A Card for Mo and Cute Card Thursday Challenges

Good Afternoon Everyone, well the sun is out but its rather chilly in the wind, but at least its dry, lets hope it lasts and tomorrows big event is not rained on as weve been promised it would be such a shame if it did. Im really excited about it and will be watching with my nose to the TV tomorrow and I suspect a lot of you will be to.
Anyway todays card has been made for Mo's "Girly" and Cute Card Thursday "Sketch" (this is has been created using the Challenge posted on the 24th March) Challenges, Ive used this little madam who Mo has called "Diva" and Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, I then used the Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut her out and again used the same die to draw around and create the mount for her. The sentiment is one of CC ones and Ive stamped and mounted it in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount Ive used dark mauve pearlescent card with one of three papers from Kaisers "Lilac Avenue" paper collection, the first paper is a dark mauve pattern with a glittered pattern on, on top of this I have used a second paper which has a white background and multi coloured seed heads on, the third paper is an oval with a lime green pattern on, and for my down strip on the left Ive used a left over piece of the same card thats been run through my cuttlebug and one of the flower embossing folders.
Across the middle I have wrapped a piece of lace with a strip of seam binding at the top, then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. To finish of Ive created a flower spray in the top left hand corner with five different sizes of roses, then stuck it to the card with some silicone glue and punched out fern leaves.
Ive just discovered it should have been pink and girlie for the Mo Challenge, but I hope they will forgive me for this booboo.

Do you know I just dont know where these weeks go, as here we are at yet another Challenge at The Paper Shelter, and this weeks Challenge is the theme "An Ode to Mum" and Im sure it will give you lots of ideas to make a card to this one, but before I start showing you what I have created for you I want to remind you to be able to win this fabulous voucher

And they are always adding new images to their website not only that but also some really fabulous papers.
Heres my card for this Challenge
I have used The Paper Shelters gorgeous image of a mother rabbit with her babies and you will find her here, and printed her out onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards Ive used the Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut her out and then used the same die to create the mount out of mauve pearlescent by drawing around the die then cutting it out with a pair of scissors. The sentiment is one of my stash ones I think it might be one of the Pink Gem ones, sorry I carnt remember at the particular moment. Ive cut this out with a circle die and mounted it also onto a larger one out of the same card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with yet another piece of the same mauve card and three papers from The Paper Shelters own designs, the first one is a pretty paisley pattern in shades of mauve and on top of this I have layered up two more of the papers one a pink stripe and the other pink paisley both these have had their edges punched with the doily lace border bunch from Martha Stewart. I then wrapped a piece of beautiful lace that I had from Wild Orchid Crafts and this was attached to the back of the first mount.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. To finish of with the scrap pieces left I created three flowers with the Marianne flower dies and mounted them onto silicone glue and punched out leaves in the bottom left hand corner.

A Card for Several Challenges

Good Morning Everyone, and a Very Happy Easter I do hope that you are so far enjoying the long weekend and the weather, though it did go cloudy at times yesterday and chilly but at least the sun is up and the sky is clear and blue so lets hope todays weather is better. Ive got a tale to tell you, yesterday we had a racing pigeon drop down in our back garden he probably thought that our shed was his loft. anyway I tried to catch him but he ran and hid behind some of my potplants and he did look so tired so I asked my hubby to find the wild bird food and some water and we would see how he got on. Anyway later on I went out into the garden and he was wondering around and eventually I managed to catch him, I then called hubby to bring some paper and a pen to take down the numbers on the ring which he did, then he had to run around to find a box to pop him in, we then left him in the box in the shed while I went to find a local pigeon racer for help. Luckily he said that he would take it and rest it and hopefully let it of home when it was better. When we got back home hubby told me that the number on the ring was a French one and he obvilously flown well of his  route just hope he manages after a rest to find his way home or perhaps the club will sent him by mail back to France.
Well now youve heard my story of yesterdays doings, I also want to thank all you lovely people who liked my Carnival card from yesterday I had this vision in my head and I just hoped that when I managed to get in onto the card it would look good, and on the whole it turned out well so thank you again for the lovely comments you left me. Well todays card has been created firstly for three Challenges but if I find some more I will add them later, the first Challenge is for Totally PaperCrafts "Weddings", then Stampin for the Weekend "Weddings" and finally Just Magnolia's "Sketch", Ive stamped Tilda and Edwin onto white card then used my Copic and Tria pens to colour them, then used a circle Nestabilitie die to cut them out and the brand new heart circle for the mount. Ive discovered from experience this die doesnt work to well in the Cuttlebug it works better with the Grand Calibur. The sentiment is one from my stash.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and a first mount of pink pearlescent card and Ive used one of two papers from the "Confetti" paper pack from Papermania, the first paper is a pretty white background with butterflies on, for my second mount Ive used a confetti type one thats on a white background to, the third mount is a piece of the same pink card thats been run through my Cuttlebug with a small heart embossing folder.
I positioned my image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, I then stuck three pink pearls down the two opposite corners and created a flower spray with several sizes of roses in the top left hand corner and stuck them to my card with silicone glue with punched out fern and rose leaves.

