Challenge #135 - "Halloween" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Everyone, well its only a day away from Halloween and we decided we would again have this as this weeks theme so I do hope that you are not all Halloweened out just yet and to add to it I have actually created two cards for you to see. I stupidly made one then made another later thinking that I had not done so, well now you will decide which one you like the best or at least enjoy them both.
As always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30.

But as always we expect you to use on of their products on your card, but even if you dont you will still be eligable to 3 digi images of your own choice, but if your quick you can still get hold of one of their Halloween images at a reduced prize as they have a sale on at the moment and you will find them here, so do go and visit their website and see for yourself what stunning images they have on offer and treat yourself while you can at a brilliant price.
And now to show you what I have been upto, as I said I have two cards to show you, I do hope you like them.

This is the "Halloween Spirit" and you will find her here

And this is "Incantation" and you will find her here

For the papers I used for the top card "Happy Holigans" from Nitwits and I also used Nestabilitie Pumpkin Die for the mounts and Die-namics Pumpkin dies and stamps for the die cuts, I also used a Martha Stewart pumpkin border punch on one of the papers. I also used some Halloween charms around the mount.
For the second Card I have used Sweetshoppe papers I cant remember which ones as they were some that I have left in my stash which I thought went well with my image. I have used Nestabilitie dies to cut her out and mount her, a Memory Box Spider corner and Spider. I have also used some more Halloween charms to add around the image. The sentiment is one from my stash, I should also say that around the edges I have distressed it with the Tim Holtz distressing tool.
I do hope that now youve seen my cards that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the Design Team have created for your inspiration and that you will want to take part in this "Halloween" Challenge.

Good Morning Crafters, well yet another two weeks have flown by and again its time for another Challenge over on Cards for Men, and this time is all about Congratulations and we have actually themed it as "Way to Go" and we are being sponsored this time by Paper Pretties.

And they are offering a fabulous prize of 6 digis of your own choice

And here is what they say about themselves:-

Pretties is an online crafting store, and home to Zac, Lily, Sophia and Cooper - the cutest kid stamps around! (At least we think so). We have many exclusive stamp lines, from elegant to whimsical, sweet to clever; there is something for every stamper in our Pretties' Boutique.

Along with our full line of high quality clear stamps, we also have a large selection of digital images.

And we were very lucky to be able to choose a image to play with and I chose this one

Hes called "Za Za Zumba" and you will find him here, I printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I used a Nestabilitie Die to cut him out I also used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment also came with the image and I also printed this onto white card and mounted this also onto blue mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and the papers I have used are from Sweetshoppe Digi Papers and this set is called "Politics 2012" as I thought the colours went well with the colouring of the image.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this weeks "Way to Go" Challenge.

Good Morning Crafters, well this is the second DT Card that I have made for this weeks Sponsor and this one for The Paper Shelter is all about using limited Colours and we want you to use Two main ones, and I have used Red and Blue.
But before I show you my card you will want to know more about who is sponsoring us and what the fabulous prize is and as always Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter are offering a brilliant prize of $30.

And this is providing you have used one of their products on your card, this could be an image, paper or even a printable, but even if you dont they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice. And they are already creating Christmas images so if you take a trip to their website The Paper Shelter you will be able to get ahead with all your Cards.
This is the time I like best showing you what I have been upto

for my card I have used this sweet image titled "The Beautiful Flight Attendant" and you will find her here, I have printed the image onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I have cut her out completely ready to add her to my background. The sentiment is one from my stash and this has been cut out and placed on a La La Land banner die which has been cut on in the pink card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and I have used the background paper that came with my image and again you can find it here with the image. The die cuts are from Marianne and I have placed them at a angle in two opposite corners then placed the cut out image in the box in the center and the sentiment below across the bottom right hand corner.

Challenge #21 - "Halloween" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Crafters well this fortnights Challenge over on Cards for Men is being sponsored by my favourite company The Paper Shelter and this time its all about "Halloween" and if you like me you have several little ones you like to send cards to so now is your chance to get ahead of the date and use your Halloween stamps to create a card.
As I said we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter

And they are offering a fabulous prize of :- $20 Gift Certificate
And this is what they say about themselves:-

If you are looking for fun, cute and lovely digi stamps for your paper-crafting or web design projects, The Paper Shelter is your one-stop boutique! This growing catalog of high-quality digi stamps with many different kind of options offers a multitude of themes such as everyday items, holidays, special occasions, children, adorable characters and creatures. Stamps are available in standard black and white line art, as well as in pre-colored format.Images are wonderful for coloring and make perfect additions to greeting cards and scrapbook albums.

And as I work with The Paper Shelter I was lucky enough to be able to choose any of the image to play with and for a change I used this one for the first time.

This is the "Little Apprentice" and you will find him here, and he does remind me of Disney's The Apprentice where Mickey Mouse does awful things with the Magicians things, anyway I have printed him onto white card then coloured him with my copic pens, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.1 and a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and this has been stamped also onto white card then mounted onto black card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of black card, and the papers are from some scrapes I had left in my stash and they are a mixture of black, beige with has had the edges torn and purple with spirals on it.
On top of this I have cut and placed a spiders web from Memory Box in the top left hand corner and dangled a spider from this also a Memory Box die. The mounted image was then placed in the center towards the top, then down the right I have used ghosts also another of the Memory Box dies, then at the bottom I have placed my sentiment.
Now that you've seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Cards for Men Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented design team have created for your inspiration and then take part in this "Halloween" Challenge.

Good Morning Crafters, well tomorrow Im of to Scotland for my eldest daughters Wedding on Saturday and this will be my last post for a few days, hopefully the weather will stay nice and dry and not to chilly as Ive already been warned, keep your fingers crossed.
Before I tell you again about our sponsors I must introduce you to our two new DT members and they are Anna and Eileen (who has joined us from Maries Team) and is unfortunately unable to join us for this first Challenge as shes away on holiday at the moment, and I do hope that you will pay a visit to both of their blogs and congratulation them on joining us and wishing them all the best during the time with us. Anyway this weeks Challenge over on The Paper Shelter the theme is "Shabby Chic" and as always our very generous sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a prize of $30.
But as always the rule is you must have used one of their products on your cards, that could be either a image, paper or printable and you will find them here with brand new images being uploaded often.
But even if you havent used one of their products they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice, that is one generous offer dont you agree you really carnt loose with this Challenge.
And now for my Card here it is:-
For my card I have used "Adorable Miss Hall" you will find her here, I have printed her onto white card and I have coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I cut her out completely. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was then placed on a banner die cut from Memory Box.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pale green pearlescent card, then on top I have used the backing papers that came with the image and I have printed several pages and then layered them up, but before I actually did this I used a Tim Holtz distressing tool on the edges to distress them.
I then cut several leaf sprigs with the Tattered Lace die and placed them around the top of the top layer, and created a flower and placed it in the corner. The cut out image was then placed in the center of the top layer and the sentiment banner down below.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you will also want to take part in this "Shabby Chic" Challenge.
