The Hop is our way of inviting you to join in with us and this one is a  "A Special Celebration" theme, which I know is extremely popular!!!! If you have landed here from The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot then you're heading in the right direction - if not then you'll want to head on back to start again, as you'll not want to miss out on this one! Our Design Team have worked very hard and are showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter Website and each blog on the hop is offering one lucky commenter a digi of their choice as well as the main prize, details of which are on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot.
For my image I have used this sweet Dragon image titled "Dragons Birthday" and you will find him here, and I printed him several times onto semi-gloss photo paper then cut the first one out with a oval Nestabilitie Die and then can a fancy one for the mount. I then cut the other printed images into layers to create a decoupaged image and stuck them up into layers to make him 3D.
I then used the "Birthday Cupcake" papers and you will find them here, I used three of the papers and layered them up as shown the second one was cut in a strip and I used a Martha Stewart border punch. I used My Craft Studio to create the sentiment badge and placed it in the top right hand corner, the No.4 was from my stash and was coloured with a inkpad and to finish of I have used cupcake buttons down the right hand side.
From here you will need to hop on over to Angela. Don't forget to leave your comment for a chance of winning your choice of one of the fab digi's available in store.

Challenge #177 - "Shabby Chic" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Crafters, do you know I almost forgot to write up my DT post for The Paper Shelter, its been a busy couple of days and it went out of my head completely, I was just going to turn of my computer when I realised I hadnt written it up yet. Anyway this weeks Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot is all about being "Shabby Chic" and I know its debatable as to what is termed as this anyway we leave the choice upto you how you wish to interpretate it. And when you go to visit the Challenge Blog you will see that we have two new Team Members on my A Team and I do hope you will give Jan and Sandra a very warm welcome.
As always our sponsors are Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

But as always this comes with the rule that you must have used one of their products on your card, and that could be either Image, Paper or Printable but even if you havent they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice.
And now I want to show you what I have made for this Challenge.

For my card I have chosen this "Time for Tea" image from The Paper Shelter and you will find her here, and I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her. Afterwards I cut her out with a oval Nestabilitie Die and used a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of beige card, I then used the background paper that came with the image and on top of this I have used a circle doily and distressed it with a beige inkpad.
I then placed my mounted image in the middle and the sentiment is one I stamped and mounted on a smaller oval die and mount which was then placed in the bottom right hand corner. I then used several sized roses to create two flower sprays which were placed either side of the image, then below I have used some clock faces and the final flourish are the pearls placed in the top right and bottom left hand corner.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Shabby Chic" Challenge.

ABC Challenges - "U is for Unique"

Good Morning Crafters over on the ABC Challenge Blogspot we are onto another new month and this first one is "U is for Unique" and we are being sponsored by

http://www.stampandcreate.com/

And for my Card I used this gorgeous Magnolia Stamp

she is titled "Tilda with a Bunny Balloon" and I stamped her onto white card before using my Nestabilitie Label Die No.8 to cut her out then used a fancy one for the mount our of pink card. The sentiment is one from my stash and this was stamped onto white card and I then used a label die to cut it out and another for the mount out of the same pink card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of pink card and the papers I used are from Sweetshoppe Digi "A Happy Thought" digi paper set, I used a very pretty paper for the first mount and then I used a square doily placed on top, along the bottom is another of the papers from the set and I used a heart border and stuck it along the bottom.
I placed my mounted image towards the right and then placed my sentiment along the bottom under it. I then used several different sized roses and created a spray with some pink tulle under it and white pearl sprays. To finish of I have used three pearls in two opposite corners.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you will pay a visit to the ABC Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will take part in this "U for Unique" Challenge.