A Card for Two Challenges -Mo's and Cute Card Thursday's

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Easter, I hope your in the Carnival mood as this card has been created for Mos Challenge "Carnival" and Cute Card Thursday's "No Text", I have used one of the Make it Crafty images a Carasol for the background stamp and Mos Candyfloss Girl for the front. Ive printed them both onto white card and used my Copic Pens and my Tria Pens to colour them both, then cut the larger one into a square and mounted it onto yellow pearlescent card. The little girl has been cut out completely ready to decoupage on afterwards.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with one of two papers from the Nitwit Downloads "Big Top" papers and a piece of yellow card for the first mount, then on top of this is a stripped paper from the same set thats had both of its borders bunched with a star border punch from Martha Stewart, this was then stuck down the middle of my first layer.
I then used two stripes of large spotted ribbon as a break at the top and bottom and on top of this towards the right Ive placed my mounted image, and decoupaged my little girl towards the bottom on the left. To finish of Ive printed a banner strip from the same set of Nitwit Downloads and placed it across the top of my card.

The sentiment is one that I got from TLC and found that it was ideal for this little character.

I know she was desparate to do this race for along time and now she has and has received her finishers medal to display amoung her other medals. She loves running and belongs to a running club in Lanarkshire (in Scotland) where she lives.

A Card for Sunday's with Santa Challenge - "Monochromatic"

Good Morning Everyone, wow the sun is out and its absolutely gorgeous outside and theres me trying to catch up with myself. My eldest daughter Karen is taking part in the London Marathon so Im trying to keep tabs on her to, shes flown down from Glasgow to take part in the race and I want to wish her all the best, shes a real devoted runner and Im sure with her determination she will achieve her very best, I sincerely hope so as she would be very dissappointed if she didnt finish the race, she promised to let me know how she gets on, lets hope shes not to shattered to do so.
Todays card has been created for this weeks Sundays with Santa, its a Challenge site that Pops has created to allow us to make cards for this coming Christmas, and as we all struggle to get enough together this is a fine and fun way of doing so, at least you should have 50 cards by the time it comes around. This card is to follow last weeks theme which was "Monochromatic" and as I was away in London Im a week behind, if your interested in taking part this weeks Challenge is "Purple and Green" thats some combination you will find the site here so do pop across and have a look for yourself.
Ive used this sweet image of Santa and then my Tria pens to colour it in tones of grey and black, then cut it out with the rectangle Nestabilitie Die, then used a Deckle Edged one for the mount. The sentiment is one of the LOV ones thats been given the same treatment. The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of black card and one of three papers that I found in my stash, the first one is a black spot paper and on top is a white with black spotted and Ive used a snowflake border punch down both edges and stuck on top of the first layer, the third paper is a black and white stripe thats then been stuck on top of the spotted one.
Around the middle is a black satin ribbon thats been attached to the back of the first mount, then I stuck my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive used two snowflake buttons at the top on the right and a snowman at the bottom on the left.

A Card for two Challenges

Good Afternoon Everyone, Im so sorry Ive been rather lapse this week putting up cards on my blog, Ive got to admit to you that Ive been in rather a lot of pain due to a lower bowel infection, wont go into details but its rather put me of creating though I have been busy in my craft room and I did make two DT cards so Ive not been totally lazy but I have been pushing myself to try and make amends and this is the result a card for at least two Challenges Mo's "A new Beginings" and Cute Card Thursdays "Weather Inspired" and Ive used this image of a little lass "Waiting for Rain" its the first time Ive used this one and I also used it for CCT Challenge which is weather inspired and I hope that this image will cover both challenges. Ive printed her onto white card then used my brand new Tria Pens on it, wont go into details but thats another story to, Ive been waiting three weeks for them to arrive they did yesterday but theres been lots of problems with them like broken fine nibs and three with bullet nibs instead of fine nibs. Oh well they say things never go straight when you want them to dont they.
Well the base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount Ive used a piece of blue pearlescent card with one of three papers from the Nitwits Downloads paper set "Puddle Jumping" this first one is a sky pattern, and on top of this is a white background with raindrops on, and down the edge Ive used a border punch, then on top is the last mount which is another white background with sentiments on. Then around the middle Ive wrapped a blue spot ribbon and attached it at the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle with a sentiment that I created on my computer and printed it then mounted in the same way as the image. I should have said I used the new Nestabilitie Labels Die No.17 on this image then drew around it to create the mount. To finish of Ive stuck two boat buttons at the top on the right hand side.

