Good Morning Ladies, todays card has been created for the Lili of the Valley Challenge, a sketch by Bev, and I have used this lovely little image of a young girl carrying a bouquet of flowers, and I have actually made a anniversary card with it and as I have a couple still to make for friends I thought that this was just the image to use.
Ive stamped her out onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, but because the image was to big to cut with the oval die, Ive cut around the flowers before slipping the die behind the flowers to cut them out. I then cut a scalloped oval mount for the image to be mounted on. The sentiment is one from my stash, but Ive actually distressed around both the image and sentiment with a catseye inkpad before mounting them up ready for the card.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first layer of pink card and two of the papers Ive used are from the Rose Garden Papermania pad, a lovely pink rose and paisley design and a green misty diamond design, and across the join I have wrapped some lace and attached it to the back, then stuck my mounted image in the centre and my sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, as Bevs sketch denotes.
The flowers were created with some of the left over papers all from the same Rose Garden set, these were punched out and moulded with a ball tool before before being layered up and some green stickles put in the centres, they were then stuck to the card on top of some punched out maidenhair fern leaves.
I have entered this card into the following challenges :-
