Challenge #9 - Cards for Men - "Animals"

Good Morning Crafters, I hope youve all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to take part in this fortnights Challenge over on Cards for Men, and this one is all about "Animals" and we are being sponsored by "Paper Pretties" this is a new one to us and here is, and this is what they say about themselves:-

Pretties is an online crafting store, and home to Zac, Lily, Sophia and Cooper - the cutest kid stamps around! (At least we think so). We have many exclusive stamp lines, from elegant to whimsical, sweet to clever; there is something for every stamper in our Pretties' Boutique.

Along with our full line of high quality clear stamps, we also have a large selection of digital images.

not sure what the prize is so please see on the Cards for Men

And we were lucky enough to be given images to play with and I chose this one,

and here is called "Paulie the Guitarist" and you will find him here and I have printed him onto white card then coloured him with copic pens, then I cut him our with my rotatrim and layered him up on a piece of red card. The sentiment came with him and I chose this one for my image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, the papers I have used are from Sweetshoppe Digi Papers this set is called "Circus Burst" and I have used several of the papers the first one is a white background with a multi coloured stripes on, the second and third papers I have cut a corner and used on of my Martha Stewart Border punches on it, then placed them in the bottom right hand corner.
The mounted image was then placed in the top left hand corner and put the sentiment across the bottom right hand corner, and I have used a Dienamics "Rock Star" set of dies to create the flames, stars and the guitar and these have been placed all over the card.
Now that you have seen my card I do hope that you will go and pay a visit to the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot, and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will want to take part in this "Animals" Challenge.

A Card for Crafters Companion Challenge

Good Morning Crafters, wasn't yesterday gorgeous and I thought today was going to be the same but its gone cloudy already so I suspect that was the end of our spring, I do hope the summer bring better weather than last year or Im going to be fed up. Its a busy week in the Chalmers household this coming week, both hubby and I have hospital appointments his Thursday and mine Friday it wouldnt be so bad but its over 20 miles away, its a shame they couldnt get their act together and have it on the same day but you know what hospitals are like.
Anyway todays card has been made for this months Crafters Companion "Flowers" Challenge, and I have cheated and used one of their card companions, I printed it out from the gorgeous Christine Haworth "Poppets" Cd and made it up as it suggests but changing the lace strip down the side with their embellishments, I also popped some carnations down it to, just to give it more focus. The sentiment is also from the same kit and was placed at the bottom below the image.
This Card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

I hope you enjoy my images and would love to see any creations you make with them.

We were lucky enough to be given several images to chose from and I picked this one for my Card.

I printed the image onto Kraft card then used my Lyra Polychrome Pencils to colour it, afterwards I used my rotatrim to cut it to size, I then placed it onto a piece of brown card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of brown card and I then used a "Go Kraft" printed digi paper from Sweethshoppe Digi Downloads for my first mount and then placed my mounted image in the center.
I then used some of the brown paper and Britainnia sentiment dies to create the Happy Birthday at the bottom which was stuck on the slant.

Challenge #107 - The Paper Shelter - "Spring Delights"

Good Morning Crafters, when is Spring going to start, my garden has some crocus out and a few daffodils in but its so depressing as normally at this time of the year more green would be showing on our bushes and trees, but here in Gloucestershire everything seems to be on hold I do hope it soon warms up and starts to feel warmer, lets hope it wont be long.
Anyway todays Challenge over at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is I hope the start of this process as we want to see some "Spring Delights" on your cards, colour, image and even hopefully some flowers and as usual our very generous sponsors are Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter and they are offering you a fabulous prize of $30.
And this is providing you have used one of their images on your card, but even if you havent they are still going to give you three images of your own choice. Ive also got some brilliant news as we are nearing a 1000 followers and once weve hit that target they are going to offering you some really fabulous prizes, and we are only 4 people away from that magic time.
And now here is my card for this weeks Challenge I hope you like it.

Isnt she cute and this image is called "Enchanted Love" and you will find her here, Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I have used Nestabilitie Die No.7 to cut her out then drawn around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is one of my stash and its been then stamped onto a white card and cut out with a tag die, and I have created the mount in the same way as the image's mount by drawing around the die and then cutting out.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, and papers I have used are from The Paper Shelters "Zoe's Spring Papers" quite appropriate and you will find them here. I have then placed a very pretty pink one for my first mount is has flowers all around the edge of it, then used a green paper and a large doily die from Create, and placed it on top in the center.
The mounted image was then placed towards the top left hand corner and the tag sentiment tucked behind it at the top on the right. I then used several swirl dies on some green card and also used a Joy die to create the leaf sprays and created a corner at the bottom on the right hand side. Afterwards I used several rolled flower dies to create the flowers, then placed them at different places in different sizes along the whole length of the spray.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this weeks "Spring Delights" Challenge.