And if you go to her own blogsite she has fabulous yummy blogcandy on offer if you click on the link at the top of my blog you will be taken straight to it. Anyway heres my card for this Challenge.

I have used for this card two of the beautiful Teddy Bo images, both of them of Bo dressed up in his bunny suit, the one on the outside is of him trying to scale a rather large Easter Egg, and the one inside he seems to have been palmed of with a smaller one. Both this images were printed onto white card before being coloured with my copic pens, I then used my oval Nestabilitie Oval Die to cut him out, and a large Scalloped one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark brown card, and for all three pages I have used for my first paper a paper from the "Plain and Simple" set, a all over beige patterned paper, on top of this is a sheet from the "Spring Mix" paper which has spots of different colours and sizes on, and for my third is a sheet from the "Spring and Summer Stripes" paper, this two sheets have been cut in wide strips and Ive used a bunny border punch along both edges before mounting them up on top of the first mount, then across the middle I have wrapped a bunny ribbon which I have attached to the back of the first mount.
On the front I have put the first image of Bo trying to mount a large egg, and the sentiment down the bottom on the right handside, this came from TLC. In the inside on the left is the other image this also was mounted in the middle, and for the other side I have printed a verse onto white card from my computer and then cut this out with my oval Nestabilitie die as I did with the images.
Now that youve seen my card I do hope you will pop across to our Bearlymine Challenge Site and see what the rest of the Design Team have to show you, as they are a team of very talented ladies and I know they will inspire you into creating cards for this challenge.

And this is my card for the Challenge.

I have used this gorgeous digi stamp from Teddy Bo, hes all dressed up in a bunny suit, I coloured him with my copic pens before cutting him out with my Egg Nestabilitie Die, then drew around the same die to create the mount for him. The sentiment is one from TLC and I have printed it onto a piece of white card and then cut it out with my rotatrim and mounted this also onto a piece of blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount I have used a piece of blue pearlescent card, then I used three papers from the Nitwit Downloads set "Chicks and Bunnies", the first one being a all over egg pattern, and on top of this is a piece of yellow check paper down which one edge I have used a chick Martha Stewart border punch. Then on top of this is a all over sentiment pattern which was mounted on yet another piece of the same blue card.
I then wrapped a egg patterned ribbon around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount, I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. As its for a young man I didnt put any other embellishments on it this time.

A Card for Mo and Cute Card Thursday Challenges

Well Good Afternoon All, the sun is out and its gorgeous and warm and Im enjoying sitting indoors playing with my craft stuff, this card will be the last one I will be posting now till my Mondays Scheduled one as we are of to London tomorrow for four days, firstly to go to Ally Pally on Saturday, then to visit daughters and granddaughters on Sunday and finally before coming home Monday a quick visit to a dear friend in Sussex, so its going to be a busy time but hopefully rewarding one way or another.
This card has been created for Mo's "How does your Garden Grow" I thought it was In the Garden so its a bit of the mark this one but I hope they dont mind shes resting with her icecream after helping dad with the garden, and Cute Card Thursdays "Totally Tropical" I felt the colour choice was very tropical hope they accept it. Ive used this sweet image of "Lacie with an Icecream" for my choice and coloured her with my copic pens before cutting her out with the Rectangle Die and the new Nestabilitie Fleur De Lis Rectangle die for her mount, Ive used a bright yellow pearlescent card for this. The sentiment is one of the Lili of the Valley stamps and this was stamped and mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of the same yellow card and one of three papers from Donnas of Bearlymine Designs "Daffodils" arnt they gorgeous, its a special collaberation with Fred she Said, Ive used this first paper a yellow background with the Daffs on, and the second and third mounts are mounted on bright green card and are basically a green background with yet more of the daffs in different combinations one has spots and the other just plain.
I then threaded green seambinding ribbon through the holes of the mount and created a large bow at the top, I then positioned it on towards the right with the sentiment at the bottom on the left. To finish of I cut out some circles from some left over paper and created three flowers which were then stuck to the top on the left with some silicone glue and punched out leaves.

Good Morning Everyone, well we have now reached our eighth Challenge for the The Paper Shelter and this week its a very easy one "Anything Goes" but don't forget to be in with a chance to win our fabulous voucher you must use one of their Images, please don't forget this as its the only way you've got of winning this voucher, and believe me when I say it buys a lot of images and even gorgeous papers and they are certainly a brilliant price. I would suggest you go to there website here and see for yourself.
For this challenge I have used a real fun image "Funny Easter Bunny" and you will find it here
Ive printed him onto white card before colouring him with my copic pens, afterwards I cut him out with my Egg Shape Nestabilitie die and drew around the die to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and have stamped it also onto white card before cutting it out with my rotatrim and mounting it on yet a bit more of the same pearlescent card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of yellow card and one of three papers from the Nitwit Downloads its called "Chicks and Bunnies" and the first paper has Easter Eggs all over it, on top of this is a mount with a paper with carrots on, and the third mount is another all over sentiment pattern with everything rabbit inspired on it. I then wrapped a egg ribbon around the top of the card and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive used some of the left over papers and two retro flower punches to create the flowers that I stuck at the top on the left, I mounted them on some silicone glue and some punched out leaves.
I do so hope that now youve seen my card it will inspire you to take part in this weeks Challenge over on our blog site, do please now pop over to The Paper Shelter site and see what the rest of the talented team have created for you

