Our Design Team Leader Christine asked the DT Teams if they would create a card for this weeks Breast Cancer Aware week, and we are hosting a "Pink" Challenge so I do hope that you will take part and get the ball rolling I have created a card myself but before I show you, we are of course being sponsored by the very talented Janet Roberts of Pink Gem Designs
Janet creates such beautiful images to play with and for my card I have used this little lady
She is called "Poppy" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a oval Nestabilitie Die to cut her out and a Floral one for the mount out of pink card, the sentiment is one from my stash thats been then cut out with a smaller die and mounted also onto a oval fancy die from the same die set and the one used for the image.
The base card is 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is out of pink card to, the papers are also from Pink Gem Designs and is called "Sweetheart Papers" and you will find them here. I have used three of the papers the first a all over pink background with white hearts on the second is a stripe one which has been cut into a square and I have used a border and corner punch set from Martha Steward and stuck in onto the base card, I then used a pink background with small hearts and this was also cut into a square and punched with the same corner and border punch set as the first one this was then off set on top of the first one.
I then placed my mounted image towards the left and the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner. To finish of I created a bow with net and pink organza ribbon and placed this in the top right hand corner, and in the other two corners on the left I have used pink pearls in different angles.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will pay a visit to the Pink Gem Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the very talented Design Team have created for yours inspiration and hopefully you to will want to take part in this "Breast Aware Special Challenge" and look forward to seeing your cards and projects.
