Good Morning Everyone, well yet another week has flown by and weve now reached our twentysecond challenge and this weeks its all "For the Birds" but before I start on my post I want you all to welcome the new members to our team and they are Carol, Linda, Penni, Tracey M, Francis, Tracey V, Louise, Kim and Shari, they will start with their first DT challenge on the 3rd August, and Ive a big surprise for you on that day so do keep looking. Anyway to get back to this weeks Challenge we are again being sponsered by our Fabulous Sponsers "The Paper Shelter"
"The Paper Shelter" you will see for yourself that they not only have fabulous images but also some really gorgeous co-ordinating papers.
Heres my card for this weeks Challenges.
"Bird Couple" for my image and you will find them here, Ive printed the image onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour it afterwhich Ive used the square Nestabilitie to cut it out, then with the Beaded Square Die for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was cut out with my rotatrim and mounted on a piece of left over pink card.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and one of two papers from The Paper Shelters "Sweetest Love" papers and you will find them here, this first one is a pink background with heart edges and hearts randomly spread all over it, the second is another pink paper with more hearts on and this was cut into a 5" square and then one of the heart border and corner punches used on it, this was then layered up and a pink ribbon was then layed across the middle and attached at the back of the first mount.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, I also made a pink bow with a bit more of the ribbon and stuck it to the right side of the image. To finish of Ive created a flower spray with five roses and some punched out leaves in the top left hand corner these were stuck on with some silicone glue.
Now that youve seen my card do please go across and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the design team have created for you, and hopefully this will inspire you to take part in this weeks Challenge "For the Birds".