A Card for Several Magnolia Challenges

Good Morning Everyone, well the skys are cloudy and its a bit chilly today lets hope the sun comes out presently and warms the place up or its out with the long johns again if not. Anyway todays card has been created for several Magnolia Challenges Totally Tildas "Sweet Treats" Magnolia Down Unders "Heavy Metal" and Just Magnolias "Anything Goes" and Ive used this sweet (pun) Tilda with her lollipop, Ive stamped her onto white card before colouring her with my copic pens, after which I cut her out with my circle Nestabilitie Die. Now the mount shes in is the new Nestabilitie's Heart Circle and by gum it was a pain to get out of the die, it kept tearing at one or other of the sides, so Ive cheated and mount two up together but have cut the torn edges away, so be prepared for a fight with it to get out of the die if you decide you like it enough to buy it.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue pearlescent card with one of two papers from the Dovecoat "Tea House" papers, the first paper is an all over white background with teapots and cups all over it in a strip pattern, the second paper is a pink flower (spots) paper and Ive used my heart border punch on the two edges of this one. I then ran a piece of the same blue card through my cuttlebug with a cupcake embossing folder and created a strip to stick down the left hand side of the card.
The sentiment is one of the same Magnolia Set of stamps thats been mounted on one of the new tag dies from Nestabilitie, Ive mounted it on the card and attached it with two metal brads down in the left hand corner. The mounted image was then finished of firstly with some spotted ribbon threaded through the heart holes of the mount and a bow was created and stuck on the edge. The image was positioned in the middle of my card. To finish of Ive stuck two cupcake buttons down the right hand side.

A New Baby Boy Card

Good Morning All, Happy Mothers Day to you Girls, and I hope that your families are spoiling you rotten, its only day that we girls can get all the love and hugs without anyone feeling stupid, yes I know we are entitled to it all the time, but some lads dont like to show it do they? they feel that it isnt butch to show it.
Anyway todays card has been created for one of my friends, her granddaughter is expecting a baby at the end of May and she asked me if I would create a baby boys card for her, and Ive always loved this gorgeous digi from Sugar Nellie and decided it I was good excuse to use it. Ive printed it onto white card then used my copics to very gently colour it, afterwards I cut it out with my rotatrim and mounted it on some blue card. The sentiment is one I found on the internet and added an extra line to it, this was also printed and mounted in the same way as my image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue pearlescent card, the two papers I have used come from the Nitwit Downloads "Bundle of Joy", the first paper is an all over white pattern with bibs, bottles and babygro's on, the second which is difficult to see is a pretty flower and scroll pattern Ive cut this into a 5" square and used one on my all around Martha Stewart Lace punches on it. Over the top of these two papers Ive wrapped a piece of lace and some ribbon around the card and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then positioned my image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. Ive not put any flowers on it as I think as its a boy card we dont want to make to sissy. Hope you like it.

House Mouse Challenge Card - "Sketch"

Good Afternoon All, well the sun is out and it looks fabulous outside but guess what Ive been trying to get some cards made, Ive managed to get my DT card for Monday week done as me and the old man are of and away for a few days next weekend, firstly to visit Ally Palley and then secondly to see hubby daughters and granddaughters. I must be getting daft in my old age, I was so excited about the trip up to London that I completely forgot that from the 11th when we are due home late I have three days of DT cards to post, so I know that Monday's and Tuesdays will have to be scheduled or Im going to be running around like a chicken without a head, so I thought well get a move and get yourself organised and yes my cards are all done ready for me to get scheduling on Thursday before we go.
Anyway getting back to business todays card has been created for this weeks House Mouse Challenge, and this one is a sketch created by "Sue" and Ive used this rather podgy mouse who I believe has been stuffing himself on birthday cake for my image and I coloured him with my copic pens before cutting him out with my Nestabilitie Die No.17, I then drew around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and Ive popped a cupcake on the end and coloured that as well.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with two papers from the "Tea House" set from Dovecraft, the first paper is a all over pattern of cakes, cups of tea and hearts in a triangle pattern, on top of this is yet another paper with the same images but this time in a line. I then wrapped a pink ribbon around the middle and stuck it to the back of the first mount, I positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the left.
To finish of I used four roses of two different sizes and some punched out fern leaves, these were arranged in two opposite corners around the mounted image as the sketch demands.
