Challenge #147 - "Animal Magic" - The Paper Shelter

Good Morning Crafters, well its almost March and so far weve seen so much rain Im beginning to wonder if we will ever had decent weather again, my bulbs are beginning to show and even some buds so at least I should be getting some colour soon. Anyway we have another Challenge over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and this one is themed "Animal Magic" and we want to see what you can create with animals as your main image, so Im so looking forward to seeing what the entries will be like.
Anyway Im getting ahead of myself and you will want to know what fabulous prize Veronica and Pedro are offering and that is $30.

http://www.thepapershelter.com/

But this is only if you have used one of their products on your card, this could be a image, paper or printable and they do have some on special offer as well, so its well worth a visit to their website here The Paper Shelter. But even if you havent they will still give you 3 digi images of your own choice so you really cant loose with this Challenge can you?
And now I want to show you what Ive created for this Challenge and here he is:-

Hes called Henry in my world but the actual image is titled "How are You Doin" and you will find him here, though to be absolutely honest hed be a good advert for "Should have gone to Specs Savers" as he seems bit short sighted fancy thinking the cactus was a friend, oh well never mind. Ive printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him afterward I used Embossing Folder to print the edge around him then cut it out with scissors to create the scalloped edge. This was then placed on a green Oval Nestabilitie Die background. The sentiment is one from my stash thats been also mounted on the same green card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green card and the papers are from the Pollyanna Pickering CD from Cupcake Crafting and I have used two of them, one has a hedgehog print on it and the second has a smaller on on and I have used a border punch on this, then on top is another mount of green with a check pattern on which has been placed down the card.
I then used a Memory Box die to create the two dark green trellis's and these were stuck across the top and bottom, then the mounted image was placed in the center with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will go and visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the A Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Animal Magic" theme Challenge.
And do please come back on Saturday as I have some very exciting news for you and look forward to letting you into the secret.

and as always this is providing you have used one of their images on your card, and it was lovely to see that a lot of you had used them on our last Challenge and I hope you will do again this time, but even if you dont they will still offer you 3 digi images of your own choice if you are picked by Random Org. You will find some fabulous images, papers and printables here on their website The Paper Shelter.
For my card I used this gorgeous image

She is titled "Attitude means Everything" and you will find her here,  I have printed her onto white card then used my Tonic Square die to cut her out and a scalloped one for the mount. I used some snow writer foam on her collar and cuffs also on her ear muffs to. The sentiment is one from my stash thats been stamped onto white card and then cut out by a circle die and mounted on a punched out Snowflake.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white with a first mount of blue card and the paper is from the Sweetshoppe Designs its a blue background with snow on it and clouds. On top of this I have placed a diecut Fir tree which was cut with Marianne Die, and a used a Memory box border die of trees along the bottom.
I then placed my mounted image in the center and before adding the extra's I took a piece of white pearlescent card in a 7"x 7" size and used another of the Martha Stewart large Border and Corner dies to create the background which was then placed behind the first mount making the card larger.
To finish of I have cut out the ski's and sticks with a Marianne Die and placed to the right of the main image, the final flourish is the two layered snowflake at the top on the right and the sentiment on the left.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope that you will pay a visit to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of Maries B Design Team have created for your inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Punches and Dies" Challenge.

Good Afternoon Crafters, its a beautiful day here in Gloucestershire and it does make such a wonderful change from all that rain, but knowing how its been going lately I wouldnt be surprised if it didnt start again in the near future but while its out my dog is thoroughly enjoying it.
Todays card was created for a dear friends Birthday and as shes got 4 beautiful ginger British Shorthair Cats and Im hoping that this little cutie will fill the bill for her. I have printed it onto white card then coloured it with my copic pens. Afterwards I cut it out with my Nestabilitie Rectangle Die and then used a Pearl Effect one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and this has been also stamped onto white card and then layered up onto another of the same Pearl effect mount.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card and I then used a piece of pink Card and used a deep effect flower border and corner punches from Martha Stewart, and then on top is a 6"x 6" pink card and the paper is from My Minds Eye "Heirloom" paper pad, and around the center I have wrapped a piece of white lace and two ribbons laid on top of one another and attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed in the center with the sentiment below on the right hand side.
The final flourish is the flower spray in the top left hand corner which comprises of five roses and four rose buds and pearl sprays these were then placed on top of silicone glue and punched out rose leaves.

Aurora Wings Ballet Dancer

Good Morning Crafters, well its stopped raining for a couple of hours but we have been promised some more this afternoon, and I see its been flooding down on the Severn this morning and its cut of Gloucester for those living near it. Anyway I printed this image about a week ago and I just couldnt decide what colour to do her, as shes from Swan Lake, and of course they are all white so thats what I plumbed for. I have coloured the roses on her headress and down around her dress and then cut her out with my Grand Oval Die from Nestabilities and used a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one I googled and then cut it out with a fancy tag die.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of white pearlescent card thats been put through my embossing folder and then I have used a fancy doily towards the top and die cut a swan with one of the Tattered Lace dies and placed them at the bottom on the left.
Around the middle I have wrapped a piece of crinkled white ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount and then placed my mounted image towards the right. The sentiment was placed at the bottom below the image. And to finish of I have used several pink roses and some punched out rose leaves to create a floral spray in the top left hand corner.
