we are unable to get out into the Forest to really enjoy it, hopefully this dreaded virus will eventually be conquered we might be able to be ourselves and free to do anything we want but as things are going at the moment Ive a feeling its going to take awhile yet for this to happen.
Anyway this weeks theme is all about

A Shaped Card

this is anything other than rectangle or square one please so get your thinking caps on and start to create.
And you will find some beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from for this theme to. Our Sponsors are and as always are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

But don't forget they will only give you the whole amount if you have used one of their images on your card but don't worry if you haven't, they will still give you 3 digi images or your own choice if you are picked as a winner.
For this weeks card I have used this image

My card has been created around a Heartfelt Card blank, the image is the "Moon Goddess" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a circle die to cut her out and a larger die for the mount out of the backing sheet that came with the image which you will also find here.
The base card was then covered with some dark blue card and the front pieces were also covered with the same dark blue card and on top of this I have used some of the backing sheet again. Then on top of this I have cut two outer pieces for the front with a Heartfelt Die. All this shapes were created using the Heartfelt Dies.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this  "A Shaped Card" Challenge to.

Challenge #423 - A Birthday Card - The Paper Shelter Challenge

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, I hope you all had a quiet Easter Ive no doubt your families were not to happy that they didn't get to see their grandparents to collect their eggs, I know my own great grandchildren normally have a Easter Egg hunt in the garden so Ive a feeling my grandson had to arrange a smaller one in his garden among all the builders flotsam as he has been extending  his bungalow and you know how it drifts into the garden.
Anyway this weeks theme is to create a

A Birthday Card

one of the most simple themes but one of the most popular.
And you will find some beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from for this theme to. Our Sponsors are and as always are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

For this weeks card I have used this image

For my card I used this "Mad about Videos" you will find it here, it was made for one of my great grandsons who's made about playing games on his gameboy, I printed him onto white card and used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used a rectangle die to cut it out and a fancy one with blue card for the mount.
For the base card I used a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card and the backing paper I have used is from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. I then placed my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment which is stamped onto a piece of white card and also mounted on another piece of the blue card and then stuck in the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I have placed several buttons down the right and left hand side.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this  "Birthday Card" Challenge to.

Challenge #421 - Easter Time - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Paper Shelter Followers, well can you believe we are already into April and we are more isolated because of this dread Coronavirus than ever, I expect in your neck of the woods the same thing is happening to you, here in the UK we are very limited as to what we can do and it doesnt make it any easier as both my family and hubbys live far to far away to help us in anyway.
Anyway lets bring some sunshine into your lives its only days away to

Easter Time

and Im sure the children wont allow us to forget that as they love having a pile of chocolate for myself being Diabetic I have to limit my intake of sugar.
And you will find some beautiful images over at The Paper Shelter and there's lot to choose from for this theme to. Our Sponsors are and as always are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website.

For this weeks card I have used this image

This image "Easter Coast" is quite a vintage image from The Paper Shelter its still available here, I printed it onto white card before colouring him with my copic pens, afterwards I used a square Nestabilitie die to cut it out and a larger one to create the blue mount behind it.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount out of blue card, the backing paper is also from the same design set as the image and you will find it here. I placed this backing sheet on top of the blue mount and wrapped a wide ribbon around the middle and attach it to the back. On top of this I have placed my mounted stamped sentiment in the right hand bottom corner, with the mounted image in the middle.
To finish of I have used several Easter egg buttons down the right and left hand side. I will probably now post this card to one of my great grandsons.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot to see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this  "Easter Time" Challenge to.
